- This is a blind taste test to see who has the best cordial cherries: Godiva, Queen Anne’s, Zachary or Cella’s.
* The Godiva were $10.00 at Barnes & Noble. 3 pieces = 200 calories (about 67 calories each)
* The Queen Anne’s were $1.46 at Walmart. 2 pieces = 150 calories (75 calories each)
* The Zachary were $1 at Walmart. 2 pieces = 150 calories (75 calories each)
* The Cella’s were $2.74 at Walmart. 3 pieces = 160 calories (about 53 calories each)

I am so surprised that you all did not like the Cella's!!! These are a favorite of many people I know...including myself. I like the liquid center better than the cream center. Great review tho.
+Brenda Boettcher This was a fun video! Sometimes the more expensive brand loses, so today it was fun to find out that we paid a lot for the Godiva, but they are excellent quality.
Brenda Boettcher The people you know of must really love bland artificial chocolate and bitter corn syrup. Cella's are so gross.

I have eaten the Cella's milk chocolate since I was a child. We buy them every year at Christmas. I love the liquid center and yes it's sticky. What you need to do is bite the top of the Cella's and then drink the liquid. I have bought these before and they were also leaking. I took them back to CVS and they exchanged them for the ones not leaking. Before I bought them, I asked to open the boxes to make sure they were not leaking.
Chocolate covered cherries remind me of Grandma's house in the 70s. She always had these for the grandkids.
Now I'm craving a them🍒🍒

Zachary is and will always be just awful chocolate. They make the worst assorted variety you can get and I was always bummed out when a box would show up. Maybe 3 of their assorted chocolates were just ok, the rest was trash. So I'm not surprised their Chocolate covered cherries are low grade as well.
My family are absolute die hard Cella's supporters and switched exclusively to them when I was a teenager. Prior to that, they bought the Queen Anne and considered them cheap excuses.
The reality is though, I was and will always be a Queen Anne Fan and absolutely despise Cella's. In fact, my wife brought a box of the Queen Anne home yesterday and sneered at them, but my 3 year old just ate one as I was typing this and she loved it. So I got a partner lol

I have had excellent cherry cordials but with shipping was almost $30. Cella's is OK, but Queen Ann is my favorite inexpensive brand. I wish there were selections that were in between the expensive and inexpensive ones. I believe Queen Ann takes me back to my childhood. I never had the Zachary's.

Cellas are the BEST. And there is NO WAY id spend $10 for the Godivas. Cellas are fairly cheap and extremely delicious. You people down south are crazy
Cellas are my fav ,in Baltimore there is place that makes homemade Chocolate Covered Cherries called Rhebs. Rhebs are the best but my fav store bought is Cellas. Never tried Godiva might have splurge on them lol

I love cherry liqueurs - are these the same? I'd never heard of cherry cordials before. It doesn't sound like they have an alcohol flavour to them like the liqueurs do here.

Most think the cella's are superior, as I always have. I am starting to think the only reason why is because the packaging is so nice.
I think it's pronounced "Chella's" at least it would be in italy :D

+Craft Corner with Esther C The first thing you notice with the Godiva is the thickness and quality of the chocolate. I like the Queen Anne's but I have to admit that Godiva beats them. That said, I would rather spend a dollar or two versus $10. I will enjoy the Godiva that I have left, but I won't pay that much again no matter how good they are.
I bet if you were able to find a Godiva store, it would probably be a bit cheaper than buying them at B&N... food is always super expensive there.

That was fun, I like the queen annes but when my pockets full one day I will have to splurge on the Godivas
+GretchGerty I did not realize how much they were until we got home. I about died.
So they like cremes and they like the better chocolate.
I prefer Cella's as my OTC cordial, as they are real cordials. Of course I can make my own liqueurs and fruit cordials so like those best >_< You have to make sure the shell is just thick enough & creamy and not overpowering the cordial, unless strong alcoholic or a strong fruit like citrus or berries. All four are slag if you have a confectioner near and buy the batch made.
I grew up on Brach's Chocolate covered cherries.... none of these compare to what I grew up on.. Just my opinion.

This really is NOT a fair test since the Godiva brand were "dark" chocolate. If you would have had the Queen Anne in dark chocolate I would bet my life that the tasters would have picked them as #1. Queen Anne have always been my favorite cordial cherries for as long as I can remember. They really are the best out there.
