On that Charger, the battery on that fob is low. Dont even have to replace the battery, just press the fob into the start button and it should start. Atleast thats how it is on my '12 RT

It still works perfectly, I just added a more up to date deck, and kept it. Every now and then it's nice to just pull it out, and think back to a simpler time, etc. Car was my first big accomplishment so I won't ever sell it. It's a reminder that hard work pays off

Those older ford escapes are pretty reliable. I had an 02 with 180k miles on it and it ran really well. The v6 and the 4 cyl were both pretty good engines.
Randy, sometimes when key fob batteries are dead you have to take the top of the key fob and physically press the start button with the end of the key fob while pressing the brake. Not sure about Dodge specifically, but you might want to try this on some cars at copart that have smart keys.

Not sure about the AFS, but with the Chrysler products, in some cases you have to tap the key against the push start button & it will turn on. Stupid yes, but it’ll work every time.
I have that same Charger. You have to actually press the start/stop button with the end of the remote. My battery died in the remote while I was out and about. Had to call the dealer. 👍🏼🙃

And it also said no key detected either but the mechanic we took it to to have it looked at mostly cause the check engine light was on but the battery was dead. It started right up after a jump start. But of course the dealership denied the fact that the battery was bad

The Dodge Charger should have a little picture of a key somewhere close to where the push button is in the plastic. Just hold the key directly to that.
On the dodge just take the key and push the whole key aginst the start button the key fob is dead and the only way to start it is to put the entire key fob up the the button and push it in and it should start

Dodge key fob: Either fob battery is dead or someone removed it because they want the car for themselves. Use your fingernail to carefully pry and remove the start button cover off from the "push to start" button, insert fob and turn it like a key. Lexus AFS of Active Front Lighting button at 23:10 click it to turn off that light on dash, should fix it. Else the adaptive headlights need adjusting/fixing/replacement.
If you treat a Chrysler right, they last a LONG time. I had a 2005 that I got into an accident with (dented hood, cracked bumper, headlight tab broken) at around 40 miles per hour, and that thing ran like a top. At that point, it had around 160,000.

The escape probably sidewiped something lol, cause I got a 07 Montana that I picked up from an accident and it sidewiped an empty logging truck and it had similar damage as the escape but it was a bit worse
If its that cold there how did the A/C come on, here in Ga if it's below 60 the compressor wont come on and when did car heaters start blowing warm soon as you start the car, none I ever owned lol

that battery looks like it was chaging and the fumes exploded.. I did that to a battery ones.. was charging it and pulled off the charger and it sparked and lit the hydrogen off gas .. boom battery split wide open like that and acid all over, ruined my jacket acid on it etc..

AFS is Adaptive Front Lighting System. The lights are HID and the move in corner's and adjust for height

The S2000 is a good swap for the Porsche. I think you would have fun with it on the weekend and then get rid of it in 6 months.

The Honda s2000 is a beast and a rare one now. Engine that can go at 9000 rpm like a good motorcycle :-) This can be a great project :-)

Copart has to jump the cars. It's their policy.
The s2000 would resale for around 6 to 7k easy and the suspension is made by ksport and retails for 1200 it's a good buy.
Oh and don't spend more than 5k on the s2000. Also you can get a hard top for cheap.
