Thank you so much. This was easy to follow and very informative. I'm off now to try my first knitted garment - a scarf for my daughter - using circular needles! I'm 70 years old so hopefully you're never too old to try something new!

The one thing no one ever addresses (that I can find) in knitting in the round videos is which side is your working side and how you should position the work when you’re looking at it. I discovered, when I switched from flat to circular needles halfway through a sweater, that I was knitting the “wrong” or inner side of my round work (if that makes sense). I still get confused when beginning a project in the round and would love a video that addresses this, which is super important! I hope what I’ve said makes sense! Thanks.

    Dear Devina,
A few months ago your video on how to knit a scarf helped me knit one for my girlfriend. She was very pleased and our anniversary is coming up.
Here I am, making a scarf for myself and I was wondering this: "Could you please, with your nice tutorials and exceletent explaining, make a tutorial on how to make a pair of mittens? I have searched high and low for a good video, but you do the best."
    Thanks for the tutorials,

lol I had no idea about the different sizes of round needles and I wanted to make a hat for the first time, so I got about idk my circular needles are probably 24 inches but I figured out how to get around it. You just pull the extra wire out so that it extends between two of your stitches. It gets pretty annoying since you have to constantly adjust it as you go around but, hey, it works if you don't have any other sized needles.

I'm a new knitter, currently knitting my first striped hat in the round and am about to decrease for the 3rd time - I'm concerned about ruining my yard by stretching it too much by finishing the crown on the full cord, but I'm not confident about the magic loop after watching another knitting teacher. I am a extremely new knitter and I am so glad I learned this but I do have a question…
Needles ( talking just circular needles) come in all different sizes as well as different sized cables. Is it better to buy the needles that come with cables you can take on & off; such as buying a set of needles and cables?
I hope that makes sense. Because I just bought a needles that have a removable cable & got the largest cable there was thinking that that will work for anything I want to make! 😮 again, I am glad I watched your video, I learned something!

Thank you for your excellent instructions. I am about to use circular knitting needles for the first time. The pattern I'm using is for a snood in chunky with 6.5mm needles. Finished product is 10.5" wide and 14 3/4" long. No needle length is mentioned in the pattern. I just cast on the 88 stitches required onto a 32" needle. Will this work?
From what you say in this video, I should be using a 16" length.

It should work, but you might need to stretch the stitches across the needles if they’re tight

Hello i have a question? When you use the 16" needles does this hat one size fits all?

Can you make a video on how to make a cable scarf? You're the best one to teach knitting but there's only a few videos! Please make more!!! :)

Thank you for showing this tutorial. Now I understand what I've been doing wrong when trying to Knit a hat. I would give up every time I tried. I was using the wrong cords all this time. I am going to get me a 16 inch and some shorty tips needles very soon. Thank you for all the valuable information, it really helped me!

Thanks for explaining the importance of needle length! I realize now the circular needles I have are WAY too big for the hats I want to make. LOL

I feel like in certain patterns might include an intentional twist, might be kind of cool depending on what you are making.

I finally found this tutorial! I’m sorry I’m asking you so many questions.
First of all, when learning to cast on etc. is learning that just the same? I would think so but I want to make sure.
Also, do use the longer loops with only the larger needles?
    Thanks SO much❤❤

I love the pattern on your “oopsie, twisted” example. Could you share the pattern please?
