- So Hyang is an amazing full lyric Soprano. She is mostly recognized for her amazing Upper Belt Notes up to C#6. Her Head Voice is flawless too. The only lack is in her Lower Register, but she can hit down to D3. Overall, her sustained range is G3- F6 but her entire vocal range is D3-A6.

That Bb5 in arirang alone still gives me chills. Her vocal range is just crazy, I can only dream of hitting the notes she hits so effortlessly. Her voice is honestly just something else, it makes me emotional every time.

SoHyang's lower register is very underrated & isn't as bad or as weak as people like to point out. It's actually pretty decent for a soprano of her tessitura

@@seeulatermaybenever6189 I am a Lyric/Spinto Tenor and I can go down to C2 in the sub chest register and belt up to C#5 and sometimes up to D5, I can go up to a F#5 in head dominant mixed register and up to B5 in head voice.
Her mixing is incredible and her voice so fluid and free. The clarity and freedom in her belts is so rare in pop. Michael Bolton's reaction at 6:49 says it all. Her notes are literally perfection every single time

There are only a good handful of female artists who can sing high notes effortlessly, examples, Hyorin, Bada, Ailee. But Sohyang tops all of them.
Sohyang is incredible. I think her sweet spot is in the 5th octave. specifically everything from about Bb5 above. Lol. Yup. All of it. Also that head voice omg so underrated.

I never realized how many of her falsetto notes are connected to her chest voice and is a so called headvoicy kind of mixed voice if you will. She can slide down into a full voice again without any vocal breaks at all as she does åt around 13:45. I think she can sing in a connected way and unstrained up to a D6, I have heard her go down to more of a chest voice without a vocal break in a recent performance of Oh Holy Night. It's very understandable that she rarely goes beyond D6 If she can keep a healthy, connected voice up to that point and also understandable that she wants a healthy, air-free falsetto. Love this technique of hers, this discovery only makes me adore her even more!
