I think that's where I focus too designer and vintage mostly. And glad to hear I'm not alone in chasing certain styles:) and thank you I'm so happy you like my rambling videos!
I prefer rose as a blended note and dessert roses are challenging for me. That said, I wore Lyric Woman yesterday and enjoyed it tremendously. Such a complex beauty. Great review Wendy! I always look forward to your content.
What a great video. Rose is my favorite floral note. Valentino Donna (orig. form.) is my favorite. I also have Michael Kors Starlight Shimmer... really nice as well. I picked up a Clinique Aromatics in White based on a video review, but sadly it wasn't any good. But, the Ungaro Diva has piqued my interest. I'm sure I would really like that.
i collect rose fragrances too. My purchases this year: Mancera Roses Vanille, Elie Saab No. 1 Rose, Nina Ricci: Rose l’Extace Absolute, Rose Extace EDT & EDP, Love Chopard, NR Musc Noir Rose, L’Occitane Rose Poire, PDM Delina, Jo Malone Rose Water & Vanilla. Next purchase may be Atomic Rose, or Mancera Roses Greedy - but I want to smell them first. Gotta love those roses! I’m looking for the true rose fragrance that is fresh and spicy. Elie Saab No. 1 Rose is very close and my all time favourite.
I generally don’t like sweet fragrances, but I love Amouage Lyric. Don’t own a bottle but I’ve had a few sample vials. Something about this scent gives me a high. Just the other night I was sniffing an empty vial, but alas, hardly any scent remains. Have you tried Ormonde Jayne Taif? It wasn’t quite my thing but a lot of people love this one. Maybe I need to try it again.
I adore Lyric, I feel like nothing compares to this scent! You know I have a sample set of OJ and I was a bit let down by them. BUT it saves my pocketbook so that's a plus!
Rose is my favourite note too; on my birthday and Xmas I lash out and buy a special rose perfume; my favourite is Harem Rose by an Australian company called Forte and Manle and I love Rose of No Man’s Land by Byredo. I spritz Tea Rose around my bedroom and on hot days Paul Smith’s Rose is lovely.
I know you said you’re trying to shop your closet, but if you get a chance to smell Jardins de misfah by une nuit nomade do so. It’s a rose and date concoction. It is a bit on the sweet side, but I don’t know most of the others you mentioned to understand where you land on the sweet spectrum. Actually, I’d be willing to send a decant ur way if interested.
I adore all your videos 🤗💕🙏
Great picks and video
Thank you!
I have that same compulsion, and it's terrible, and you are right, and I also need to stop!
I so agree.... I have done it with roses.... Vanilla... Oud.... Citrus ☺️ but in a budget... I love designer and vintage 😊

Thanks Wendi!
Thank you Jenn!

Thank you you are so nice! Honestly I've worn Lyric for years and I think it is very special! Just the way it wears and smells in the air too.

Also, I do like seeing the boxes.
Honestly the seashell bottle is still a very beautiful rose honey musk and super affordable. And thanks for the input on the boxes:)

@@wendisparadeofperfumes5034 I tried a whole bunch of OJ and also felt a bit let down. The only one I love is Ormonde Woman.

I'm going to have to try to hunt down the Fort & Mantle I've heard so much about it it sounds amazing!
