Beaver Dam Mud Runner Assembly & Test Run || Building My Ultimate Small Water Jon Boat!

I am building my ultimate small water jon boat and this is phase one! I got my first mud motor - the Beaver Dam Mud Runner kit with a 6.6 hp Predator Engine! My ultimate goal is to have a boat that will run through shallow/small water for both hunting and fishing. Not only do I want it for duck hunting but I would like to take it in hard to access places for turkey and deer and find some hidden fishing holes with it. I'll be opting for a jon boat over a sneak boat because I think it will be more versatile. Stay tuned for more updates to this project!

Looking good man! I would suggest a 14 foot over the 12. Look forward to the project.

Thats sorta what I'm leaning towards now. A 1436 is only 30 lbs heavier than a 1236. I test drove the motor on my old 12 ft v bottom and it felt small, unsteady and cramped. I think a 14 ft may be the way to go.
