Would you say that Bosquet or Bernard were only relevant because of their suit? Even without the suit Cielo medaled in London and got two world golds in 2013. He’s made it to the finals in the 50m free as recently as the 2017 and 2018 world championships. Cielo’s international career is one of the longest of any swimmer, and for you to say that he’s only good because of his suit is just plain stupid.

For reference these people swim the 50m at about 21 seconds. A Mako shark's top speed in about 18 m/s and would swim this pool in a little under 3 seconds.
