The Kroger brand prepared puddings are just as good as the Jell-O and are less than half the price. I remember way back when the Snack-Pack puddings came out, they were in a metal can with a pull-top. My mother would pack my lunch with a can of Beanie-Weenies, a can of Snack Pack chocolate pudding and sometimes a thermos of soup. I would buy my milk at school.

I've always preferred the Jell-O brand pudding cups. My favorites are the dark chocolate and the chocolate/vanilla layered ones. They're even better slightly frozen (to me of course because I'm like that.. It reminds me of the old pudding pops)
I can eat the Snack Pack brand, but I can agree that they're quite artificial. I remember them having a sugar free caramel one years ago that was so fake in flavor that I couldn't even finish the package... The basic ones are just ok though, for the price/ability to store in the pantry.
We were shocked by the difference.

I totally agree with you 100%. The Jello has better taste. I have seen the Jello pudding packs with chocolate on top & vanilla in middle & chocolate on bottom.
We saw those too!
That's why on some things, like pudding, I don't eat the sugar free versions. The regular snack pack are only 100 cals each and taste so good. Worth the extra cals and still cheap. 🤷🏼♀️

Its funny you did this blind taste test because I love these sugar free pudding cups! I eat one every night but i freeze it for a few hours then let it thaw and the consistency is that of a pudding pop! Its so good! Jello is also my preferred brand. The snack pack is okay but the jello brand just has more sweetness and less of an artificial taste. Weird how much of a difference it is right?? The vanilla is very hard to find but if you ever do spot it get it!! Its my favorite flavor followed by their chocolate vanilla swirl! You guys should review the chocolate vanilla swirl as well since that one is mor easier to find 😊

I agree Jello is best. Have you thought about having Kevin rinse his mouth between tastes in these comparisons to get the taste of the first product out of his mouth?
It’s never been necessary. I taste the same thing. Even after videos while drinking, they taste exactly the same as they did in the video.
Jello is so much better… for sugar free… the sugar free rice pudding by jello is my favorite but the vanilla is a lot better than the chocolate… the snack pack regular pudding isn’t bad but their sugar free is awful… don’t even try the sugar free gelatin… it’s worse than the pudding… lol

Twice as much sugar alcohol in the Snack Pack, and it's a slightly smaller cup. No wonder it tasted like chemicals!
