This is by far the best installation video on installing the Rough Country E Boards..... the hardware is pretty much explained in the individual model truck butt the wiring tips shown here can apply to most all trucks with minor exceptions. This one gave me the tips/confidence to tackle the installation on my F150 Lariat truck.
I am very impressed with this step system. You have made the installation very well thought out and user friendly. I will be purchasing a Gladiator soon and will be purchasing this step. Jack
Just put them on my 2022 chevy Silverado man they are perfect and easy to put on with this video just follow exactly what he does shouldn’t have a problem in all took about 3-4 hours. don’t have lift like this guy haha
@edwinmuniz1263 performance wise, they have been great. I recently got a lot of mud on them, which they started squeaking a bit after I washed them. I'm not worried, as I'm sure a shot of lithium grease or penetrating oil will be the easy fix.
I have had AMP steps many of my trucks and never had an issue. Just keep them clean and lubed. I bought the RC steps for my brand new 2024 ZR 2 HD2500 bison. Installation was straight forward, steps. Look good and the work perfect so the few weeks I have had them.
All the videos I see have the motors delivered in the “open” position and allows the boards to be installed before the wiring. Mine came with the motors in the “closed or retracted” position. So I’m assuming I need to toggle the switch to the “off” position and have the doors closed then give them power and then open all doors and then turn the switch on so all the motors open at the same time and then be able to install the boards? Or is there an override feature to manually open them?
Hi, I have a quick question I have a set of JLU power runningboards on order. Currently, I have side steps that have LEDs that are wired into my dome lights. When I open the door they light up. Can I wire the steps the same way, so I don’t have, the wire door sensors? Thanks again.
The motor mounting is the problem and the cheesy triggers. Alllllll those holes where the motors go and they only use 1 hole. I’m customizing brackets to hold my motors… better…. That bottom bolt/ to factory hole has to much play( they should have provided MULTIPLE spacers, type of grommet or something. It’s never easy !!!!! 3 hrs is total BS bro. Aliging the steps/motors to the rocker is the issue.
I got these installed on my 2024 Silverado 1500 zr2 but my led lights only turn on when I open the door on both sides were they installed wrong or is it control unit problem ?

I'm getting ready to spend a grand on these running boards for my bronco. What are the chances of the motor failing or the life of the motors? And what happens when or if they fail?
I was wondering about that pinching that wire over time. I think when I install mine I’ll probably try to add some cushioning between the truck body and the wiring.
There is any way to adjust the steps on this power running boards, they work great but I notice that I added the shims and still making contact with the vehicle, is minimum the contact that they have but they still making this contact noise at the time close or open the doors… if someone can help me out with this I appreciated!..
Did you try loosening the 2 bolts on the brackets motors and then closing the door to bring the steps up and tightening the top bolt first ? I’m having the same issue
Best installation video for electric board. Can we cut those boards for better fitment? I have a 2023 Tundra double cab for which there are currently no electric board offered. I’m thinking about buying one for the crew cab then cutting it to length for my truck.
Video Instructions are great, the steps in the other hand are not so great. They have no delay for opening back door then front door and they are noisy
Just purchased the E Boards from RC. Having a problem with the install and called customer service for help. The gentleman I spoke with could not help with the problem so he called me a Fuc… Ahole. Very disappointed in the service from RC!

Great Video, only took me 3hrs and everything looks great. 2015 F-150
Great to hear!
This video is extremely helpful. I just installed these on a 2019 f150 using this video. There was some minor differences but extremely helpful!

This video is better than the instructions. 👍
You sir are OUTSTANDING. Thank you WRY much! That tip for olacing the sensors was top notch!

After watching this install it made my decision to buy Amp Research steps muuuch easier for install purposes!
This is perfect timing, I'm installing these on my '18 Sierra right now.
i’m thinking about buying these for my same sierra how have the e boards been for you
yeah how has the e boards been?

This is incredibly helpful for install.

Good video. I’m installing these on my Bronco today.
Question 🙋♂️ why magnetic triggers vice hardwire in like AMP boards do?
I need something like this for my high country
Finger tight, but use the ratchet lol
Easy Peezy that looks pretty simple to install. Thank you.

Do one for an f150

Holy cow! Install is hectic, at this point made up my mind to buy the AMP Research steps instead 😅
It’s not hard to install at all. Just did mine and took 3 hours. It’s a great product
That's hectic to you? Lol maybe you need a Prius bud.
@@louiejimenez360 I’ll take a Prius any day! 😅 and still put steps on it just for you

The AMP steps are almost identical in installation and cost more. 😂
Were do you get just the wireing harness and the other accessories i already have the boards and motors
Any options for a 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Base Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door 6.6L Diesel?
Can I grab the power to run them from an upfitter switch on my ford f250 and eliminate the valet switch?
Do you have a link for just the harness and accessories
Really wish these didnt have magnets for triggers. I dont want wires seen in my door jambs. Why no OBDII connection like the competitor?
Is the installation the same for the 2024 Silverado 2500? Also, on a stock 4wd, what is the deployed height from the ground? TIA
Do you make some that fit older trucks (Chevy)2002 Tahoe/Avalanche
I am thinking about getting these for a 2003 and trying it.

How hard is it on the magnet wire harness to shove the weather strip over it? I want this kit and that's probably my only concern.
I was wondering about that pinching that wire over time. I think when I install mine I’ll probably try to add some cushioning between the truck body and the wiring.
What size lift do you have on the truck?
Are these available for a 2024 z71 Tahoe?
Can u customize it for a reg cab
Why can you wire it to the doors switch

I’m having the same issue. Did you get a response?

What's the vallet button do?
Allows you to deactivate the power running boards if you want to do so

I guess we don't get to see the battery connection
Bd, este video recomiendo sino lo tienen en español, al menos subtitulado, gracias.
amps steps it is. This is 2 much work but i like the steps
Video Instructions are great, the steps in the other hand are not so great. They have no delay for opening back door then front door and they are noisy
I really don’t like the magnet trigging system…
Other companies offer a ODB plug in in order to control that function ..
My only gripe is the weight capacity
Just purchased the E Boards from RC. Having a problem with the install and called customer service for help. The gentleman I spoke with could not help with the problem so he called me a Fuc… Ahole. Very disappointed in the service from RC!
😂😂😂
Nice!
He should be reprimanded and taught a lesson about professionalism RC needs do some housework
Finger tight, but use the ratchet lol
Way more complicated installation than the AMP steps
These triggers need to be Bluetooth. Just a battery connector and done. Everything else with todays tech can be eliminated
magnets look lame
