The only thing says you drive nice on the highway is the badge laying on the bonet. Same thing happened with my 190E 2.3 a long time ago. Love these ultimate machines.

You are right, but i think 5000rpm is enough for a 35 year old engine.

According to specs, the 420 model has a top speed of 225, so just barely 220, unless its modified.. 🤷🏼‍♂️😊

I do not like the way hands are on the steering wheel at this speed. When learning to drive it was 10h10 position or, newer, 9h15 !
In cas of emergency, it makes the difference. I use to drive my MB E350cdi at 200kmph in Germany.
