The geometry of RKP (Reverse Kingpin) trucks allows for the rider to put all of their weight on the front of the board for the best balance. IDK if that was the intention when Gullwing made them in the 70s (yes, they're that old) but they are the ideal truck design for downhill stability (high speeds). Double Kingpin trucks, like Gullwing Sidewinders and those from 1st party pre-built e-board manufacturers, are simply TKP (Traditional) trucks, which can be thought of as similar to RKP trucks with very low angles. If you are familiar with downhill/LDP (long distance pump/push) and angle splitting, then you know that a low degree truck goes in the back for stability (trailing rear design), so you can kind of think of having those on both ends. The turn of TKP is progressive, meaning it leans more at first, then turns, this makes them great for downhill, actually, and you get more wheelbase, this can also help with stability(and hurt mobility further), you do need to take special care of your PIVOT CUPS. In a TKP design, the brunt of the forces acted on the truck will be put directly on the kingpin, casing potential bends and/or snaps, and stability loss short term, installing a high quality, 95a+ hardness Urethane pivot cup REGULARLY (once a year) will help keep your OG trucks bombing well. RKP trucks have a more even distribution of forces, due to their design, but taking care of your trucks will obviously help them out. DKP trucks have: more lean AND more turn than their TKP counterparts, in exchange for increased ride height and reduced* stability (increased ride height = increased leverage as well) V1 Sidewinders did NOT have 3rd party support; no companies aftermarket pivots fit, meaning the worst flaw of the trucks was exacerbated 2x. Make sure you can replace the pivots in your DKP trucks, either by forums for DIY, or by emailing Support for pre-builts, before you buy if possible.

Another great video, man. Thanks so much for putting out this great content consistently. Wish I could afford one of those Revel Kits one day... they look pretty slick!
I've been wanting to do a AWD setup with purple SR Foamies for a while and this is inspirational to make it finally. The Revel kits are awesome but the killer for me is it can only fit flat decks, so I'm definitely going DIY, with a twist: My friend is machining up two sets of tandem wheel adapters for me. These are going to be longer than the adapters available as well as ride on bearings, and the rear mounts will fit hub drives. So I'll be running eight wheels; one Foamie and one hub drive at at each wheel. I'll do the Foamies on all first wheels as the extra diameter creates some angle on the adapter that allows the wheels to lift over over road obstacles easily. It'll be a monster for eating up Seattle's rough roads and steep hills.
Revel Kit is not limited to flat decks. Lots of examples on this esk8 news thread. Also lots of 4WD examples. One 8 wheeled example. forum.esk8.news/t/revel-at-the-brand-new-competitor-in-the-direct-drive-esk8-race/1374/499

How does the acceleration compare to other AWD boards like the Meepo AWD Pro?
nice board.
I subscribed and liked this video. It makes me wish I had a elelctric longboard but my funds are too low. Even a few $100 is out of my budget but watching your video here made me feel like I was riding. Great video quality and footage.
300 is the very cheapest you can get. Sadly.
Thats sick. Does it extend the range and up the sweet since you have 4 motors?
No
It actually lessens it
More motors
More power
Less battery life
how big should wheels be for carving?
Could I use the Revel kit with my Waterborne Surf adapter?
Great board, is there a kit like this with a little more suspension than just the flex of the board and the fomies?

Will foaming fit on exway flex?
That will require some test fitting..
Confirmed, the do. If they fit on my Riot , they definitely fit on the new flex with even bigger clearance
Do you have any electric long boards that are fast but really cheap I have a budget of $300
