      Really helpful video. What plugins do you recommend for beginner producers? I’m not willing to spend money yet but I’m interested in any good free ones. Thanks for these great videos!

      I’m so far down the rabbit hole that there feels like no turning back lol. However I prefer using third party plugins because I like to jump daws from time to time. I have no problem with the learning curve for new daws. However for me different plugins give me different vibes… so it’s hard to downscale.

      There is nothing wrong with 3rd party plugins. I always recommend native stuff to beginners for simplicity, but eventually we all make it to 3rd party stuff Lol. And I feel you, there is always a balance!

      Also I don’t buy plugins until the price is right, these days plugins are so cheap that you feel like why not add this to my toolbox.

    Absolutely Agree.
    Same goes for too many Samples / Sample Libraries.
    Create your own sample library. Start with 20 of your Favourite Kicks, 20 Claps, 20 Hihats etc etc.
    Limit yourself and you will finish stuff faster.

    I recently got a new computer - the process of reinstalling all the plugins was absolutely absurd. Made me really take inventory of what I actually use on the regular

      Same! I did a plugin purge when I switched to a new computer last month and I don’t regret it.

    The struggle is real. If there's a sale, I'll wait until the last minute to decide whether to buy. The sale usually ends before I decide, so I just end up tormenting myself for nothing.

    I like making "music" with my guitar. I don't own a bass or drums, so I just focused on getting 1 or 2 decent guitar effects plugin (Bias FX2, Amplitube). I needed a Bass instrument in lieu of the physical bass, so I got Modo Bass. For drums, I liked Modo Drum. For other effects, I have AIR products as well as SampleTank. For mix and mastering, I stuck with Izotope (everything bundle). For other items, I'm sticking with the default items provided in Studio One.
    All that just for me to say yes, less is more, and more can at times mean less.

      Couldn’t agree more. Solid plugin choices btw, I use most of those as well!

    Shalom i notice you have a nice PreSonus mixer board connect to S1. What you do if you run out of tracks?

    • @ImIvanCalderon
      @ImIvanCalderon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The board has motorized faders and auto adjusts as I move across the tracks on my mixer in Studio One!

    • @LossLeadas
      @LossLeadas ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ImIvanCalderon gotcha basically never ending? ok lets say you go to track 34 in studio one how does it identify that track on the board? or to know what track is first starting on the left of the mixer board?

    • @ImIvanCalderon
      @ImIvanCalderon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Precisely! The board will show you whatever track you select in Studio One along with any surrounding tracks to fill up the 16 available channels on the board.
