It feels good to come clean. This has really helped me get my mind off the nerve pain during my recovery. If you follow me on Instagram you know this pain may last up to a year, and that I have to take a lot of medicine and go to a lot of doctor's appointments. We think some of my nerves were damaged during an injection after the surgery, and nerves heal slow. The second I can get back on a bike, I will. Until then we can drive RC's, fix bikes, and watch my friends ride bikes!
That ain’t good, I just hope all goes well. I’ll keep u in my prayers.🙏🙂
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery, man. In the meantime, I have to say I’ve actually been enjoying the RC videos. It’s cool to know that community isn’t as pretentious as I always thought it was, especially since the biking community can be sometimes.

Yeah. Personally after watching Seths videos for years, (which inspired me to get back into mountainbiking), i will watch anything he posts wheter i like it or not. Call it sunk cost.. or more accurate great, high quality content, with an awesome guy that has character. It's been really cool to see the evolution of this channel and his life!

Welcome to the addiction. I started back when I was 13 or 14. Gave it up for 10 years after my dad and brother passed away 24 hrs apart. They were my RC partners… then picked it back up during a back injury. Helped me heal mentally and physically. It’s a blast!

It makes me really happy that you're enjoying the RC bug! The RC community is top-notch. I started out as a 12 year old kid riding my bike into the hobby shop after school almost every day and they made it attainable for me to get super deep into it (letting us loiter there / setting us up with old vehicles , parts, etc. / and always helping us out). It also taught me how to use tools, solder, program electronics and gave me the passion to care about school and pursue engineering. The hobby shop folks also happened to be bikers, so that's eventually how I found MTB too. Rock on Seth!

I had a tamiya hornet when I was a kid, and I just loved it! I love the process of building it up, riding it around, as you point out the joy of fixing it and making it better. Such a blast!
I loved RC as a kid and I absolutely love the leaps and bounds the hobby has made over the last 20 years.

I feel you on your rc hobby. After my cancer surgery 5 years ago this was the perfect therapy for me while recovering. It’s become my addiction too and hope to keep doing this for the long term. Looking forward to seeing more of your rc’ing! Enjoy your passion!
I prefer faster RCs myself, but the cool thing about crawlers is you don’t need as much space and they don’t attract as much attention. Love seeing RCs on this channel!
I have the Slash 4x4 vxl. I installed my friend's old stampede tires on it and trimmed the body to make a monster slash. I also am getting an Arrma granite voltage and plan to get a trx 4 sport.
That's awesome I have the trx4 sport and it is super good but around were i live it is super muddy outside and it's to big to use Inside so if where you live its muddy l would suggest a smaller 1 16 model

@@justaregularguyontwowheels1644 yea, its pretty muddy here in Utah, but there are sooo many hiking trails to take an rc on. Great Salt Lake, Suncrest by mtb trails, Moab, St. George, Capitol reef and many more.

It definitely has a meditative quality to it. Something therapeutic about just watching the little things tackle obstacles and scale inclines. And do what keeps you happy and what you're passionate about while you're recovering.

Welcome to the family of RC scaled adventures!! Nice work!! I’ve built a similar indoor track of my own for my kids and I. We also have the addiction for these amazing RC trail/rock climbing vehicles as well. You said it best that until you actually see it and do it yourself it’s hard to explain how much fun it truly is and to try and see if these RC’s can do crazy obstacles. It’s almost therapeutic in so many ways for me. When I’m filming our videos with the family or just my son and I we have so much fun together and it brings smiles to our faces. It’s almost built an eBay and Amazon addiction as well customizing these rigs to whatever your heart desires. I used to build cars and trucks for a living and in a way this gives me so much freedom and pleasure to feel so close to the real thing mind you on a much smaller scale. No matter how the day has been or if my kids are having a down day we can always get the RC’s out and bash or crawl and for those few hours those problems or issues seem to fade away while having so much fun together. Keep it up and thanks for the great material!!!

I got a build kit and put together a traxxis back in the day. Putting it together was amazing. Feels like your a mechanic. And yah! whatever puts the smile on the face!!
Whether you're mountain biking or scale rock crawling your videos are always entertaining and I'll keep watching! The crawlers are loads of fun to watch and Seth's clever upgrades are pretty impressive too.

As someone who burned himself seriously out getting a business off the ground: It's incredibly important to have (and actually do) hobbies that aren't work. Just be careful, if you're working on something you're passionate about there's a good chance your hobby is related in some way. Try to avoid mixing them up or you'll quickly be back without a hobby to recharge your batteries with.

RC crawlers are my favorite things. They're so much fun to just mess around with. Like you said, it's fun to have little zoned out challenges to see if you can conquer them.

I've never seen one of your video's before but stumbled upon this video through recommendations. Loved it! You are right. Most people think of RC cars as childish. I've been attracted to radio controlled stuff since I was a kid, occasionally getting a car from the toy store. When I was 17, I worked at the supermarket and got enough money to buy my own first car from the hobby store. Immediately I was hooked. Now, almost 14 years later, I'm still into it. There's also so much to discover: I started with bashing, moving on to racing competitively. When I got bored, I started flying using planes and helicopters, later drones. At the moment, I'm more into scaling and crawling.
It's an awesome hobby! :)
I'm curious to see how long it takes for Seth to evolve to a 1:1 scale truck.

Hey Seth, my 10 year old son and I have been watching you since you built your first mountain bike trails around your yard.. which he decided to try to do at our condo complex! Trail markers and everything.. we have been riding for the last few years and really enjoyed your channel and this year we got micro crawlers and when we saw your RC videos we thought this is great!! Seth is into RC crawlers now! They are a ton of fun and amazing capabilities and you can use them where the bikes go. Thanks for sharing your addiction.. you’re not alone!!

As a racer, I know those people are frowned upon at my track. We all try to get out there and have fun. Sometimes things happen to the best of us though. We always make sure to be informative, and nice to the new racers.
Funniest hissy fit I ever saw was a kid who was sponsored turn up at our local club.
He thinks he's the biggest thing going, I mean he was, he was fooking massive :D
Deal is after you race you marshal the next, turn over the cars that crash ect.
That's not good enough for slim.
He crashes and screams! for daddy to turn his car over. Poor guy who went to do it, who was stood right there, gets a stream of abuse about touching his car while daddy hops and skips around the track to get to the stricken car.
Of course none of us bother to get his car next time which has him hemorrhaging time and makes him even angrier then crash more.
Despite all of his sponsored top class gear he wasn't any quicker than the best of us so of course had his arse handed to him. Don't think he ever came back.
Oh we did have a regular who used to throw his car across the track back towards the pits if he had a bad race, which just made it worse.
My theory, add carbon to any hobby and it attracts the assholes.
Seth is by far one of the best few TH-camrs I've seen that keep their style and content consistent for a long period of time.

Rc cars are a blast! I love the technical side of them. The Traxxas TRX with its locking diffs and 2 speed trans is way cool! Its a fun hobby that doesn't take much effort. I can spend hours with my kids and have a blast! Bash on brother! Keep up the great videos! Happy new year

@@Randombikekid Having an addictive personality can be very bad, you can get addicted to anything very easy so if you're not careful with an addictive personality you can easily end up as an alcoholic or drug addict. However, if you manage to channel it into something good and productive you can gain from it.

Blew my mind learning how many people out there riders out there crawled. I started a RC channel with plans to do a bike one too. Had my perfect job, 4 day weekends was going be perfect to travel and film. Had a hand injury that's put that on hold for now... Cheers so awesome

I bought a traxxas slash, ripped it around for a month or two, broke multiple driveshafts and shocks, sold it and bought a racing simulator

I was into rc crawlers when I was a kid, and got out of the hobby one way or another. I have wanted to get back into it for years now, but couldn't justify spending $400 on a 1/10th scale crawler. Then I saw your 1/24th scale crawler video... I bought an scx24 and I've been hooked ever since. I fully upgraded my truck, and built a belly dragger comp truck with the spare parts and a new chassis. Now I'm thinking about buying another truck to do a different build. Thanks for getting me back into crawlers man, I genuinely enjoy it!

Just bought 2 wpl c24 for my 2 sons as a christmas gift. Now they’re always wanting to go outside and play with it, and that’s a very good thing. When the battery runs out then they ride bicycles. 👌

Seth, I've been RCing for years, mostly short course trucks. Yesterday(because of this video) I bought an SCX24 and I've never had so much fun. Within a few hours it's now most modified truck.
After watching this again after two years I got all my RC cars out this last month lol they never get old and bought me a new Micro SCX24 Gladiator Jeep. I too had a Hip Surgery (2020)they kept me entertained for months.

Man, I've been following you for years and last week I bought my first RC. Nothing fancy a carrera profi buggy to race with my 5yo daughter who has the smaller version. What I saw as a rivival of my childhood is starting to grow as a real interest, so I searched the Internet and discovered a whole new world completely different from RC TOYS you see in common stores. And now I stumble on your video and find that you're into RC too! Haha. That's great. I'm not going to be able to buy any of the fancy crawlers you have here anytime soon though, theses are so expensive! Anyway it was nice watching you doing something different. Thanks!

It’s cool to see you into RC. I do it all. Rock crawl, race buggies and short course in the summer, and carpet race in the winter. It’s a great hobby.
Dude this is awesome I raced rc in the 90’s as well and now I’m a shop manager for a pro race team.. definitely good for young ones if keeping them off the street and out of trouble isn’t enough there are lots of lessons to be learned!
