yes just installed mine last week. wife and the kids love them. I called 10 places to get a quote for install got anywhere from 200 lowest to 450 highest. I decided to do it myself after watching yt videos and so glad i did.

Where do u put the jack after installing these? If someone accidentally places the lift under these steps, and lifts the vehicles up for service will it hold the body weight and still function normally?

This is a great video, full of good advice. However, be aware that starting with the 2022 year models, GM trucks require an additional installation step to splice directly into the the truck's wiring. Amp's OBD II connector is also required, but two wires (in addition to the two purple) have been added to the wiring harness and connect up under the dash. It's not super complex but it is additional hassle and warranty impacts on the GM side are unknown.

Man, great addition to the truck. They are gorgeous. I have fixed Step bars, (2017 Silverado SCA Apex Edition)... the only thing I like about the fixed bars? No door dings! The height of the truck places those bars in the perfect position so that other doors hit the bar instead of the truck. I have personally witnessed it on two separate occasions. And I snickered both times.

I have so much respect for you man. Your videos are so detailed oriented, entertaining, dead on point, long but simple and informational. Excellent job. I got the same steps installed on my wife's truck, same as yours, and they are such a deal breaker for her. They are expensive but in my opinion, the price is fair if not right for the durability, finish, ergonomic design, product quantity, easy installation, the phenomenal look and the functionality is outstanding.
By the way, I found easier for me to partially install the step bar on the brackets first and then the brackets or hinges to the frame of the truck, but I guess for you was easier but lifting the truck up, thing that I didn't do. Thank you so much for your videos.

AWESOME! I have those exact same ones on my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L). They have been awesome. Everything you said about the installation is correct. I also installed them myself. The stock AT4 steps are heavy with a sharp/rough textured finish...and really didn't do anything except rip the skin off my legs (while in shorts) exiting the truck. These steps are pricey, but 100% worth every penny. Nice work

I'm having these (hopefully these are the ones the dealership ordered for me) installed on my 2009 Chevy Silverado LS this week. I have the same need for steps now. For my Father is very much older now and not as agile as he once was for getting up into my truck. Thanks for the video. I do like the fact that you are meticulous about everything looking as if it was put in from the factory. I pray the installer who does the work on my truck has that same mindset. I am disappointed that there is drilling involved in the installation. Crap! Aloha from Aloha, Oregon. Google it if you have never heard of it.

Man I love the videos you do on your truck, they are great mods and you are not going above and beyond where the truck would kinda suck for daily driving. You got the perfect rig. Keep up the good work man! I am currently in high school but my goal for the future is to buy myself a 2017 white on white Chevy Silverado z71, then I’d want a 2015 camaro ss aswell.

Nice. My factory set worked about three months.
here in this Texas blackland in constant mud in water they finally gave up.
Dealer replaced them twice. Third time I took a saws all and cut them off right at the motor.
Most of the time in the back would go down in the front wouldn’t because of the heavy mud.
By the way your electric motors sound pretty loud. Although it may be just because you’re in your garage and it’s like an echo chamber.
Maybe outside they’re not as noisy.

I installed a set of these on my '21 GMC AT4. They're ok. So far they have been reliable, but my 2 biggest gripes are: 1. They don't tuck up neatly and closely underneath the truck. There is about a 1.5" gap between the steps and the bottom of the truck (when they are retracted). 2. They don't extend back to the bed. My wife and my daughter love them, but I'm not 100% sure I would buy them again.

Yes they are a real ease of access to my Silverado. Good luck getting parts and getting them to return your e-mails. Customer service is the pitts. My auto lift retract circuit board went out. After several attempts to get a replacement or answer, i finally took a butter fly switch and wired it in. I'd much rather have it in auto mode, but for now , until i find a new board. i'll just do it manually.

I know my spelling wasn’t that terrible when I hit send lol. Thanks for the reply back, i think I’m about to pull the trigger with the Amp brand, the RC magnetic operation in the door jambs just worries me. No contact, no work- and they say, oh just readjust the magnets, but then how well will they stick again-no thank you. Hey, love your videos and keep up the great tutorials for all of us to watch and learn. Preciate it!!

Loving the Chanel. Do you have a link for your tool that you use to pull the push pins / grommets out? After watching this, I’m definitely going that route for my side rails

These look great for that truck... However, is there an adjustment for delay in "Tucking"? Granted, I havent used these kinds of boards but I just wanted to ask.

Was drilling for lights a pain? Didn’t look like it but I installed these last year on my 21 and I went through 8 carbide bits for 1 hole, even took it to 2 different body shops. No they used their best drill bit with no luck. Ended up taking it to a mechanics shop, heard air tool going nuts for about 15 min and it’s was done. All shops said it was tough metal.

haha 100% fact. I went through 4 drill bits and a few curse words. Also reassuring that the metal underneath me is super solid.

Which wire did you tap in for the steps to come down with rear doors

Still prefer the RBP Stealth Powersteps. Dual motors, about $500 cheaper, and don't take up the OBD port.

@@DerekL2005 I think you can get an OBD extension so you could still run both, but obviously it wouldn't be as clean as just having one device connected there.

Amp gives you an adapter where you can still use your obd port. Only annoying thing about RBP is that they take longer to retract when you close the door.

AMP research offers an OBD2 splitter as an option. It costs $95.00 if you purchase it from them. Keeps your OBD port open so you can use scan tools or plug in a tuner. If you don’t want to spend that much you can buy the same exact part for $38. Its made by AUTOMETER 5323. The only difference is it doesn’t have a shiny sticker that says AMP on it. Used this on my install on my 19 Silverado and it works perfect. Hides all the AMP wiring behind the kick panel and the obd doesn’t have something sticking out you can hit your knee on.

I really want these for my 08 Silverado but I'm running a amf disabler so I wonder if I could hard wire the wires instead of using the OBD2 port?
