    • @jeggocrochet
      @jeggocrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I explain in the video, whichever hook your yarn recommends, go up 1.5mm in hook size. Mine recommended 4.5mm I think so I used a 6mm hook. The usual yarn I use for this dress recommends a 2.5mm hook so I usually use a 4mm hook. Hope that makes sense 😊

    Super easy tutorial to follow, thanks for sharing! I just started yesterday. I think I made it a little too big accidentally though, it fits good around my hips but it's looking like it will be too big at the bust area. Is there a way that I can decrease the # of stitches as I get to the end of the body part, so when I wear it, the top part will fit tighter? And if you could share how I would be decreasing it by.. that would be great :')

    • @jeggocrochet
      @jeggocrochet  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! Due to the nature of the pattern it would be quite difficult for me to explain how to decrease but here goes😂 The best way would probably be to decrease on the dc rounds (where there aren't any holes) and do dc2together intermittently around. If you did this each time you go to a dc round, the dress would gradually get more fitted towards the top. Keep trying it on as you go so you know whether to keep decreasing or if you've already decreased enough! I would personally decrease by about 10 stitches on each dc round but it depends how big it is / how tall you are and how far along in the pattern you are etc. I hope that helps somewhat 😘

    How do you keep it from twisting while you are making it?

  • @jencrochetingradtech5913
    @jencrochetingradtech5913 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I always use to have a twist in my starting chain so I began to do the ‘hack’ where you chain up like 10 or 15 then take the working yarn off the hook and put your last chain made on the hook followed by the working chain. Did that make sense? It alot easier especially when you’re working with a very long starting chain

    I just started to make this and it was going really good until I bought the pattern. How come after every beginning chain in your pattern you say to "turn" but you aren't doing this in the video? I'm so confused are they not compatible?

    • @jeggocrochet
      @jeggocrochet  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello, thank you for pointing this out! The first dress I made (when I wrote the pattern) genuinely did turn after every row and I'm not sure why I didn't in this video honestly. It really doesn't make much difference at all but that is a small error from me so I do apologise. You can continue to make the dress either with or without turning (I would continue as you have been).
      I will update the written pattern as soon as possible to match the video and as an apology I would like to offer you a pattern for free. You can email me at georgiajeggo@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss further with me / let me know what pattern you'd like. I know one free pattern isn't much but I'm a very small business still trying to get myself out there so every review / comment / sale counts.

      @jeggocrochet do you have a video of how to do it that way? I cant quite figure out how to just do the chain then slip stitch it in, im probably over thinking it & confusing myself

      @@catdoherty6877 so when you make the chain, is that chain attached to the dress? If so, then when the chain is the length you want, keep the hook in the chain that you've just created. Insert the hook into a stitch on the other side of the dress (front or back), yarn over and pull through both loops on the hook. Does that help? I don't think I have a video but if you're still stuck, email me at georgiajeggo@gmail.com 😘

    What's missing from this tutorial is the most important thing - should your starting chain be an odd or even number...

    My hips seem to be bigger than my boobs will it make it baggy at the top ?

    • @jeggocrochet
      @jeggocrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      No if anything it'll be baggier at the bottom if your hips are smaller! Make sure the beginning chain can fit around your bust but if you don't want it too baggy around that area then make sure the chain sits closer to them if that makes sense. So say your bust was 38 inches, you could make the chain at about 40 inches and then it wouldn't be too baggy around your bust and would drop down and be more swishy at the bottom if your hips were say 34 inches for example. Hope that helps let me know if you need more clarification!
