This man does a lot of videos on my XPS 8960 but not enough hands on. He just sits there and talks.

Thank you for your commitment, really appreciate it! I have been doing IT for over 20 years and doing TH-cam maybe for six months or so. I have hard time top figure out how technical these videos should be. I don’t have the funds and skillset yet to use multiple cameras and do pro level editing. It`s coming along, but it takes time.
I spent at least 100 hours just on the Dell cooling options on this XPS 8960. I can’t imagine, you want to watch me running benchmarks for days and swapping the different coolers out over and over. Please let me know what kind of videos you would be interested in? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated!

Yep! Was also hoping for more, but this is what we are getting on the performance side.

Do you have the 460 power supply? I Have the same setup without the gpu. Curious if I get a 4060 ti if I need to upgrade the power supply

Yes I do have the 460W power supply. Works great with the RTX 4060 Ti, no need to replace it. Full video here: th-cam.com/video/r5LYy4UBpIs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Bl2M8AKF6_aJuQyv&t=371

@ 6:19 you show a pic from Amazon with a cooler for $79. Will that fit into a Dell XPS 8960 i7-13700 (not the i7-13700k) ?

Hi! Check my latest video, I already installed it and tested: th-cam.com/video/Y8CbX3-ie58/w-d-xo.html
I would not buy it from Amazon ( reason in the video) again and I will return it, Please double check with Dell, but this should be the same thing: www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-cpu-heatsink-assembly-for-optiplex-7000-7010-precision-workstation-3660-3660xe-xps-8950/apd/c253w/pc-accessories

Wow..... i just bought the Dell XPS-8960 with a i7-13700K about two weeks ago and when i upgraded it to liquid cooling, it added $50 to the price (difference in price from the standard fan).... Noise??? well, i just upgraded from an Dell XPS-8930 and it had a fan..... it was noisy as hell and i never hear anything from this new one at all so there's that....
BUT...... i have another issue with the liquid cooling!!! It puts off an odor! .... now, i am an old electronic tech who has troubleshot for 40 years and i know what overheated electronics smell like, but this is more of a chemical smell and one i am not familiar with at all. At first, i didn't know where the smell was coming from but i keep my computer running most of the time... i turned it off one night and the smell went away. And i see no leaks so... my best guess is that there is some sort of thermal grease smeared between it and the heatsink and maybe that is heating up and giving off that odor???
Would be curious about a follow up and see if you found the same to be true...

I had 0 issues with the liquid cooler had no smell whatsoever.
I replaced the processor with an i9-14900k also had no issues at all.
This Saturday I started smelling something strange around the PC which might be similar what you described.
It’s not a burnt or unpleasant smell but it made me concerned to the point where I shut the pc down completely and removed the liquid cooler. I examined it thoroughly and found no leaks no cracks nothing.
I replaced the cpu coolers least 10-15 times or more using the same thermopaste each time. I have a hard time to imagine that somehow it started smelling but anything possible. The new video will be out in the next couple days. If the smell returns I will include that.

@@No1Armadillo Not sure if you saw the new video: th-cam.com/video/HFBwlwSPwy0/w-d-xo.html
I have the smell too now; I might just take the pump apart to see what’s inside. See if the smell is coming from there or if it`s coming from the actual liquid.
