Elite Dangerous - High Grade Emissions Respawn Trick

- Guide on how to respawn High Grade Emissions signal sources using the relog trick. This allows you to continually farm the same signal source for speedy material gathering. Follow up to my Manufactured Material Farming guide.
**Please note that fdev have confirmed this is not an exploit. However I wouldn't be suprised if it gets patched out at some stage.
I was not aware of this trick when i first published my guide. Credit to CMDR Exegious for educating me on this!

You should probably be subbed to hawkes gaming. This video, lacking voice with a euro-house beat, really low quality...
works in odyssey, what is in the source changes first time in, 4 proprietary composites and 1 core dynamic, 2nd time 1 proprietary and 3 core, 3rd time 2 proprietary and 2 core
funny part is that doesn't count as game exploiting since Fdev said it was "intended"

The Asp Scout is the best ship in the game for this. Manuverability in supercruise is unmatched for a ship that can carry limpets and limpet controllers, so you're in and out again faster than with any other ship.
You can successfully go from zero to full even with HGE's that don't have a lot of time left because it's so much faster than other ships (even the awesome Python).
i can't get this to work when i log off and log back on the info i gain from the nav beacon disapears it doesn't even show it as a unidentified signal source

Don't know if this is just older footage. But I can confirm that on Xbox this method has been patched. Even dashboarding directly from In-game will result in the HGE vanishing

Dash boarding on Xbox is still working as of now, Occasionally it will disappear but most of the time dashboarding still works
I truly appreciate the great information! The only thing I would like to suggest is that you start narrating your videos. It is so much better than reading. If you aren't comfortable with your voice on a video or are unable to speak you can easily get someone else to narrate them for you. I drive for a living and rarely have the ability to sit and read a video and I know I'm not alone that I tend to multitask when watching videos and so I really need videos I can listen to as well as watch from time to time. Thanks for putting this together and keep up the great work!

This trick seems to work for different signal sources aswell. This makes pirate massacre missions faster than farming in a haz res as you can just jump in and out of a pirate signal source full of mission related npcs constantly. Or if you want to do it in a system without rings.

Can confirm it still works on Xbox. Make sure you quit the game with the Xbox Guide button, press start on ED and quit, relog and repeat

On the PS4, it works like 4 out of 8 times. I have to keep force closing the game until an HGE shows up. I try to hit Indie Outbreaks and move on if it becomes an utter bust

Confirmed this method still works as of 05-03-20 on Xbox.
How to you log out? Quit the whole game from the Xbox button?

Yeah i did slightly overlook that, so I've been keen for feedback from console players. So far I've had confirmation it can work on PS4. Would be good if someone could reply if they get it to work on Xbox! :)

has anyone tried returning to the same system to see if it drops the same mat again?
After scanning the nav beacon never HGE's appear for me. Don't know if i missed something important to do. Any ideas ? I choose a war/civil war system for Military Supercapacitors, drop to nav beacon, scan it, drop back in supercruise and no HGE's show up in the left panel.
Nevermind, this time it worked. I was looking for a different system with more population. It has to be a couple of millions.
Yeah they arent guaranteed to spawn. Bigger populations do help. My previous video on manufactured material farming explained this a bit.
I'll have to try this, it could save a lot of grind.
And +1 for using a real ship and not some garbage like the Krait or Asp.

Hi, I don't have an xbox myself, but other people have confirmed in the comments here that yes it does work.
Works on PS4. Close app after collecting the materials.

What do you do when the site expires? Can you generate a new one? I got to a system and there was a minute left, now there are none.
Yeah you just need to find a new one that has spawned. Jump around a few systems and you should see some.

I'm on PC so I can't be sure, but previous comments from xbox users have said it does.
Just checked the previous comments and I found this post which may help you: Press guide button, then start on Elite, then quit the game out and re-launch
what do you do when there are no hge's that spawn?
Jump around a few systems, preferably higher population. They will spawn eventually :)

@@campbecd Certainly still works as of five minutes ago. Perhaps your 'node' expired? Find another and give it a go - remember don't leave the USS, just log straight to desktop.
@@dallassukerkin6878 hmm, I just quit to main menu... could it be because I'm using VR? If I quit to desktop, I have to shut it all down and go back in through steam. The last one I tried had 31 minutes left when I got there. I'll try again for funsies.
Why wouldn’t we just hit Davs hope and just trade for what we need?
This method is more efficient and you get G5s. Davs Hope mostly has lower grade materials meaning it would take far longer to get enough to trade up.

Frontier are already aware. And yes its likely to get patched, but i though I might as well try to make a few more commanders aware of it before it does :)
Not an exploit .. yea BS this is like a textbook example of an exploit.

the trick worked at some point. But to after exhausting the last hge, to find the next hge was terrible. I believe that frontier has unofficially bugged the hge to prevent players from fully utilizing this trick. What they did is make high grade emission respawn rate rather crap. Frontier has yet to announce anything about nerfing it but they have secretly place a soft ban on this.
