@@AVoxintheVoid my brother of the emperor whenever you have part 2 may tell another story about what happens to the traitor and the evil librarian my brother
I love noble chaos space marines the dichotomy of a chaos warped monstrous man yet still holding onto the last slivers of their humanity is such an interesting idea. An I love how you brought the character life
The night lords have always never really been chaos warped….. Its why they are one of the few traitor legions who still actively recruit aspirants through trials, since they can still use their regularly untainted gene-seed to create more nightlords, on account of them not spending all their time within the eye.
This is what made Ahriman, Kharn, Sevatar, etc. interesting in the Horus Heresy series. Really it's what makes any villain compelling. A bad guy who does bad stuff because it's bad is a pretty boring story.
When I saw the word preysight, I knew it was a nightlord's story. ;3 We are the lords of night. Ashes of nostromo. Fear is meat, terror is wine. Ave Dominus Nox.
When I worked thirds, I used to leave Ave Dominus Nox on whiteboards all over the building. But no one ever knew who did it because I would wait until a bunch of people were there so no one would guess it was me. 🤣🤣
The 8th Legion, the Night Lords, by far one of my favorite traitor legions. They have a very tragic and dark story, their own father hated them because of the criminals that filled their ranks from Nostramo. Then they watched as their fleet destroyed their own home, then they had to stand back and let their father be murdered. Because, 'Death is nothing compared to vindication'. Despite all of that, they only use chaos as a tool for the most part, same as the Iron Warriors. I would consider them and the Iron Warriors more in the realm of renegades, but that’s just my opinion.
I know what your mean. Due to the machinations of the warp, the night lords were doomed from the start. Of all the traitor legions, those two seem to be the most "willing" to ditch chaos. Except its their only option at this point, since no matter which side they pick, damnation is the only reward.
Once more my friend you have outdone yourself with this great narration of the Night Lords, and no doubt that you bleed the Hatred, Fear, and the Hunger the Night Lord inflicted onto this world. Congratulations on this Great Narration Vox, and continue your passionate work.
The inner struggle of night lords trying to pretend like their loyalist while still being crazy chaos boys while hating chaos is interesting... Wonder if theirs any loyal night lords
The Night Lords are one of my favorite Legions and now I cannot wait to listen to part 2. Bravo to everyone who took part in this beauty and cannot wait to enjoy more of your fine work.
Got back from a truly exhausting work shift to find this waiting for me...and holy shit did it deliver. This is probably (or is going to be) the best CSM story on this channel. The story, the voice-acting (especially the sorcerer's telepathy) and the music were all totally on point. Part 2 cannot come soon enough. This channel is so freaking awesome; thanks for all the hard work you put into these narrations - you are a true professional (and Tod is one hell of a writer) and 40K is all the better for it. Ave Dominus Nox!
I think you're right about it being hard to top. Everything clicked for me during the narration and editing process. Tod is so unbelievably talented when it comes to character driven tales of super human demi god's. I'm really glad you enjoyed it my friend. Here's to the next part!

Another great video, I look forward to part 2. Loved how the story showed the themes of backstabbing, infighting and betrayal so common among warbands in comparison to the structured brotherhood of loyalist chapters. Also how the Night Lords defy Chaos thanks to Conrad Curze, and how chaotic corruption can still worm its way in regardless. Also liked the details like talking about power armor, would make sense that a Night Lord champion would have access to ancient Mark 4 power armor, and the echo effect on the Chaos sourcers voice was also a nice touch. Thank you for another great video.

I saw A Vox in the Void at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
