- In this video I am showing how to make a Leather Bag in a shape of a Lotus flower! This is a great project if you have big scaps of leather. Be creative and combine any colors you have available!
This is a low difficulty project... you are welcome to ask anything you want in the comments...

Bought this pattern, but I really wish there was instructions to do some sort of lining for the bag. Also, written Instructions for the entire bag would be nice....

That’s pretty dang sharp ;) sans strap etc the body would make a great decorative piece on a table, perhaps with a potted plant in it-protected from water of course. Or faux flowers, empty. It has a lot of uses.

Absolutely gorgeous. I think the sounds could be part of an ASMR. With the leather that has the pressed texture in it, how did you keep the dye on only the high parts? Just being very careful to no put much dye on your cloth and very little pressure? Thank you for sharing!

The dyeing process is as done as you describe! Very little amount of dye, little pressure and keep the cloth as flat as possible

Thank you. The pattern is stamped on the leather. I design wooden stamps for leather myself.

Wow how did you get the day to just dye the high points of the stamping on the first part?? When I use dye it just dyes everything! Would love to know the technique.
Use a small cotton cloth with a small amount of dye... the cloth needs to be almost dry. Then lay the fabric as flat as possible and dye the surface as I show in this video. Touch very slightly.
Could I use fabric for the small petals instead of leather?? I only have enough to make the large petals at the current moment and need to purchase more if I can sub it out in some way

Can most of this be sewn with a machine?
Hi. The patterns are made for hand stitching. If you have the proper sewing machine you can use it for some parts, but it won't be easy.
Really want to know where you got your press and what kind it is.
i have a 18 ton hydraulic press for leather cutting.
Brand? I’ve seen them between $80-$200 and I’m not sure about the quality of the cheaper ones.
@@monimaybe @Monica Bergeson hydraulic presses costs about 3.000 USD. The brand I have is the SANDT HYDRAULIC. You don't necessarily need this heavy duty machine though... Sizzix Big shot pro will work as well.
