In Singapore we gather as a family and toss Yu Sheng. It's basically shredded vegetables with some spices and honey, plum sauce, etc. And we toss it up with chopsticks shouting our wishes for the year and eat it all. It's basically a salad, but really unhealthy lolol.

I totally miss being able to go to lunar new year festivals and just celebrating them. the memory i had when i was little just walking around at night with my family and looking at the lanterns, the people who preformed chinese dragon dances, the food, the cats that you would pet at the temple, the firecrackers, the money you get ;)) and just the whole time was awesome. hopefully when things clear up they could hold more festivals.

I love celebrating the Lunar new year with my family back in Thailand, it has always been a blessing that we get to celebrate it together. I moved back to the UK and still keep a tradition of leaving food for a sort of shrine. I didn't have time to pray to it this morning but after I came back from school I sat me and my sister down and taught her what we do. The Lunar new year is something I'd be devastated to lose❤️

I honestly LOOOVEEE Lunar New Year soooo much better than regular new year, bc of all the pretty colors and yummy food! I’m not Asian myself, but I have an adopted sister from China! She also loves Chinese New Year as well, and we decorate our house with similar decorations as in the video! Of course, we couldn’t have as big of a celebration bc of COVID, but we still Zoom each of our family members in a group meeting and they have the same desserts and decorations as us and it’s so fun! 😍 🧧🎎🎊
