- I am using a Pork loin to make Canadian Bacon. I trim all the fat off for a lean Canadian Bacon.
Ingredients: Pork loin (this one weighed 1259g) approx 2.776 lbs
Granulated Sugar: (3% of the meat weight)
Non iodize Salt: (3% of the meat weight)
Pink Salt Cure#1: ( .25 x the weight of the sugar, salt, and Pork
Loin combined).

Now that's some delicious looking Canadian bacon, Charley! I need to try making me some!👍😋😋😋
Thank you, Kevin! This was a really basic recipe of salt, sugar and curing salt and it turned out delicious! Give it a try! Easy to make. Have a great day brother!👍
I can't make it,..I am not a Canadian! LOL It has never even crossed my mind to make it to be honest. So this is a first for me to see made. Hey they aren't perfectly round like the ones from the store? (THRUTH TIME: I know one doesn't have to be a Canadian to make it, and perfectly round is not better! ) Great one! God Bless! I really need to do this, not just saying it either!
Well, I'm not Canadian either...and you live closer to the Canadian border than I do, so that should help...lol. It is very easy to make. The hardest part is waiting 7 days while it cures in the refrigerator. Give it a try and I believe you will like it... even though it's not completely round...lol. Thank you for stopping by and watching! God Bless!
