I bought these a couple months back for my SCX10II. I live in Utah and these are amazing on rocks. Everything from granite to red rocks they do fantastic. I haven’t ever owned Hyrax tires but a couple friends run them and I’d say these run just as well and look a little cooler.

I recommend using a heavy degreaser to get the mold release off the tire. Then go crawl. Night and day. In Hawaii trenchers are awesome.

South East Coast of Ireland 🇮🇪, Rocky Glacial Mountains and Wet and Muddy woods , oh and miles of coast line and rock , I go between Hyrax G8 & Predator compound and for very sharp rocks that usually tear up the sidewalls of the Hyrax I use Traxxas Canyon Trails which are probably the Strongest Tyre I’ve used , they don’t perform as well as the Hyrax but they look great and are a good all rounder 🛻⛰🏠🪕☔️

My area in Wisconsin has mostly old moss covered stones pulled from farm fields which can be really challenging . The Proline Hyrax just seem to work very well on this terrain . The stock tires on my Axial SCXII Deadbolt were not very good at all. I have Trenchers also. I do believe the sidewalls bite a little better than the Hyrax but it is very close. You can clean them with de-greaser or Dawn dishwashing liquid or just get out and use them. It's not always mold release that everyone thinks they see . Plastic and rubber weep petroleum by-products from the materials used their entire life. That all comes to the surface more upon molding due to heat and pressure involved. Cleaning them definitely helps but as soon as you get them dirty the clean "bite" really isn't there , that's my opinion. The Trencher's do look a little more scale authentic but I could care less. Thanks for the videos also all of you who comment as I always like to hear what works for everyone else. My rig:
Axial Deadbolt CSXII, JConcepts Ford F-250 body, Injora shocks with 20 wt. front and 30 wt. oil back, Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster motor, Quickrun 1080 esc, 35 kg. servo. New radio soon. Cheers from Wisconsin.

Yes, the 1.9 is new for crawlers and it's good to know that it's tread pattern still works great even at such a small size. Although the Proline Trencher has been around for a quite some time now and I've been running the 2.86x4.87 and HUGE 4.15x6.50 sizes on a couple of my bashers for years and they are awesome!

I enjoy and trust your reviews. So, I came here in my research on a new set of tires. BUT, in the outro of this video, I see the TRX4 doing a rather impressive wheelie. And in the beginning of the video, when doing the dirt stability high speed maneuver testing, it appeared to be pretty quick too. And yet, it looks like it has great slow speed crawl as well. Do, you have a video detailing the build of this truck? Thanks.

I use them on a LCG crawler for mixed terrain. They gum up easier than the Hyrax in crusty dirt and mud, but other than that they seem pretty similar. I'd have to do deeper comparisons of the two on the same rig before really recommending one or the other, but close enough on first impression.

I agree. Scale looks for my crawler. I know the TRX4 Sport performs better than my Bronco would as it isn't as top heavy but I just like the scale look when using crawlers. I currently only have one crawler (2 if you consider a Summit a crawler) but I do like the detail of the new 2021 Bronco. I currently run Proline Flat Irons but look very close to a full sized tire. I would have went with the BFG Mud Terrain but the tire itself is pretty stiff compared to the Flat Irons. I feel like the Trenchers look better for a basher than a crawler.

I have one 3h forest run @ 15-20°C on them with dirt and rocks and they performed better than I anticipated for the first run. They grab everywhere. Tried 4 different tires on my TRX4.
PITBULL BRAVEN BERSERKER, PITBULL GROWLER, RC4WD GOODYEAR WRANGLER MTR 4.75 XSA, and cut CANYON TRAIL...
If you are on tight budget, the stock TRX4 tires, with a simple mod, are fantastic performers
If you wanna go big, Growlers!!! They are awesome in all weather conditions, actually pretty good on all terrains as well.
The Bravens are fantastic on rocks, but not so on softer surfaces.
RC4WD MTRs (4.75) a little bit of disappointment. Just average on all conditions.
So, for me, the go to tires are the Growlers...on Team Ottsix Varihub Capone wheels...the perfect look and the best all-arounder.

dont compare these off of dry surface only. hyrax do better in all around conditions. trenchers do better as long as sand and mud arent in the mix. cheers.
