    4:40 Summary & Outro
Trogons are colorful birds that are usually quite easy to spot as they sit calmly for long periods of time on branches in forests and gardens. There are 9 species of trogons in Costa Rica, and while one of them, the Resplendent Quetzal, is pretty much unmistakable, unfamiliar observers might struggle to distinguish between some of the other similarly plumaged species. Case in point: I stumbled across quite a few misidentifications on my image search online. But, fear not: Trogon Identification is actually quite simple! There are a few features to pay attention to and a few field marks to learn, but watch this video and you'll be an expert in Trogon Identification in no time!

Woohooo...again my favourite (okay...beside the Toucans) birds of Costa Rica in a great and so much informative video. Thanks so much for sharing!

Unfortunately, Toucan ID is too easy to warrant a video 😅
But I'm sure they'll show up in one way or another very soon! Thanks for the kind words and for watching :)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Hummingbirds are a great idea, I'll definitely do one! Well, with 50 or so species, I'll probably have to do an entire series :)

Hi--great videos in the channel! I'm going to Playa Conchal in December. Do you recommend any guides for day trips from that area? Thanks!

Hi! Welcome and thanks for the kind words and for stopping by :) Great question! Off the top of my head, I do know an excellent guide for Palo Verde, and I think that can be quite feasible from Conchal as a day trip if you’re willing to suffer a tiny bit. Let me think a bit about other options. If you’d like, feel free to drop me a direct message on one of the socials in the profile or a mail on info@jabiru-clothing.com
