Fleetwood Mac - "Sisters Of The Moon" (1978 Outtake Without Castanets) - NEWLY SURFACED!!

- Thank you again to Sandor.
This is a newly surfaced take of Sisters Of The Moon. A very commonly circulated outtake of the 1978 version (featured on the Deluxe Tusk) has castanets throughout and it does not fade out in the end. This new one fades, but its LONGER than the Deluxe 1978 outtake. NO CASTANETS!! I believe this is just a good alternate mix of the 1978 outtake.
I enhanced the sound on all of these new recordings. I could not fix source distortion. - เพลง
Stevie makes you believe in magic and sorcery and life everlasting.
No. Not quite.
Hahahaha
@@laurielewis2745 I think maybe she does whether we want to admit it or not.
She is not a witch. She believes in the son of God, Jesus
nobody else growls in their heart deep and elates without words
I actually love this version over the popular album version! Sisters of the Moon has a great beat to it, too! ❤️
Best cut... stevie, vocals are more forceful.. and Christine... the songbird is singin in heaven....RIP...... what a powerful version!
This song NEVER gets old. Stevie sounds so bewitching on this track along with the music. It’s like a movie I can literally see based on the lyrics. I am so glad I am a part of the generation when real artist made timeless music that will be here & still sounding great, forever! Love me some Fleetwood Mac, but am I die hard Stevie Nicks fan.
Stevie girl IS bewitched, darling.
Tiempo is pushing it❤
Gothic masterpiece.
So cinematic and dark!
I love it when Stevie and Christine sing together. Both are such legends and hero’s for women to look up to in the music industry on how to always keep your dignity and self.
Her music was my resolve...helped me to remain alive...
the story goes that Stevie wrote the song during the Rumors tour, while being horribly sick.....she started doing cocaine and came down with the flu. she losed weight very quickly and was emaciated …..she looked in the mirror and actually started writing the song while she looked. "Intense silence as she walked in the room....illness.....and a black widow spider is what Stevie had become from being ill. Stevie said the song came out of her frustration with hardcore fans who honestly believed she was one of the greatest witches sent to help them. the two themes come together......strength in illness.....and the importance of patience and love for your fans.....even if they're crazy.
Fascinating story.
Wow thanks for the tidbit .. so interesting
Watch the 2020 special on Tusk singing this and the 'crowd is captive by her energy
She had a abortion
@@TheOracleOfFate So ?? Many women have. What does that have to do with the song ?
I'm 54 and still list. I grew up listening to Stevie.
a big change for the ears, being used to the released version. I LOVE the blending of Stevie and Christine's voices esp. towards the end - magic!
Like the studio version, this song is supernatural.
My favorite version of this song
Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, love them. My sisters of the moon......
My VERY favorite Fleetwood Mac song. Timeless...and Stevie's signature...
Intense silence
As she walked in the room
Her black robes trailing
Sister of the moon
And a black widow spider makes
More sound than she
And black moons in those eyes of hers
Made more sense to me
Heavy persuasion
It was hard to breathe
She was dark at the top of the stairs
And she called to me
And so I followed
As friends often do
I cared not for love, nor money
I think she knew
The people, they love her
And still they are the most cruel
She asked me
Be my sister, sister of the moon
Some call her sister of the moon
Some say illusions are her game
Wrap her in velvet
Does anyone, ah, know her name
So we make our choices
When there is no choice
And we listen to their voices
Ignoring our own voice

STEVIE is most deffenently THEE BEST FEMALE VOCALIST/SONG WRITER EVER, Hands Down, and quit possibly the greatest ever, male or female!!!!
@@thorpescott1202 Male not,Prince.
Couldn't find the lyrics for the end bit anywhere. Thank you.
This is my favourite Stevie song, she nails it on this song, not this version particularly but what a brilliant song, sung by a brilliant artist. Would love to wrap her in velvet, I wish you were my sister of the moon. Sister, brother, sister!!
I love it so much 🤍
Christine's vocals really stand out in this version, awesome!
I don't even hear Christine's voice on this cut.
Listen to around 2:57 thats Christine coming in with an "Ooooh"
SinisterStar621 Christine who
It is Christine Mcvie at 2:57.
Yes, Christine's vocals really do stand out in this version, so very hauntingly....I think it is just Christine singing back up without Lindsey
One of the best in a powerful collection..........love this tune!
So intense this song dark deep and all that amazing stuff!!!!!!!! And her voice omg!!!
I saw them in 1978 before Tusk and this was on the set. It was really great.
I did and I will always love this woman.
you can't do this song wrong stevie just nailed it any way you slice it
killer song one of top 5.
beautiful version, my favorite is 82 Mirage tour live .. great no matter what version, as it's my favorite song of Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks, her demo version is also superb.
fan
1besieged Ahh im having absolutely the same opinion thats so cool :)))
1besieged me too. Love the Mirage 82 version.
I must say I like her piano demo version best.
yes best was encore in 1983
"I love you Stevie Nicks! Rock on sister!"
A blast from the past.
"She was dark at the top of the stairs"
Never heard this track before.... great!
So raw so beautifully real
This is my favorite live Tusk tour
This is one Stevie’s best
This is freaking awesome!
I love the demos and outtakes, ‘if you were my love’ should have been on mirage….
Maravilhosa!
Queen
That’s awesome...
The queen
More powerful than a supernova
I care not
FOR LOVE
NOR
MONEY
But the people, the people who says "LOVE"
They're always the most cruel.
..nor money..
and i think she knew...
MY QUEEN take me with you
Super creepy lyrics but it’s an ear worm you can’t rid yourself of easily.
Thanks.

The great years
cool!
This song would make a great theme music from a scarlet sorceress film/ or a derivative series set in wicca time.
Prefer this to the album version!
try the piano version of sisters of the moon Stevie Nicks
lisa bennage yes, the piano demo version is great, my favorite version. Just Stevie and the piano, no effects..we hear her incredible voice in it’s purest form.
1/2 Step lower than the best known version
So we make our choices when there is no choice. How true about the world we live in, especially the political world. Replacing one evil with another evil doesn't make any sense to me.
At what point of the song are there castanets?
Edit: I was referring to the studio version, not this recording. There is apparently a similar demo that does feature castanets
Drummervirus Drums lol. I think the sub-title should read " without maracas".
the title is 'without castanets' .... are you the type that orders a cheeseburger without cheese and then goes to look for the cheese?
no castanets.. meaning it's close to this one in the link below.. but without the castanets.

@@drazzle6267 not maracas... Castanets. See above comment of mine with the link to the one with them.
I think they mean cow bells
Steve Nicks the best songwriter
love. you. lillian. fly. drew bmw

Never heard this
Non è necessario alc😢 commento perché Stevie è fantastica punto e basta
I have wondered if Peter Green had anything to do with this song ever.
black ey
So cute, how Stevie girl attempts to veil as though Catholic.
The best version is the mirage tour live with Lyndsey Buckingham with Stevie on vocal like a volcano is about to erupt
