  • A video showing how to clean up the corrosion or leaked acid from small batteries...like AA, AAA, C, D or 9 Volts. All you need is about 10 minutes, a q-tip, water and some baking soda. Thanks for watching.

I just wanted to say I did this on my old uno attack game that had been stored away for years and just recently brought back out and found corroded batteries inside. I was sure I wouldn't be able to play this game again, but after doing this it works again. My sister and I can play the game again. Thanks! :)

Thank you. This was helpful. I needed to use my flash light and discovered that the battery acid leaked, and I did not want to throw it away. Thank you.

Thank you!!! I left the batteries in two Halloween toys. I used a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol and nothing. Used your method and both started working again.

No, No! Vinegar and baking soda will make a pretty cool reaction (like a home made volcano). It'd be cool, but make a HUGE mess. I wouldn't do that. But thanks for watching.

Thank you so much for this video. We got a jumperoo second hand for my little guy and after doing a thorough cleaning when I opened the battery compartment and was taken aback. I thought I would have to toss it. Thank you again!

Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it. I also got a tiny chuckle when you mentioned that you were using your kid's medicine cap. I hope you wash that out good before Johnny gets sick again. . . Just kidding ;)

You can submerge the toy in water so long as it has no power. You only short things out when you have power. With batteries out, your good. Just make sure you wait a day to have the toy completely dry out before putting batteries in and or plug it in.
