I really wish I could go past row 11!!! I’ve frogged this three times and still can’t the repeat row 2 and 3 to end correctly. At my end of my row I have a DC and a stitch. And it’s supposed to end two DC into the last stitch. My previous row has 139 hdc. And no matter what I do, I still with a dc and a extra stitch!!
If you just line up the rows with trebled puffs and doubles you will be fine. Then you can always see and add or subtract as needed without ripping out. I hope that helps. Probably a missed half double.
Measure how long you want it (from your waist to over your back waist). Now crochet chains to reach the length. Then follow the pattern but use the measurements to determine the #of stitches. Make 2panels and sew or crochet them following Crystal’s directions.
I'm a bit confused. You said after row 11 which is half dc, repeat from row 2 which is dc. However, looking at the panel, you have here, it looks like you went in to puff stitch after your last row of treble and half dc and not dc which is row 2. Please clarify. Thanks
Im attempting to make this but on the last 2 double crochet row in each chain 1 space before the repeat (row 7) , the count is off by 1. It goes from 139 stitches to 140.
250 chains was very long for me. It ended up being 48 inches long. If you want it to adjust it I recommend doing 200 chains first, folding it in half and measuring the length before adjusting to your preference

7: dc
8: puff
9: hdc
10: tc
11:hdc
