So fun to see those slides and carves! Killing it with that setup. Thanks for the love and for some really good insights-we're taking some notes for the future. Yes the battery is quite secure in order to stay put while riding, but we know what you mean when it's time to take it off. We've found that the easiest way to remove the battery is to get a bit more leverage. Try standing the deck up against your leg/hip-wheels out and front truck on top-then remove the battery by pulling up. We'll throw this tip in the user guide (which we also appreciate the shoutout for). Also: Though it might look a little strange, we actually have seen riders attach the rear-truck surfskate adapter too if you ever wanted to try giving it a spin. The OneWheel GT just came out at $2200 with 32 mile range. I feel like the Revel Kit being $750 at 6-10 mile range is the biggest rip off in all of board sports.

Out of all the setups I’ve owned the revel setup isn’t the most powerful but it definitely was one of the most fun setups. I’d be switching wheels and decks every month and felt like I had a completely new esk8 board. I did eventually sell it for a more powerful, longer range setup but would definitely still pick up a revel kit if I came across a deal.
This is a great kit. The remote is so smooth in regard to acceleration and braking. It's super quiet too. It's nice you dont have to drill holes to attach but one con you missed is that you can't do drop down/thru decks as I like to be lower to the ground but with bigger wheels (say 97). I have this kit on a Loaded Poke and Loaded Vanguard with ABEC11 Refly 97's and Cloudwheel 105's. I also made a folding board with a BoardUp hinge for travel. I would like to see a drop through version (to get lower to the ground), some added sleekness to the kit (wider or maybe longer battery so not so thick aka close to ground), a smaller remote but possibly same slider and smoothness - dont wanna mess that up (although this one works great with the stick on Shredlight adapter to have a night flashlight) and finally a "kiddy" speed mode to keep say level 1 at 5mph max. Level one still gets you to like 14 I think and that's too fast for a beginner. I dont ride mine much compared to my son so I am hoping longevity wise it will be good but havent had a single problem with mine for 2 years
finally you released the video i remember recommending this to you on ig and yt. good video btw. If anyone here has some questions about the revel kit i can probably awnser it i've had it for some time and tried it with a lot off setups.
Hey how much is this and what it fit on a Arbor Zeppelin because I'm really wanting to try to turn my Zeppelin flagship series into any board. Also I want to mention that I am 6'4 210 lb Will this thing be strong enough?
@@tjbynum7775 the price depends where your from im from the Netherlands and I bought it out of Germany and I payed 750 for one kit with two extended range batteries I could pay it off my fathers company so I didn’t need to pay taxes but Idk how much it’s for you you can find the prices on the American or German side so it depends where your from. And it fits on any deck with the standard 8 bolt holes for the trucks and its powerful enough I think with just normal 90mm wheels it can accelerate really fast for me atleast I’m 150lbs but you should go for an extended range battery and maybe 2 if you want more range you can also go for 2 kits than your getting double the power and that’s definitely more than enough to go really fast.
Thanks for including the Surf Adapter and so stoked that you liked it! It does look like the Unlimited E board kit will work with a Rail Adapter. At $1,200 it’s hard not to just buy a complete though.
@@concrete-waves can't you just use some risers on the bottom of the rail adapter to give you a flat space to work with, I just bought a waterborne kit and I know slaping a revel kit on it would littleraly kill.
I have both the Revel kit and the unlimited race kit and my favorite is the Revel kit which is on the loaded Vanguard with 97mm ABEC 11 wheels which makes for a great and smooth ride. The unlimited race kit is great and you can use any truck, I have Paris v3's on an Icarus desk, the 2 hub motors are powerful, there are really only two limitations... First you can only use Caguama's which are great wheels but I miss the versatility of the direct drive where any wheel can be used and hub sleeves dont provide a lot of urethane to cushion poor road surfaces. Second its not as easy to extend the range on the unlimited kit by simply swapping out a battery as you would need to swap both at the same time which is quite expensive at $500). I am interested to see your review of the unlimited kit and how you would fit the surf adapter under the back truck, the battery plate would need to go on first followed by the adapter and then the truck so curious how that setup works for you. Great videos by the way!
Sweet, thanks for sharing all this info Jeremy - really appreciate it. I'm gonna try my revel kit with one of my flex Loaded boards... probably the Poke. The Vanguard with 97mm ABEC 11 sounds like a great combo. I agree - I love the ability to swap out wheels and that extra urethane is so noticeable when going over bumps/cracks. I have no idea if the rail adapter is possible with the unlimited kit, but I'm gonna try haha
Awesome video, If you’re not satisfied with the carving of this setup I would recommend trying some diy electric skateboard stuff (caliber ii trucks w/ motor mounts etc), I’m currently building an electric surf skate like this and the diy route allows me to run a waterborne rail adapter in the back, as well as customize the trucks however you like (44 or 50 degree baseplate for example) while still having lots of wheel choices and no motor clearance issues
That's great to know, although how tricky would that be to build? I'd love to see your setup... if you have an Instagram, DM @shrdshack some photos. Thanks for sharing the info Brandon!

Even I still struggle with my battery sometimes, even after almost a year of owning a Revel. I wouldn't get my hopes up for any updates to the design though. They seem pretty adamant about not making any changes any time soon.
interesting, really? Yeah, I just wish it was a smoother process of taking the battery off
Mine get stuck all the time and I practically end up hurting my hands due to the amount of work required to get them off... I guess it beats having a battery come off or disconnect while you are on the board.
@@jer0006 This thing is a rip off ---- $750 for 6-10 miles? I'll wait until they upgrade the battery for minimum 15 miles
@@StreetMonsterInnerCircles they have the battery. it is $20 more. $669 delivered when on sale. It's the best value if you're counting all the features and smoothness. Needs a few minor updates.
Great review
Appreciate that Adish! Thanks man
wish it could have had a better battery setup, like at least a 12s4p so you could get some more speed out of the kit because there are alternative complete kit skateboards that can go way faster and further, for example, verreal ttrs
What's the weight of the kit?
Wow, I can't' believe I missed this spec. Oops, sorry. The kit with the battery and no wheels is about 10lbs. The battery is about 2.8lbs
@@concrete-waves thanks that has been weighing on my mind for a long time.
I can see in the background he bought the landyachtz ripper and dipper. I hope there is a review comming up for them
LY actually sent us those so we could do a comparison between them. Video coming soon
Awesome, i was hoping for a landyachtz video. I realy like that brand. The two boards are so simmilar, i didnt know wich one to chose. I was hoping for a comparison video
🔥🔥
Thanks for the support Rajesh!
@shredshack nice review! the Revel Kit is awesome for sure, but for an electric surfskate the Loaded Unlimited Solo is the way to go IMO, is the nearest thing you will find to a normal non electric surfskate… but electric, lightwheight and you have the unlimited mode also. You should try that next. Regards!
Thanks Maven. That's definitely my next electric kit. Stoked to try it!
Are daily uploads coming back👀👀
I'd love to get back on a weekly schedule. It's just tough because I don't want to rush out review content, ya know? Especially with electric boards that involve more riding
@@concrete-waves Quality over quantity is the vibe I'm guessing.
@@icantsee0 yup, pretty much. It's allowed me to learn a lot more too. So always trying to learn and up the quality, video by video
@@concrete-waves I'm pretty sure I'm speaking of all of us here but, no matter how long you guys take getting a video is a reward in of itself.
amazing
thanks, i really appreciate that
@@concrete-waves yeah im that guy you spoke to yesterday hahah
I dont think ive ever heard of a Eboard remote not being usb c
Ya I hear ya. To be fair though, it was made a while ago
Nice
prices are unreasonable
Absolutely want one for my cruiser /surfskate but for 700$…..
Might be better off with a electric skateboard 😂
Caguamas
Love the Caguamas too. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment!
No . it's not you. The battery is a pain to remove but I just like this kit cuz I can change decks for a different feel in my ride.
Gotcha. Yeah I agree... the versatility of being able to swap between boards is sooo nice. What setup is your favorite?
@@concrete-waves I have mine on a 42" longboard by Flippin Board Co, and MBS 110mm 78A wheels.
So gassed to see this video. I almost always have to stick the nose of my board to the ground so I can use gravity to get my board out. I have broken almost every component of my board and the customer service has been great
ayyy thanks man appreciate you watching and sharing your experience
🍞
appreciate you showing up and dropping a comment. thanks yo
