Those intercoastal rods are great but the salt water destroys those Shakespeare reels and I find that over time with some use of the rod running braid that the braid actually cuts grooves in the top steel line guide. Those grooves don’t bug me none I’ve still hooked big fish on those rods even with all the abuse it’s taken
A few weeks ago it was good until the cold snap. I haven't had a chance to fish since then nor have I seen any reports of people catching off the beach since before Christmas.
At the beginning I had rigs that I had already made up using 30Ib floro. Once the line broke I simply tied the rigs using my main line which was 20Ib mono. Thanks for watching
All I can say is that I was catching three fish to everybody else one fish regardless if they were small or not. I did have bigger bait out however no bigger fish were around or either not biting. Take care...
@@fishingwithpierce8648 i get it, its fun catching, but i had to laugh, i would have used them for bait. moving there in a few months, see you there. lol
If you are fishing on one of the public piers the cost of admission to fish include the license for that day. As far as private piers it would be my opinion that you would need to purchase a salt water fishing license
I bought the bait at the pier at the same time I purchased the license to fish the pier. It only takes a few minutes to thaw out frozen shrimp when running the water over it.
I just bumped into your video. After the first five minutes it looked like a winner but the music was SO annoying. Why you added music and then talk over it is a mystery. I scrolled ahead ten minutes and the music was STILL there. I had to move on.
If you are talking about the fish caught at about the 12 minute 30 second mark on the video it was defiantly a Spotted Sea Trout and regulations are 14 inch TL
thanks for explaining this information. i feel more confident fisherman.
Great video . Thanks for sharing

Do I need to buy license to fish on the pier? I thought if we on private pier with permission we can fish for free?
