Just incase people are reading comments and still can't get WiFi to work I tried something completely different..... I plugged my phone into the pc just to charge it and remembered tethering is good enough to connect your pc to the Internet.... then armoury crate just popped up for me and I was able to download the drivers 😂 I really do hope I helped atleast somebody out as I struggled alot myself...... and great video my man you helped my friend who recommended this video to me also.... peace and love everyone
This worked for me wonders! Very easy to do and like you said once connected it pops up instantly armoury crate to start downloading for all the drives! Ace tip and work on this!
I'm struggling with this now, I installed the wifi driver and went through the motions. It says the download was successful, but I still dont have wifi ad cant seem to find/connect to it
Is it possible to force back the initial armory crate download pop up that i got by installing my new rog b550 f mobo? Because i accidentally skipped it and now i cant connect to my wifi since i dont have the drivers installed. And without wifi I can’t install armory crate or nothing. Wish i didnt skip that!
LOL bro, just built a PC after a decade and my first thought was "I cant believe drivers dont work out of the box still". LAN still not working but your PSU off/on method works for my WiFi on the B550-XE mobo. Thank you, now I just need to figure out the LAN bug.

Bruh, I tried system restore, updating the drivers, everything and all I had to do was flick the power switch 🤦🏻♀️ My issue was my mobo wasn’t detecting the Ethernet cable and wasn’t lighting up. I power cycled it and it came back. I wish I had thought of that in the beginning lol.
You just saved my life. I've got my self a new motherboard 4 days ago and couldn't get the wifi running at all, I was going mad. I even asked Asus support services and they told me that it is an hardware issue and I should get a new one.. Thank you for this video
Unplugging the PSU is what saved the day. I exhausted all possible options to troubleshoot the WIFI problem and nothing worked until I unplugged the power completely and turned the button in the back off. Thank you so much!

For anyone struggling I was able to use a normal Wi-Fi usb stick and was able to use that to connect and download the drivers. It is beyond asinine that some Random usb worked but the one built directly into the mother board did not
When I run as administrator on the install file on the USB on my new computer it opens command prompt and closes right away, It doesn’t do anything. I’m so lost
Thanks. I had to look up the specific motherboard on the Asus site but you do indeed need drivers to connect to the wifi. The old you need the internet to connect to the internet loop. You'd think they'd come preloaded. Oh well, thanks!
I just recently purchased the strix z690e motherboard set up my new pc and my land and my Wi-Fi does not show on the taskbar or anything so what I did was use the cd ROM that came with the motherboard and it didn't work. I restarted the computer and nothing happened. I then got on the website and downloaded to a thumb drive and installed the drivers for my lan line and Wifi and still nothing I'm at work right now I'm going home and I'm going to power it off and see what happens because if nothing happens I'm thinking it's the motherboard. I've tried every little procedure I've even checked the ethernet cable and it worked so frustrated I need that to update all my drivers and get my PC going. I've done a lot of this in my life but never struggled so much just to get everything working LOL hopefully it works
Any idea how to fix lan speeds randomly reverting back to 100mbps :| and sometimes internet just cutting for 10s or so and then returning. It's getting frustrating T_T
does this work for BT or is that separate? ALSO, I think I am dumb bc for me I have nothing to download it just has it say that the file is renamed and that is it
in 2023 there is no wireless download option EDIT: I was looking at the non-wifi version of the B550-F. Follow the link rango posted to take you to the correct driver.

You need the wireless driver for the antenna to work out of the box, you will need a usb and a secondary computer to get the driver. Drivers are in the video bio.

@@de_cruiser1337 I have already solved it, I had to download the Chipset driver, run it, reboot, reinstall it, but this time without rebooting and when I did that it already appeared in the device manager. Once I saw it I only had to install the LAN and WiFi drivers. Thank you very much for your help

@@tomasolivera3311 never mind, I did fix it, by entering bios and then I searched for LAN after that I found option saying LAN something and I just enabled it as soon as I done it and exit when i got to startup i was connected to LAN Ethernet cable and I did got my wifi along with Bluetooth. However thanks for tutorial anyway and btw im using Asus B550 - F gaming wifi II
idk if it will work for you but I have a b550-f and I was having similar issues not being able to connect via ethernet My solution to the problem was through my BIOS settings I have an amd but there is a setting called "Intel Lan (something or other...)" I thought it was something for intel products and flipped it to enable and was able to connect via ethernet. It worked for me hope it helps someone
@@maiz3558 I could only resolve the issue setting the speed on windows to 100/100 mbps. If you set to Gigabit, the ethernet wont connect. Maybe there is something on the BIOS to fix the gigabit connection, but I hadnt found
this issue I had too. I disabled onboard devices via bios and installed a wifi card. then the actual problem identified itself. OLD CRAPPY POWER SUPPLY!!!!. Just one of the problems when upgrading system and keeping older parts.
I accidentally downloaded the LAN drivers from the asus website and now I'm trying to uninstall it but I can't find it. Where do I go to find that LAN driver so I can uninstall it so I can install it through armory crate... please help, I can find no answers anywhere. thank you.

So I realize this one isn’t exactly the same mobo. But he cannot get his Wi-Fi adapter to even show up. He runs the driver install batch file as administrator and a little cmd window shows up briefly and disappears. Yet device driver says the Wi-Fi adapter isn’t connected. It’s literally connected by two screws on the back. Any help?

I also have the LAN problem, already installed the drivers but when I connect the LAN cable nothing happens on windows.
@@ricardomartins4384 once I got the wifi working I let the drivers update and it got the LAN drivers too. All works now.

@@imshafay I didn't fix it, I just disabled LAN drivers on the BIOS (it wasn't working) and bought a usb-c to LAN adapter and it works now.

When I try to run the AsusSetup on the pc for the wireless driver. I run as admin and click yes to allow changes and it just goes away?

I downloaded the drivers restarted and turned the psu switch off and I even pulled the cord and my LAN didn’t connect
For me just loading the Armory crate then letting it download and install the drivers fixed it.
Armoury crate starts downloading LAN, then stops and freezes at 46%

consider bypassing your NIC (ethernet port) with a USB to ethernet adapter. It's what I had to do with my other build I used this motherboard with!

you could try running an sfc scan, maybe its a windows issue if its not opening it.

Device manager < network adapters < select your ethernet, right click and uninstall the driver.
