@@falconswoops1334 First of all let me say that I'm an Arab. Secondly, you clearly don't know what you're talking about in terms of the Language nor the Islamic religion or else you'd know one of the very first verses of the Qur'an (which is of course in Arabic), which ultimately makes you an ignorant of what you claim to understand.
      Chapter 112 Absoluteness سورة الإخلاص
In the name of of Allah the Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ. قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

      And there is none like unto Him. وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Thirdly, there's no kinds of Qur'an, so that you can claim someone has his own kind, Qur'an doesn't have versions unlike the Bible. There's one Qur'an and it's written in Arabic!
Advice (from someone that has Arabic as his first language), Go back to your sources or whatever you're reading in regards to the Arabic language, throw it all in the bin. Get a reliable Source to read from, before you make a fool out of yourself again!

This is a disgusting and BASELESS claim. It’s based entirely on the fact John’s narrative differs, which it doesn’t whatsoever. John was called the “beloved apostle” because Jesus and the Holy Spirit gave him memory of the MOST IMPORTANT things Jesus said concerning the Kingdom of Heaven. John was given THE Revelation!

    • @hamzatariq4037

@@joshuacooper9946 yea no doubt THE john was a beloved apostle. The book of john however is a book of fiction. I automatically assume a persons intelligence level when they say the book of John is "accurate". Even according to Bart Ehrman, THE LEADING scholar in the new testament studies, the book of John is not accurate. Every scholar worth their salt knows this. Please stop speaking with emotions and do a little research. I could go on and on about how he bible has been changed. But what do I know? I'm just a muslim so go and read biblical scholars so you get some affirmation. Your own scholars would disagree with you.

“The wise men shall be put to shame; they shall be dismayed and taken; behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord, so what wisdom is in them?”
      Jeremiah 8:9 KJV
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.

Useful books and interview with the author. This should lead to better understanding of Christianity. Again the Revised New Jerusalem Bible - The Study Bible - Study Edition (2019) comes up. In a Bible study group we always said a prayer before we started reading and had discussions. Here is that prayer (author unknown): "Merciful God, anoint me with your Holy Spirit. As I read your Word, let me hear your voice speaking to me within. Give me wisdom to understand your message to me. Let your Word be the joy of my heart and the light of my feet. Give me strength to build my life on your Word. May I rejoice in the blessedness and hearing your Word and keeping it. Speak, Lord, your servant is listening. Thank you, Jesus. Praise you Jesus, Amen". Print out this prayer and stick it to the inside cover of your Bible.

It is really sad when God whom the trinatarian Christians call the father is so forgotten and pushed aside in favor of Jesus. The prayers and thank yous are directed toward Jesus as if ‘the father’ is just a cheerleader in the background. Jesus to the Trinitarian Christians is in front and center and ‘the father’ is in the retirement home. Satan has been working real hard to blind the eyes of people to turn away from the god of Jesus, the true god, and focus on a created human being who ate food answered the call of nature and experience death. The problem is they are so blind to the truth that they do not realize their folly and count themselves among the righteous.

Time of Writing. Subscriptions, appearing at the end of Matthew’s Gospel in numerous manuscripts (all being later than the tenth century C.E.), say that the account was written about the eighth year after Christ’s ascension (c. 41 C.E.). This would not be at variance with internal evidence. The fact that no reference is made to the fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy respecting Jerusalem’s destruction would point to a time of composition prior to 70 C.E. (Mt 5:35; 24:16) And the expression “to this very day” (27:8; 28:15) indicates a lapse of some time between the events considered and the time of writing.

Since there was no certain, certified death of Jesus on the cross it then logically follows that there can be no absolute certainty about his post crucifixion resurrection.

Time and Place of Composition. According to ancient tradition, Mark’s Gospel was first made public in Rome, this being the testimony of such early writers as Clement, Eusebius, and Jerome. Mark was in Rome during Paul’s first imprisonment there. (Col 4:10; Phm 1, 23, 24) Thereafter he was with Peter in Babylon. (1Pe 5:13) Then, during Paul’s second imprisonment in Rome, Paul asked that Timothy come soon and bring Mark with him. (2Ti 4:11) Probably Mark did then return to Rome. Since no mention is made of Jerusalem’s destruction in fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy, Mark must have compiled his account before that event in 70 C.E. His presence in Rome at least once, and likely twice, during the years 60-65 C.E. suggests that Mark may have completed his Gospel there sometime during those years

I wonder the gap between Jesus' life and the gospels rendering (some forty to sixty years later). Much happened in that time which includes the Jewish wars, the defense of Jerusalem by both Jews and Idumeans (who had been circumcized into Judea in 140 BC) against the Romans? How did those events (and more: and in reaction to other gospels/letters of Paul) affect the writers 'telling' the biography of Jesus? (And the separation of the first rendering from the final rendering in Canonization in 467 (over 350 years later)?

Is John connected to a different group of devotees? You're quote "I am the way the truth and the life " seems very similar to Horus "I am the way, the Truth and the Light" (or life)...sorry, can't remember...then using the name Mary, which in Ancient Egyptian means 'darling, beloved' and is usually a title or invocation to the Goddess Isis. Presumably his mothers name would be Miriam ? Also Jesus quoting that psalm "I say to you ,you are all Gods' ...were there cults in that region similar to something like Vajrayana Buddhism ...you meditate/visualise a God, merge with it and/or become it? I thought Hadrian referring to the devotees of the God Serapis as Christians quite strange...but would that just mean anointed ones or something? Or was there really a connection between these groups?

Egyptian spiritually is shrouded in so much mystery also with so many modern day armchair researchers(myself included) it would be hard to find it’s essence or if Horus said that, I have heard a somewhat similar saying but not that similar. at best I can conclude that kemet had revelation of the truth at one point but through introduction of man made concepts diversely got confused and lost in seeking glory of self rather than glory of the creator. Upon fairly examining the equivalences many draw from other religions to Christian traditions I find them not very convincing. Thanks 🙏

Muhammad was never a true prophet.
I say that because, a true prophet must receive a direct call from God, especially if he is to be the founder of a religion.
Muhammad did not receive a direct call from God.
      Let's start from the beginning.
Muhammad was one day meditating in the cave, a spirit visited him, pressed his chest tightly such that, he thought he was going to die. But on each occasion, Muhammad told the spirit he was illiterate and couldn't read.
After this encounter with the spirit in the cave, Muhammad thought he had been visited by a DEMON and ran to his wife in fear. He said to Khadija, his wife, 'cover me' she covered him until his fear was over.
Muhammad related what had transpired in the cave to his wife and said, 'O Khadija, what is wrong with me? What has happened to me? I am afraid for myself! However, Khadija and on the advice of lbn Neafal her cousin managed to convince Muhammad that the spirit was Gabriel.
But the spirit did not introduce itself as The Angel Gabriel.
      **************************
It is of great importance to identify the SPIRIT who squeezed Muhammad at the cave of Hira near Mecca.
      **************************
Was the spirit really The Angel Gabriel?
      *****************************
      The answer is absolutely NO!
      *****************************
      1) Had the spirit been The Angel Gabriel, he would have calmed Muhammad and relieved his fear. But the spirit left him in extreme distress. The Angel Gabriel appeared to many people before his alleged visit to Muhammad and each time the first thing he did was to allay that person's fear.
      i. When The Angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel, he was afraid but The Angel Gabriel touched him. The Angel Gabriel did not squeeze him or cause him pain, The Angel Gabriel only touched him (Daniel 8:16-18).
ii. The Angel Gabriel also appeared to Zachariah father of John the Baptist who is called Yahya in the Qur'an he identified himself and said to Zachariah : Do not be afraid, Zacharia ...... I am Angel Gabriel that stand in the presence of God (Luke 1:13-19)
iii. The Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, MOTHER of JESUS CHRIST our Lord.
Mary was scared but The Angel Gabriel said to her: Do not be afraid, Mary (Luke 1:30)
      2) Had the spirit been The Angel Gabriel, he would not have contradicted his former revelations. Six hundred (600) years before the birth of Muhammad, the REAL Angel Gabriel said to Mary that she would bear a child who will be the Son of God: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35).
But the spirit which appeared to Muhammad told him JESUS was not the son of God:... The Christians call Christ the son of Allah .... Allah's curse be on them (Sura 9:30).
If; the spirit that appeared to Muhammad was The Angel Gabriel, it would not have said JESUS was not the son of God.
That would make the Angel Gabriel a liar would it not?
So would it really have been the Angel Gabriel that appeared in the cave?
      3) Had the spirit been Gabriel. He would have taught Muhammad to read and write.
The Qur'an declares that Allah taught JESUS how to write: "'And Allah will teach him the book and wisdom, the Torah and the gospel" (Sura 3:48).
The famous Qur'an Commentator ibn Kathir in his exposition of the Qur'an (vol.1 p.344) says:
'The book mentioned here means write. We would expect that Mohammed, who calls himself the seal of the prophets, would be taught to read and write.
The spirit said in his revelation to Muhammad Read: and thy lord the most Bounteous, who teaches by the pen, teacheth man that which he know not (Sura 96:3-4).
The question is if God teaches man that which he know not by the pen, why did he not teach Muhammad (the 'senior prophet) how to read and write instead of leaving him illiterate all his life?
      4) We learn from Islamic tradition that on several occasions when Muhammad saw the spirit, he would be so frightened he would run home to his wife and ask her to cover him with clothes:
"I was called again and raised my head, and there on the Throne in the open atmosphere he, i.e. Gabriel (peace be upon him) was sitting. I began to tremble on account of fear. I came to Khadija and said: Wrap me up.
They wrapped me up and threw water on me..." (Sahih Muslim book 1 ch.74 no.307 p.100. Narrated by Jabir)
At other times, Muhammad experienced some strange physical symptoms. From Hadith Mishkat, we learn that, sometimes he would shrive and swoon, roar like a camel and white foamy saliva would come from his mouth (Hadith Mishkat iv p.359).
Sometimes when he receive revelation(s) there was the sound like the buzzing of bees near his face (source: Umar Ibnu'l Khattab), while at other times, he felt a tremendous headache.
Muhammad once said: "At times it comes to me like the ringing of a bell and that is most severe for me... and at time an Angel in the form of a human being comes to me... (Sahih Muslim vol.4 book 28 no.5765-5767 p.1248)
However, it is unclear why Mohammed later said, "...The bell is the musical instrument of Satan." Sahih Muslim vol.3 book 22 no.5279, also Abu Dawud vol.2 no.2548 -2550
According Ahmad b. Hanbal, "He became distressed, foaming at the mouth and closing his eyes. At times he snorted like a young camel (Ahmad b. Hanbal I, 34, 464, vi.163). This gave rise to the allegation in certain quarters Muhammad was epileptic.
Prophet Muhammad according to 'Amr Ibn Sharhabil, mentioned to his wife, Khadija, that he feared he was possessed by demons and wondered whether others consider him possessed [i.e. evil spirits] (source: pfanoter 1910:345).
These statements about the physical symptoms exhibited by Muhammad when he saw the spirit were not made by strangers, non Muslims or people who did not know him.
These statements were made by Aisha, Muhammad's favourite wife, relatives and his close followers who strongly believed that he was the seal of the prophets.
All these people happened to be very close to Muhammad, whom knew the alleged prophet well!
Yet when the same angel Gabriel visited Daniel, Zachariah and even Mary, none of them had convulsions with foam coming from their mouths.
Neither did they hear the sounds of bells ringing nor the buzzing of bees near their faces. They did not roar like a camel or swoon, etc.
Over time Muhammad started having some doubts about the revelations he received from the spirit.
Allah (God) directed Muhammad to check the truth from the 'Book:'
If thou wert in doubt as to what we have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the book from before thee (Sura Yunus 10:94).
The 'book' mentioned in this verse is the Holy Bible.
If Muhammad were a learned man, he would have known what the Holy Bible says concerning Satan:
'And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light'.
      (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Mohammed was not only deceived then, but the hadiths record that later he was under an evil spell too. (Bukhari vol.4 book 53 chapter 34 and vol.4 no.400 p.267)
      (Article credited to Dr Labib).
Muhammads own testimony thought it was DEMONIC.
      DEMONIC.

It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him. 40 I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.' 41 'O unbelieving and perverse generation,' Jesus replied, 'how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.' 42 Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. 43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God. While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did,

*_The Noble Quran is the last and final testament/revelation/scripture to humankind revealed 14 centuries ago. The Noble Quran is the only scripture that confirms its authenticity, preservation and free from any previous or future corruption of scripts/words of Allah for all time. All other scriptures send before the Noble Quran was meant for that particular nation/period/people who lived at that time. The Islamic belief is very clear on salvation and that the only path is through Allah's mercy and by following/accepting true monotheism._*

So it's dishonest for Christians to quote the Gospel of John because Jesus "never really said those things". But I get the feeling it will still be honest for Muslim apologists to quote John 17:3, John 14:6, John 14:28, John 20:17, etc. ad infinitum in support of the Islamic view of Jesus XD
Also gotta wonder what Muslims would think of forgeries (as in actual forgery, not pseudepigrapha) in the Qur'an like the story of Mary in Q. 3:44, which is from the Protoevangelium of James, a well-known story at the time, but which the Qur'an claims is a revelation of the Unseen which Muhammad couldn't have known about. 8-|

Er, yes, I do. LOL But you're right that I like to hold up a mirror to Islamic apologists' double standards. And that's no small feat. If they didn't have double standards, they'd have none.

      @Rose
Because even atheist scholars are unanimous that the New Testament is a better source of authentic historical information about Jesus than the Qur'an. Also, I believe the ethical and spiritual teachings of the New Testament are superior to those of the Qur'an and hadith, as well as other religious scriptures. I also believe that the Bible is superior to other scriptures as philosophical literature, story telling, as well as containing what I believe are genuinely miraculous verses. As for the Trinity, I believe it's a legitimate reading of New Testament theology and Christology based on my study of the text.
Now why do you believe the Qur'an is the eternal, inerrant word of God?

    • @hamzatariq4037
      @hamzatariq4037 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Well to answer your question. The biblical canon you have now has been chosen and cherry picked by different councils over time and they were the ones who deemed what was "authentic" and what was not. Read Bart Ehrman or other leading scholars who tell you this. This was the form of christianity that won from many different versions so christians have no way of knowing which version of christianity was actually correct as taught by Jesus. And please dont use emotions and spine-less arguments to uphold your belief. The Protoevangelium of James was also another book that was thrown out of the bible by the councils> the reason the Quran came was to clarify the bible and correct it. So if the quran says something from one of the books such as Protoevangelium of James, we accept that was what actually happened and the Protoevangelium of James was indeed correct . And no we are not sheep who just believe in something just because it tells us to. That is another debate. The historical accuracy, the miracles of the quran, The logic, sociological, economical, political advice it gives to its reader is beyond any humanly ability. If it can be proven that the quran is in fact a book from God, we should accept what it says right. No matter if it can be found in the bible you have today, because the bible has been altered many times. So the only remaining question is to confirm whether the quran is a word of God or not and we can go from there :)

Well, this is yet another double standard. You cite secular scholarship's criticisms of the Bible, and you think it's reliable, but then you ignore what that same scholarship says about the historical accuracy of stories like the Protoevangelium. It does not have historical weight. Therefore, when your book quotes it as credible, that should give you cause to question the reliability of the Qur'an, rather than just assuming it's true because the Qur'an says it. The evidence that the Qur'an was authored by humans vastly outweighs evidence to the contrary, I'm afraid.

Matthew sees himself as (faithfully) CLARIFYING what Mark said. It's not about correcting an error. He's addressing/ anticipating questions that believers would ask.
e.g. Mark says that Jesus was baptised.
A believer reading Mark might ask "Wait.. does that mean that Jesus was a sinner...?:"
Well, no, Mark doesn't say that at all... but Matthew looks to head off those ... mistaken... questions in advance by having John and Jesus discuss it.
No text of any sort has ever or will ever be 100% explicitly clear. ALL text is a summary and can be misunderstood. This is why lawyers exist.

      As for John...
The author of John has been meditating on Jesus' life for decades, in prayerful conversation with him, thinking about what he said and did.
I think the sayings are not so much 'made up' (out of thin air) ... as paraphrasing what the author understands to be Jesus' message.
Personally, I trust that John has done that well and deeply captures Jesus' self-image and significance.
