Lettie, do you plan on living in the Shack year round or just when you have renters staying at the big cabin? Will the shack be insulated? You mentioned hanging coats right on the boards so I’m guessing no insulation. The roof is lovely! Will it keep out the rain? How strong is it if a branch blows onto it?
@@louanneschrenk4084 I don’t know what I’m doing, Lou 🙈 I don’t “want” to rent Poet’s Cabin out, just Paperback Shack cabin but I don’t even know about that 😝 if forced (bout another year & I got to come up with some income and I will have to rent one!) For now, just playing in the woods. Thanks for roof love, I love it toooo! As for sturdiness, I think it’ll be fine. There’s ONE big limb (healthy for now) that I’m sure would do damage if it fell, no matter what roof I have. By doing the galvanized metal every other one, hopefully it’s a deterrent 🤷🏼♀️ but it’s so dramatic, it’s worth the gamble 🙈. As for rain, it definitely will keep out rain and wind. I don’t think I’m cool enuf to live all year round. Can’t imagine dead of winter 🥶 and having to wash my dreadlocks 🤣 🤷🏼♀️ For now, I’m not insulating (even tho Home Depo just dropped off (BY ACCIDENT CUZ I DIDNT ORDER IT 🙄) enuf sheet rock to do 1/2 the cabin Maybe that’s a sign, 🪧 although I don’t really want drywall in this cabin. So yah, I’m all over the place 🤷🏼♀️ SO, business as usual over here 🤣.
