      Kundalini Yogini I don’t have what’s app but I vibe with this very well . I wake up very early as well typically 2:00 a.m - 4:00 a.m. I have a good routine and meditate and have several things I do to upgrade my spirituality at that time .     Boy is that ever interesting! Just stumbled onto this video, and had to watch, because I normally - and naturally - wake up, get up around 4:00am. I had been for a long time getting my running workouts in the early mornings as well, (in the dark w/headlamp); but been pushing the running a bit later into morning sunrise though lately.
    The only wrinkle in my schedule because of rising so early, is that I get invitations to perform (I'm a professional musician and run a business) out into the late evenings sometimes, and I cannot accept the offers usually, because I like to curl up into night sleep early.

    This explains a lot. If I get up at 5, I'm very energetic and get a lot done.
    If I sleep late (7 or 8), I am sluggish all day.

    Absolutely fantastic idea! A note on waking up early, if people take care of their bodies and eat the right foods, cutting out meat (which drags the body and brings it down), and take care of physical health, people will find it easier to wake up early and tend to not need as much sleep, and doing these things greatly helps us to listen to our bodies and know what it actually needs

    Perhaps this is a message from the universe to me that I should be waking up earlier because I literally was looking this up the other day. But I am at university and a lot of social things are quite late so I find it hard to wake up early. Hopefully after I graduate I can start doing so. Good luck with your challenge!

    I wake up at4.30am/ 5am. When you go the same time to bed, you wake up at a certain time. I think this is healthy. And I start my Ayurveda morning routine then. Much love. Xx

    obstacles might be: fear patterns which come stronger bc it´s still dark. especially for us who have been through mainstream education system (school) where you only wake up early to receive more or less brainwash. if we would have been trained to get up and be productive while maintaining integrity to ourselves it would be much easier. just saying their might be things coming up that need to be understood and compleeted in order to achieve a long term change of habit.

    Honest question - if it’s 90 minutes before sunrise does that imply the best time to wake up changes seasonally as well? Allowing for more sleep during the winter? I enjoy being up early when that happens or I’m in an environment to support me in that. Despite having good spiritual intentions my self discipline can be a little slack otherwise.

    I work at a nightclub and I often don't get back home until 11:30, and am asleep by midnight. I know that it is healthiest to go to bed before 10, but my work doesn't allow me to do that. Is it still okay for me to wake up at 4:30 given that I go to bed so late?

      Absolutely. Of course you need to be in tune with your body, but I would say try still waking up at 4:30 and then if you need more rest take a few outs after 6:30 to rest again😊

      That is even worse for the body and mind. It throws the system off even further. 10-2 is the time of pitta where one needs to be very active and get the most accomplished in the day along with having the largest meal (lunch) as the digestive fire is strongest then. If you sleep in, it also disturbs the time you fall asleep in the evening which has negative effects on both cortisol levels and weight gain as well as indigestion!
      Take care of yourself love, you deserve it!

      Ayurveda recommend 6-8 hours. Yoga even less :)

    i think this is true in my experience that even im going to be at 2am i still get up at 5 or before by just by body clock i always get up before my alarm clock set off, ill never get up before 7 because the more i sleep the more im getting lazy to get up.

      6-8 hours according to Ayurveda. If you wake at 430 then aim to be in bed by 930 or 1030. But the more spiritual practice you do especially yoga you won’t even need that many hours

    what would you recommend if I get off work at midnight and in bed asleep by 1am in the morning? I use to be able to wake up at 5 am when I worked during the day but now im not sure what time is ideal .

      Obviously that’s a really challenging schedule. It would still be advised to be awake during Brahma Muhurta and then go back to slee after. Hope that helps!

      Ayurveda generally says 6 is best
      Yoga says even less haha. But one should be functioning from high spiritual cognition to be able to get less and still feel high energy

    Thank-you for your lovely videos! This year I have adapted to an Ayurvedic lifestyle more strongly into my day, and I am really trying to get up early, some-days I succeed and some-days I don't! I have severe adrenal fatigue and so I find when I get up early I have this huge energy crash around 2pm and then I can't do the rest of my day, I really don't function well! I'm taking herbs and adjusting my diet to meet Ayurveda principles to try to help with this, but I wonder if I keep trying for waking up early and eventually this will heal my energy system or it's better to try to heal the adrenal fatigue first?

      I guessed as much :) , that it must have been in the early morning. I have found that people who were born in the morning are morning people... and people born in the evening are evening people mostly. Owls and Larks.
      Basically natural body clock - is upto two hours before the time of birth and 8-10 hours post are active times. Babies born at night tend to find it difficult to sleep through nights - it is their active time.

    This sounds great! I wake up around this time, but then go back to sleep after some meditation & breathwork. What time is suggested for going to sleep? Also, do you take a nap during the day?
    I've been extremely tired this month, after starting yoga & focusing on moving energy through my energy centers. I had 2 cycles for the first time ever this month & just feel more tired. My diet is mostly raw. Thanks for sharing this info. Namaste!

      Around 10 pm is best time to go to sleep! I don’t usually nap but if you do make sure it’s only 15-20 min.
      Your diet may be having a significant impact on your energy levels and menstrual cycle. Raw foods can really effect both of those

The only new big practices have been adding daily yoga and kundalini breathing by Dr. Joe Dispenza, that I was guided to start about a month ago. Thank you so much for responding!     Nithyanandam ma, Due to my current schedule the only time I have to sleep is 7am-12pm.

      Really it overall throws off the biological clock and circadian rhythm. Most commonly that can affect digestion and mood. Life happens and sometimes we can’t avoid that kind of schedule. But definitely keep in mind trying to -if ever possible- changing your hours!

    Would someone be able to help me here with timings ? Since the winter solstice has now hit, the sunrise is not until 8 for me. Is it still advisable to wake up before six ? Or would a later rising time be okay ? Would 7 still feed into a kasha time period ? Thankyou! X

      It is based off sunrise. count back 96 minutes from sunrise and make sure you are up during that whole time :)

    But people don't know how to exactly calculate it. You need first to have data about sunrise at a sea level altitude. I use free astronomy software Stellarium for that. Than you substract 1 h 36 min from that, and you will get time of Brahma muhurta for current day. It last for 48 minutes. There are 30 different muhurtas during the day. There is second best muhurta also known as Jiva muhurta. It starts I believe 144 minutes before Brahma muhurta.

      Changes according to sunrise yes :) 90 minutes back from sunrise.
      But it helps to set a time of course to get into the habit and routine for your body!
