This is a good example of integration testing! Each piece of the factory might work fine on its own, but when you hook them together, something might break, so you need to test things in context.
One possible improvement would be to hide the "recycling" so that it looks like the candy is actually getting shipped out at the final stage. You could add an illusory "packing" stage where the open box appears to be sealed. In reality the open box discreetly dumps the candy and is swapped out for a closed box. The first stage could also be an illusion where the candy is being made from raw ingredients or something. If you can hide the fact that the system is a closed loop it would really sell the idea that this is a factory.

Candy machines always makes me happy. I vaguely remember in the old internet, there was a lego candy machine with just mindstorms controllers, which sorts candies by colour, puts 3 candies of choice into a small glass jar and screws a lid on.

I love this. Only two things I would add: -flip the shipping container conveyor belt on its side, but keep the containers up. Then use a cam grove to drive the dumping action. no lever arm needed for tipping it, and no lever arm needed for tucking it under again. -it would be cool to see a tubular drag conveyor
Simply amazing! Such a nice combination between Technic, Mindstorms, extra LED's, servo's. Really love these kind of factory builds. Also well made video keeping you focused what will come extra next, keep on going!

Honestly could take a video of just the factory going for like- an hour just to have it on in the background, or just to be satisfied watching the candies get made, sorted, put in the boxes, being "Shipped" and then having more "Made" and sorted again, going through the loop over and over for an hour.
Your videos are amazing, honestly at 328k subs your channel is underrated, I know how much work it must be to put these machines together while also having it on camera with such quality, and coding is always just tiring. I hope you keep up the awesome videos and enjoy making them.

first off, amazing build, i watched the entire thing on a different account, second off we have a 7ish month old cat we found that watched at least 15 minutes of this in rapt fascination to the point the crinkle ball that she loves couldn't distract her. so it apparently has the cat seal of approval. 😂😂 thank you for sharing!
1-it would have been better if you had made a way for the white candies to make it back to sorting so it wouldn’t eventually lose that extra bit. 2- at the end there was a single orange candy hiding between the hoppers and conveyer system leading to the sorting line infront of the white candies If you spotted it comment below

Neat little video. I love you "finger snap and it's done" edits as well as the "toss it at the thing and it clicks into place" edits and your "This isn't working THROW IT AWAY" little bits. Really you keep the video interesting with just these small little things and no voice over and it works really well. Thanks for the video.
