Loved your video! I've fished all my life and got very spoiled by fishing in the Bahamas, so I especially appreciate your upbeat, optimistic attitude. That's important. It's just as important to love being "out there" as it is the catch itself, which, when it arrives, makes everything worth the effort. Carry on!
We are going there in the first part of June. Hoping we can catch whiting and croakers . We cut them in half and use them for bait for Bull reds and rays. Alot of fun. The bigger the tug the bigger the drug.
Next time catch some sand fleas. The surf fish go crazy for them. Setup a couple rods in the holder than use a smaller one rig it like a carolina rig to cover water and cast. You'll be surprised how shallow the fish can be at times..
The trout you are catching are speckled trout. In SC they have to be 16-23 inches to keep. They are very good to eat. The other small fish (while everyone calls them whiting) they are actually king fish. Some have lateral lines on the side and they are northers king fish. Sheeps head are prominent from the pier due to the structure. They are best targeted with hermit crabs and very small circle hooks.
Speckled Trout! The things you correctly called whiting are not croakers. Croakers have a spot on the side and are notable because they CROAK (like frogs)
First fish you thought was a whiting was in fact a whiting. The next two were croaker. Also you didn’t talk to the right people going to the inlet because right before that private neighborhood is public access to the beach.
Not sure how I missed this video, but it was great! Probable one of the best videos you have made in my opinion! Keep it up bro 👊🎣
thanks, bro, glad you liked it! and we got to go get on some trout or something soon
@@BassBros8 For sure, once the weather starts to cool down a bit we should definitely go

Appreciate that! And heck yeah, just love being out there🙌
Just arrived in MB and watched your video for some tips. Thanks so much for the content. Great video!!!
I love the Myrtle Beach area. I just left Cherry Grove today. It was great as usual!
I like the fish you catched! A Puffer fish. Interesting....
Whiting and croaker are very similar. In SC you will catch northing whiting, (vertical stripes) whiting and croaker. Your first fish was a blue fish.

Cool fish!! So great to catch different types of fish ❤
Looks like a baby bluefish. Snapper blue

thanks for the tips, Ill be back there this summer hopefully!
Im about to go this week for the first time 😊 and here is a subscriber
Where can I find the rules of where and when you can fish the surf on the beach? Never fished the surf going down in july
I have a place in North Myrtle... Take those small fish, disability them, put a hook in them and you catch a bigger fish, usually a shark.
what kind of rod where u using?
which piers did you fish off?
I'd call it a good trip. "The tug is the drug". Gotta love it.
What's with the green arm band. Just being nosey. :)
It was for the pier to show I payed
Thought that may be what it was. Thanks.

Wrong on spec trout size in SC
@@stevehedrick5877 Can you give me this proper slot so I'm not throwing fish back that I could be eating?
All in all a good trip you caught those numbers . It's always good when your cating them .
You misnaming fishes is pretty funny. You're fun to watch my guy
I appreciate it🙌
What rod is that telescoping one?
Magreel, I got it on Amazon
@@BassBros8how do you like it?
I think the first small one looked like a bluefish.
Why do you reel in sideways instead of up and down?
It was more comfortable with the rail at the pier

Thanks for the info!
