Prince really put his foot in this track! And Stevies cool but eerie voice over it was the knockout punch! Love it!! Any song you can fly to either in the air or on the ground is a good song!
I recently learned that prince produced this tune I can really hear it in the synths reminds me of little red corvette I can't enough of thus instrumental
No one looked as I walked by Just an invitation would have been just fine Said no to him again and again First, he took my heart, then he ran No one knows how I feel What I say unless you read between my lines One man walked away from me First, he took my hand, take me home Stand back, stand back In the middle of my room I did not hear from you It's all right, it's all right To be standing in a line Standing in a line I would cry Do not turn away, my friend Like a willow I can bend No man calls my name No man came So I walked on down away from you Maybe your attention was more Than you could do One man did not call He asked me for my love And that was all Stand back, stand back In the middle of my room I did not hear from you It's all right, it's all right To be standing in a line Standing in a line Standing in a line So I walked on down the line Away from you Maybe your attention was more Than I could do One man did not call Well, he asked me for my love That was all
The part where the electric guitars abruptly cut off and you just hear the synths - you know Stevie’s howling my most favorite part of the song! Love it!
I have an ear for and have known about a lotta connections between songs over the years. But this one slipped past me. Cool to know now. Prince yesss! The Kid!
It is the same chord progression as Little Red Corvette, only in a different key (1/2 step difference). Anybody who knows music, who is familiar with either tune, can hear the inspiration in this song. Stevie is well known for writing songs to other people's tunes, as in Wild Heart taken from the Buckingham tune Can't Go Back. I was surprised to learn that LRC was the inspiration for this tune, but once I heard that it made sense.
When it 1st came out, I thought it sounded like "Little Red Corvette". Then to find out years later Prince's hand was in it, I was like yup.. It almost sounds like "Jump" by Van Halen as well tho'..
This is SO COOL!! I`ve always wanted to hear the instrumentals of this and edge of seventeen, gosh, thank you so much!!! If you could do seven wonders, that would be ROCKINGLY AWESOME!! I love all of Stevie's songs, but I always find myself coming back to seven wonders.
So, tell me Jeremy: Was that "really" PRINCE playing the synthesizer on this track? Or did Stevie just imagine that? It does kinda sound like the type of tones he was producing on his own projects at the time. Maybe "YOU" know...thy keeper of the AMPEX 456's & the SCOTCH 250's...!!!
actually it is only the bass keyboard that is done by Prince. the other, higher keyboard was done by a lady named sandy stewart as far as i know. never heard that prince did the drum machine either.
@@toddgilleylen3438 I have absolutely no idea to whom my 10 year old comment was in response to, or what my point was. At least a decade later rest easy in the knowledge that nobody cares. Thank you for your incredible insight on this matter good sir. Whatever it was, I'm certain I don't care either 🙄
I love me some stevie nicks and love her voice is right for rock this music. However, what makes a song great is if you remove the artist voice and could rock out to the instrumental like this, and yes....i too hear the tune of Little Red Corvette
Stevie asked Prince to compose a song that sounded like LRC because she was so in love with the song. She offered Prince half the royalties if the song went big… he agreed. The rest is history.

This was our wedding entrance music. Could you think of anything more powerful? Like wow. Seriously, 9 years later, wow.
Loved Fleetwood Mack growing up in 70's and Stevies voice.
Damn this shit hits hard.

Ohhh GOD!!!! That synth 4:23 and forward.....just WOW!!!
Are you sure that's synth or guitar?
Love that synth!

Absolutely perfect
This is PERFECT! I needed background music to sing this by request for my friends. Thank you!
Prince tearin them keyboards up..
I wish there was footage of Prince playing in this song he's a legend in my opinion him and Hendrix are tied. True guitar heroes
Ride The Lightning have to throw Little Richard in there also. You can tell Prince was heavily influenced at least by his appearance.
I've been looking still til this day....will get the outtakes some way.
Some how
i guess it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to stream new series online ?
@Randall Wesson Lately I have been using FlixZone. You can find it on google :)
@Romeo Damari Definitely, I've been watching on Flixzone for since april myself =)
Thank you for sharing the instrumental version. My most fav song of Stevie as soloist. So many great songs with FM too!
RIP Prince. Such a genius.
Just read story on WIKI! UNREAL

Ficou muito bom mesmo beauttiful
Little known fact...The keyboards for this song was created by Prince..a gift to Nicks
Linda música estrumental beultiful
Little Red Corvette, along with the album 1999 by Prince, was released in 1982. Stand Back was released in 1983.
Thanks for posting this!!

THAT WAS AWESOME!!
Prince...awesome! Great workout tune
Wowwww
I LOVE THIS SONG
Prince
I some times play this over and FKN Over and OvER
Same man same
I am going to write something over this as a tribute to Stevie 💛💛💛

¡¡¡¡¡¡fenomenal!!!!!
Getting a robyn-dancing on my own vibe
Steve Lukather’s distinguished muted guitar riffs...

No, 'little red corvette' is from the album "1999" (that's the title) from the year 1982
Who cares!

Joe Bonamassa‘s interview with Steve Lukather brought me here.
This is good, very good. Reminds me of the game "Trap Gunner" for some reason.
Prince helped her with this song.
Anyone who can't hear "Little Red Corvette" needs to get their ears checked. Obvious inspiration going on...
Prince and Stevie collaborated on the song ;)
I hear Night Rider by Midnight Star. The drums tip that off.
Jeremy Doe I wouldn’t go that far.
@@MrJsfingers then you should get your hearing checked.

There is also something of Radio Gaga right at the beginning.
Stevie was helped by Prince in producing the track.
oberheim power :)
Stevie's solo work is not nearly as good as her day's in fleetwoodmac but the instrumental to this song just screams's the decade.
Exactly. This is THE 80s
She looks a bit like Bet Lynch in this photo.
has the same melody as little red corvertte by prince
Sandra V not the same, but very very similar
Also Jamie Starr Scenario - Welcome 2 Thee Lite
Oberheim and Prince FTW.
Who cares!

Haha, what?!
Can you believe Prince composed this?
Holly Dance she's inspired in little red corvette (Prince)
Holly Dance actually he didn't. Stevie composed he collaborated and played keyboards

Enough about Prince. She was the real deal!
