sohyang slays she uses balance mix is so balace and powerful park uses heady mix is not power from E5 her notes is heady more. that not gôd and she cant say while sohyang can talk and phrase when she belts Bb5. i think sohyang can teach park about talking while belting about head voice both are fully support but sohyang with more resonace sohyang is queen of resonace and support

SoHyang is better than Park Kiyoung no doubt, but that doesn’t mean that Park Kiyoung is a bad singer. She has a beautiful voice. It’s just like when people compare SoHyang’s high notes to her low notes. Her high notes are amazing but that doesn’t mean her low notes are terrible. It’s just kind of an unfair comparison.

Yes, Park Ki young doesn’t even support below Bb3. Sohayng can support consistently down to G#3. Park Ki Young’s head voice can pick up tongue tension even around B5, so there’s a huge difference in technique
Height doesn't mean anything but quality, control, versatility & consistency. I think SoHyang's upper register (mixed & head voices) is simply untouchable, in terms of her ease of access and balanced quality. Her mixing technique is also stunning.

Sohyang is phenomenal, there's no doubt about that. She has a ridiculously insane technique and nobody can nail her upper register the way she does. I just think that Park also holds her own too. Park is insanely talented too. I don't think it's appropriate to compare them as in who's better because they both really have insanely good voices.

Right about the first one wrong about the second one cause Sohyang has a beautiful head voice which she has developed and Mariah didnt develop hers to that extent. When it comes to high notes they can be the same but i feel SoHyang has a higher upper range.
The first one's true, but not the second one. Mariah has different strengths. SoHyang's strength is her upper belts, which aren't the best part of Mariah's voice. SoHyang can belt much higher than Mariah. Mariah's strengths are her low notes, agility, and MID belts

Thought A4 - C#5 was biased but overall was an incredible video; So Hyang won IMO for the simple fact her voice is clearer up there and she has far more dynamics in the G5 - C6 range and headvoice both are very equal to about B5 where So Hyang takes over and blossoms in the C6/D6 area.
You may be right. But her voice is not very beautiful. You vocal analysts lack the ability to discern the beauty of voices. You confuse the allure of great vocal technique with the allure of a great overall performance.
Both SoH and Park are talented. I noticed park does support her notes but doesn't hold it long. Soh supports and keeps the note going for a while. Soh has more of a lighter Angelic voice. Park is more deep and reminds me of rock stars. Amazing job to these ladies. Both are amazing

But some reason, Sohyang is better at supporting and on Her belting and her breathe control is out of this world y’all. They're both good belters but So Hyang has the upper hand in 5th octave belting. Park Kiyoung sounded breathless above G#5 in a couple of her performances I watched and her voice gets thinner around Bb5. Her head notes for everything higher than Bb5 were extremely pleasing to the ear, her F6 and Eb6 in a couple of videos were amazing but her mixes to compared to her head voice wasn't nearly as good. Kiyoung's head voice seems to be the most developed from opera though So Hyang is almost just as good in head voice.
As with any singer put up against Sohyang, Park just falls short.if i was just commenting on Park i would say she has a fabulous voice but she doesn't make me feel very much when i listen to her,with Sohyang i always feel connected to her performances you can't help it ,she draws you in like nobody else.

come on guys, give park ki young some credit here. she is amazing and probably the second best vocalist in Korea after sohyang. both ladies are incredible. I do strangely enough prefer park ki young head voice over sohyang though. park ki young is a professional opera singer and she blooms in that area.

Sohyang possesses greater technique so far she has more resonance and agility and sustaiability comparing to Park Kiyoung. Park also has good range but lack of power and resonance which she can step toward sohyang If she can add more resonace in her cavity which is trainable (May be she need some suggestion from sohyang to be dual Legend singer someday)

In "Passionate Song" Park holds a belted C5 for up to 21.03 seconds. In a few videos of immortal songs, Park has held C6 head voice tones for up to 23 seconds before switching back to her laryngeal healthy placement in belt. Sohyang may be the queen of high belting but when it comes to long, healthy, beautiful, heavenly notes, Park CANNOT be touched. especially in the headvoice area. These here were absolutely terrible examples of her headvoice, recent clips of her doing Lonely Night and Nella Fantasia are better clips.

Honestly, park kiyoung is the 3rd best vocalist is south Korean. First being Sumi Jo, second sohyang. Park is an outstanding vocalist and singer. She is also trained in opera. And does fantastic opera covers. Let's not forget Park is more towards the rock genre, while sohyang is more CCM style. Park has so much versatility, more so than sohyang. Both amazing though. It's way to tough to choose. But best vocalist is sohyang. But both are great friends! Aucks that Park is SO underrated and unknown! She should be right up there with sohyang! Her skills need more globalization.
People often choose So Hyang just because they did know her before Park Kiyoung. Most of the people is knowing Kiyoung's existence on this video. Because of this, you're more likely to create a bias on Sohyang. I kinda started to listen to them about the same time. For personal preference, i like Park Kiyoung more, just because of her rock style, but for lyrical / elegance i prefer Sohyang... Overall i still choose Park Kiyoung. She is so underrated ...more then Sohyang. There are so few reaction videos... so sad.
We all know Sohyang is a legend in highnotes, but ParkKiYoung is so underrated too. KiYoung herself already slays most divas. Note* ParkKiYoung's C6 are headvoice or headmix. Not "headymix" which is still based on chest.
I am a fan of Kiyoung who is the underrated one. Plus singing high notes and screaming all the time is not my cup of tea. Kiyoung can sing softly and can use lower registers properly. She also shows the emotion of the songs she sang on Immortal Songs. I don't care if Sohyang can hit the high notes better or has higher vocal range or can do vocal acrobatics. She only does that kind of singing and it grates on my ears. Kiyoung is versatile and can sing rock, pop, opera/classical r and b, etc....And she is more pleasing to my ear when I watch her perform. But people are always dazzled by the shrieks and think that singing is all about hitting the high notes.

Both AMAZING singers!! I think, objectively, SoHyang can support her upper register better and can go higher before going into her head voice, those last few notes in the first section I felt Kiyoung was closer to using her head voice
They has different types of mixed. Park has heady, while SOHYANG HAS BALANCED Heady can go higher. Park can hit F6 in mixed voice. It sounds different from Sohyangs mixed. Both of them are soooooo amazing. I think that , there is no need to choose. Just enjoy

actually, it is Kiyoung who is underrated.
As a vocalist, she is not underrated. But as an artist, hmmm I'm not sure whether she has any hit songs in Korea. Some Koreans still don't know her.

Sohyang is phenomenal, there's no doubt about that. She has a ridiculously insane technique and nobody can nail her upper register the way she does. I just think that Park also holds her own too. Park is insanely talented too. I don't think it's appropriate to compare them as in who's better because they both really have insanely good voices.

Thought A4 - C#5 was biased but overall was an incredible video; So Hyang won IMO for the simple fact her voice is clearer up there and she has far more dynamics in the G5 - C6 range and headvoice both are very equal to about B5 where So Hyang takes over and blossoms in the C6/D6 area.
Not biased at all, Park Ki Young suffered from tongue tension and throaty from A4. Sohyang still wins from A4-C#5

Both SoH and Park are talented. I noticed park does support her notes but doesn't hold it long. Soh supports and keeps the note going for a while. Soh has more of a lighter Angelic voice. Park is more deep and reminds me of rock stars. Amazing job to these ladies. Both are amazing

The high notes of Sohyang are incredibly powerful but the control of Park Kiyoung is impressive, I can not choose one.

They're both good belters but So Hyang has the upper hand in 5th octave belting. Park Kiyoung sounded breathless above G#5 in a couple of her performances I watched and her voice gets thinner around Bb5. Her head notes for everything higher than Bb5 were extremely pleasing to the ear, her F6 and Eb6 in a couple of videos were amazing but her mixes to compared to her head voice wasn't nearly as good. Kiyoung's head voice seems to be the most developed from opera though So Hyang is almost just as good in head voice.
As with any singer put up against Sohyang, Park just falls short.if i was just commenting on Park i would say she has a fabulous voice but she doesn't make me feel very much when i listen to her,with Sohyang i always feel connected to her performances you can't help it ,she draws you in like nobody else.

I do strangely enough prefer park ki young head voice over sohyang though. park ki young is a professional opera singer and she blooms in that area.

Sohyang possesses greater technique so far she has more resonance and agility and sustaiability comparing to Park Kiyoung. Park also has good range but lack of power and resonance which she can step toward sohyang If she can add more resonace in her cavity which is trainable (May be she need some suggestion from sohyang to be dual Legend singer someday)

In "Passionate Song" Park holds a belted C5 for up to 21.03 seconds. In a few videos of immortal songs, Park has held C6 head voice tones for up to 23 seconds before switching back to her laryngeal healthy placement in belt. Sohyang may be the queen of high belting but when it comes to long, healthy, beautiful, heavenly notes, Park CANNOT be touched. especially in the headvoice area. These here were absolutely terrible examples of her headvoice, recent clips of her doing Lonely Night and Nella Fantasia are better clips.

Honestly, park kiyoung is the 3rd best vocalist is south Korean. First being Sumi Jo, second sohyang. Park is an outstanding vocalist and singer. She is also trained in opera. And does fantastic opera covers. Let's not forget Park is more towards the rock genre, while sohyang is more CCM style. Park has so much versatility, more so than sohyang. Both amazing though. It's way to tough to choose. But best vocalist is sohyang. But both are great friends! Aucks that Park is SO underrated and unknown! She should be right up there with sohyang! Her skills need more globalization.

People often choose So Hyang just because they did know her before Park Kiyoung. Most of the people is knowing Kiyoung's existence on this video. Because of this, you're more likely to create a bias on Sohyang. I kinda started to listen to them about the same time. For personal preference, i like Park Kiyoung more, just because of her rock style, but for lyrical / elegance i prefer Sohyang...
Overall i still choose Park Kiyoung. She is so underrated ...more then Sohyang.

I am a fan of Kiyoung who is the underrated one. Plus singing high notes and screaming all the time is not my cup of tea. Kiyoung can sing softly and can use lower registers properly. She also shows the emotion of the songs she sang on Immortal Songs. I don't care if Sohyang can hit the high notes better or has higher vocal range or can do vocal acrobatics. She only does that kind of singing and it grates on my ears. Kiyoung is versatile and can sing rock, pop, opera/classical r and b, etc....And she is more pleasing to my ear when I watch her perform. But people are always dazzled by the shrieks and think that singing is all about hitting the high notes.
