    Tim, thanks for taking the time to off your experience. It amazes me the lengths some will go to to put someone down, when they are taking their time to help. It’s almost like the ones with negative comments are having to use Folgers, just because they watched your video. Thanks again! My wife really likes Folgers, black silk. Looks like I’ll be trying your technique. Keep up the good work, haters are gonna hate.

    Appears to be a decent alternative, but that's a lot of time and work just to not spend 80¢-$1 for Coffee. If you go to your average DD or Starbucks, you're spending $3-$4 for a cup of coffee. I guess if you have the patience and time. $1 for a cup of coffee is not a big deal. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    It is not necessary to depress the foil on the inside edge with your fingernail. In fact, too often the foil will move or tear. It works just fine without that step. You just need the foil to stick to the outer edge of the pod. You also don't need scissors because you don't need to trim the foil. Fold the foil (starting at 4 opposite sides to hold the foil in place) and where it hides too much of the bar code just push it back to the edge with a fingernail. It doesn't matter if there is smashed foil on the edge. Piece of cake.

      That kickstarter is dead, but the did do a nice tool to quickly seal the foil. Another tool is needed to remove the old foil and coffee. That takes me 30-60 seconds, not including cleaning.

      @@bakerman6772 I make about 10-12 refills pods in 10 minutes in a batch after I clean them out - having to do one at a time seems to defeat the purpose of a pod system. I can make single cups other ways using a single cup strainer, french press, etc. All are ok, but when you want it fast, you need a pod ready and waiting. That think also appears pretty heavy - might affect the life of the spin motors in the machine.

    I just bought MyCaps which work, but the bar codes on the pods are different to match different coffee. How do you match the coffee to match the bar codes?

    • @lauraking422
      @lauraking422 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bar codes are only for the amount of water. Save your pods for the size you want

    Take a used pod, cut the barcode and use it like a rim over the covered barcode. No trimming no barcode malfunction

    Ink on the foil will get into the coffee. But it can only help the taste because it's Folger's.

      That is a taste thing. French Press is French Press. Espresso is Espresso. Pods are Pods. Pour over is pour over.
      All can be good or bad but each has a different taste. To say one is better is only you and your taste. I love espresso. But I have had bad shots. I no so much like French Press but have had great FP. I have not switched to FP because I had bad espresso. Taste is individual. What YOU like. That is it.
