In case no one else has said it, or said it lately, I love your videos and I find you extremely relatable. I too bought way more than intended--my Middle Eastern collection exploded this year. And it seems like everything on my decades long wishlist went on sale this year. I picked up some Villoresi (and Oriza Legrand) at fantastic prices.
Thank you so much Elsie I appreciate that! I do try to be myself I have nothing to lose😊 Admittedly it feels nice when you can fulfill your wish list, prices can be so crazy as it is!
I did very well this year considering how often I'm online shopping for perfume. I only bought 2 full size and 3 travels. (was also gifted a full size) Seems I'm "shopping" at least a couple times a week but then have to repeatedly tell myself "You have enough perfume". Really thinking my next purchase needs to be vintage, just can't decide which one. (one of your videos will probably help me decide) 😀
I need to repeat that . . ... I have enough I have enough!!! I need to get to that space that you are in😊 I'm glad I picked up my vintages though they are a dwindling resource for sure.
I've just gotten into this hobby within the last 2½ to 3 years, and I have at least 100 to 150 bottles now. I am a totally shameless blind buyer, too. I rely on a lot reviews simply because I don't want to spend hours and hours in the stores! And I can say that I've been mostly happy with my purchases. My perfume goals for 2024 are to have monthly perfume trays so that I can really "wear" my fragrances. Also, I'd like to make one splurge perfume per month. And for me, a splurge is anything over a hundred dollars. Tfs, I enjoyed seeing part of your haul!
I am a shameful/shameless bling buyer but so far it works for me! For the most part. I read the reviews and all that good stuff and I do all right. It's addictive though and I should get a better handle on it. The perfume trays are such a great way to really shop/wear your collection and get to know them.
Ah, monthly perfume trays sounds like a great idea!! I'm going to give that a shot as well. I got into this hobby recently as well (around the beginning of Covid), and have picked up about 250 bottles so far 😳😳
Good evening Wendi. I absolutely loved your first part of your 2023 (an bit of 2022) haul video. I personally do not like Nasomatto bottles at all. I think I find the styles of tops and also the proportion of top to bottle 'offensive' in some way. I very much like the way you describe the fragrances and also give a little background as to why you decided to purchase them. Perhaps next year you could dedicate some time, or structure your week so you are testing a new purchase each week. OK, the structure may take some of the romanticism and spontaneity out of it but at least you will certainly sample what you have purchased. Of course that is clearly not enough time to get to know a fragrance but it is a start. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to the next installments of your haul series. You have made my Christmas period. :0)
You’re an entire level of blind buyer higher than I am. I’m pretty sure I have at least smelled every bottle that I have blind bought. Hahah. Love the title of the video. I truly have no idea how many bottles I have bought this past year or how many are in my closet. Is it 350? Is it 500? Higher? Who the hell knows. While I am anti authoritarian and anti rule-follower (particular those I impose upon myself), I think I’m getting on team ro-lier too. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into ro-liar. This deserves a full video response.
I admit I'm the worst and entirely out of hand. I am a blind buying nutcase. I don't think I'll ever count anything either or keep track. I'm so past that time. A ro-liar like a rule that we're really going to do this year? We should talk about this.
Hey, thanks for being so accountable :) I really enjoyed the video. I picked up 150 bottles too :| about 75 of them vintage. Like you said, vintages are going away quick, so had to stock up! I have some similar purchases as yours - D&G red cap, Versace Blonde, Kamasurabhi - first two are still sealed in box, but I've smelt them before via samples and love them. Like you, perfume is the only luxury I spend on, so I try to justify myself that way :/ Hoping to spend 2024 unboxing a lot of them, and just enjoying them, and not purchasing a whole lot🤞🏼🤞🏼Hope you're keeping well, wishing you a very happy new year! 🤗🤗
Thank you and Happy New Year! I'm really trying to shift and look to what I have instead of looking for the next thing. We both have plenty to keep occupied 😊
New subscriber unlocked! I just stumbled over to your channel via Kelly Lyon's page. I am OBSESSED by Versace's Blonde - recently bought a backup AND made a video on it. 🤣 Looking forward to following your perfume journey!!
I don't know if you're aware but red cap has a new formulation, since the Shiseido made in France version. It has returned to being produced in Italy under D&G (not Euroitalia as far as I know). I bought a bottle of the new formulation in Marbella, Spain. I think it's an improvement at least on the previous formulation but can't compare to vintage. I found it warmer than the French version, more prominent orange blossom rather than lily of the valley. Still aldehydic but not as sharp.
@@wendisparadeofperfumes5034 Hi Wendi. Its similar in projection and longevity to the new or reformulated infusion de iris. I know you featured the original on one of your vids. My climate is mostly hot so its refreshing in a unique way. A bit unisex. Looking forward to part 2. Christmas Greetings from Trinidad.
Hey Wendi! Love seeing all your perfumes. I have zero judgement about collecting something that brings you joy or as sense of peace. I wanted to buy at least 12 fragrances half an hour ago 😂, it’s a daily struggle I tell ya 😂. All jokes aside, I have a modest collection of 70 bottles which I’ve collected over the past 3 years and I’m happy to have more when I’m able to get more into my collection. Have a wonderful holiday season and merry Christmas 🎄 🎉❤
Hi Wendi! I went on a sample craze this year but luckily I have so many friends in this community I hardly bought any! I just swapped and swapped… Anyway, I just want to smell everything. That’s my problem. It’s a cheaper problem so I’m good with it. 😂 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on those Sonoma frags. Get on camera and open those boxes girl! Tell us all about them! ❤
happy holidays Wendy, thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinion to these fragrance wonders... viewing from the philippine islands... by the way, i care for you about your compulsive buying of this lovely parfum, i think if i were you i will just think the moment your compulsiveness attacks again "perfume looses its prime quality as years goes by , 10 years max for quality assurance and a 100ml bottle perfume can last up to a year or two when used everyday, holding on to many parfume is just futile...
@@wendisparadeofperfumes5034 true you are helping others to decide on their purchase by reviewing these parfums... but it also takes a toll on you... and as a parfum lover, we dont want those lovely parfum lose its wonder inside a bottle...
I love your videos Wendy and am highly interested and entertained by your content. I like the fact that you are your authentic self in your videos. I think I bought five new bottles this year of which one was a mistake. My theory is that I will only splurge on perfumes that I absolutely love rather than buying a bunch that I merely like. So far I picked up No 1 and Opardu by Puredistance. Both are Ioves. Also, Eccentric Molecule 01 + Iris; Another love. I just bought Soleil Blanc as a Christmas present to self. I also bought Athalia by PdM which was probably due to bottle lust more than the scent itself. I dread trying to resell perfumes. It’s a losing proposition and a bit of work. I’m looking forward to your next haul vidieo. Happy Holidays!
Thank you Petunia. Soliel Blanc must be gorgeous are you loving it? I would love to reach a zenith of only buying a few true loves a year. Hopefully I'll rewire this year. Happy Christmas and Holidays to you too!
I am envious of your red cap, Amouage Epic (I’ve tried the older version of the extrait), and SSS fragrances! In case you don’t post again in the next couple of days, Merry Christmas! ❤
I hate the haul / decluttering vids, especially every two months. It seems gimmicky to me, so I very rarely watch anymore. Just my personal opinions. But this year end haul or mid year is great, its realistic.
How crazy 3 of your perfumes have been on my mind lately. I was exploring similar scents to Kiehls Musk and Valentino Musc Essence came up as a similar kind of scent. Although I feel like the Musc Essence lacks the animalic quality. Do you feel like the fruity notes in Rochas Femme is on the tangy, succulent side like in Diorella? It’s been compared to that one so I have to ask. Amarige I had heard is a green floral which appeals to me. Do you agree? Or is it more intoxicating and fussy in that white floral way? Just give me roses is a good basic Oud+ rose imo, but based on the fragrantica reviews there’s a lot of haters for some reason. I thought it smelled so expensive and good at Nordstroms when I first tried it. Looking forward to part 2!
I’m glad you’re exploring Lorenzo Villoresi. There’s several I want to check into like his Colonia. I’d be so curious to know what your thoughts are on his Aura Maris. For me, it exists in the realm of Paris-Deauville. No prominent basil or patchouli, it’s just the vibe. I was also interested in Dilmun but someone on frageantica said it was very gourmand, which turned me off.
I really think that Amarige is a fussy white floral with a bit of LOTV which can feel "green" but no it isn't a green floral at all like Jean Louis Scherrer or something. If you want an expansive floral Amariage is it.
In case no one else has said it, or said it lately, I love your videos and I find you extremely relatable.

Oh that is good to know. The was such a tragic reformulation for so many people!
I like vetiver. I got a vetiver grass plant today. Will be planting it early next year. I have Prada infusion de vetiver love it.
I love vetiver. So rich and earthy. I think I've tried the Prada is it a bit light?
