That derailleur doesn't actually have a clutch on it. You could get a microshift accolyte derailleur and shifter with a clutch. It will be much better.
If you look at your bike chain you will see a hollow nano rod that holds two chain rings, by that toll you give pressure to one end of that nano rod so that it comes out of the other end as simple as that but if you still didn't understand you can find lots of vids in yt

Be careful about shortening the chain too far or it'll jam on the large cog and won't shift down but otherwise good job.
