Earl’s infatuated with Daniel & goes Berserk when he leaves him at home with Dejay. She put out a TH-cam Short video of Earl just constantly howling like a wolf. Looking out the window Howling in the direction Daniel left without him. According to Dejay that Dog is stressed to the limit when Daniel leaves without him 😂. I’m curious to know if he does that constantly when they board him when they go on trips/Vacation ? If I was their boarder & He done that constantly for a week- two weeks while they traveled.... I’d say don’t bring him back or tell them I’ll be forced to muzzle him to keep him from stressing out all the other dogs in my care.
Just going on Dejay saying he’ll howl constantly until Daniel comes back home. Sounds like it’s time to buy a dog muzzle and slip on him when Daniel leaves home to give Dejay some piece & quiet until Daniel comes back.
Poor Fella, I can understand that stress of being felt left all alone....If it was coming from a dog that was dumped/abandoned by a previous owner. But they’ve had Earl since he was a puppy, so it’s nothing like that he’s just infatuated 🥰 with Daniel 😂. If U hadn’t seen him do this stress howling as he looks out the window for Daniel !??
Then go to Dejays channel “Do Your Best” & go to her videos or her Shorts videos and find the one of Earl Howling. I’ve heard them say when Daniel is home Earl only wants to sit in Daniels lap not Dejays. But he was bought as a puppy to be Dejays Dog 🐕. But he bonded with Daniel most I’d say and Earl’s made it clear he’s Daniels Dog!!!

A tired dog is a GOOD dog. Let that boy Earl run to his little heart's content. That's what God made him to do. He's a lucky boy to have all that open space to run/play/follow his people around in, and to have ponds to cool off and drink from.
Great seeing the boys having time together, to just be boys outdoors.

I have 10 year old twins and Houston has the same little attitude and competitive but sourpus talk as mine. I like the way Daniel redirects and handles it- while keeping spirits high. It drives me bonkers here. Kids wheww😂
Me too. Houston is spoiled beyond spoiled being the baby of the family. But all in all, he seems pretty cool.
It is going to be a lot of fun watching you work on that property, there will probably be lots of projects over the next few years.

You could take a few goats over to the new property to help clean it up. Might have to stake them out and move them every day or so, or maybe put up temporary pens.
Those boys are so competitive! I love it! My kids grew up with cousins and they were that way!

Looks like it could be a great deer hunting place for several lodges with their own fishing holes. Beautiful place to have rentals🎉
So very happy and excited for y'll. I see many many memories being made at the new properties'. We lived for 30 years in Florida and growing up hunting and eating the moral missed them greatly. We found a place out of Michigan that had them freeze dried and after working with them a couple of time at rehydrating them they were great. Be sure to use cold water and keep your hands on them as they will hydrate quickly. They were great but nothing like fresh.

Thank you for taking us along on a tour of the new property. The high deer stand would be a great location to shoot out of once you get the field cleared of the dreaded cedar trees. I don't think you've shown the freeze dryer before. That's a pretty neat thing to have! Let us know how the morels turn out when you prepare them!

Well Earl is definitely an adventure dog and not a pretty indoor kept guy. Loved watching those boys hunting mushrooms. Awesome having that much land now, excited for your family.
Up here in Northern Michigan, we have 3 different varieties of morel mushrooms, black, grey, and then white ones. My husband and I dry them, then use them in soups and stews.
So much potential. Can't wait to see what you do with the new additions.

Probably could have more morel mushrooms, if you start trapping those pigs again. They eat a lot of fungus, such as mushrooms and truffles…
If you had longhorns that is the kind of land they thrive on especially tree leaves and vines that why Lester has longhorns they thrive on that kind of land. Paster land , brambles and tree leaves. They are kinda like a big goat

My MIL dried morels by stringing them on kitchen string and hanging them to dry. Then she would reconstitute them in water, split them open,Pat them dry and cook them just like you do fresh ones
so nice to have that extra land. Mushrooms look yummy. God bless you all.

That property has a lot of potential for great hunting when all those cedars are gone. Red and dutch clover, Whitetail Institute Beets & Greens Deer Food Plot Seed for Fall Planting - Blend of Sugar Beets, Kale, Turnip and Radish to Attract and Hold Deer, winter rye and some apple trees and chesnut trees planted near water. The deer would flock to the property for sure.

Some good things about cedar trees is they give oxygen, they also make great shelter for birds, and wildlife. The trees make a great wind breaks, they are awesome dust catchers. They give shade, they also make a great place for birds to build a nest, and raise their young.
Earl is certainly a happy puppy !! I would like to try that freeze drying - especially with apples. Sure looks good !! Enjoyed your quick tour of your new property. You're gonna have LOTS of work ahead of you - or should I say, Western is going to have a lot to keep him occupied !!

When we pick mushrooms we cut them so the roots don't get damaged and we use a netted sack so when your walking around little spores fall on the ground to help spread them more.......
I love watching these boys on adventures. I’m afraid I would get some poison ivy doing that. But it doesn’t seem to bother them😊
Earl's getting in the water exactly like Bella used to do. Bella taught him well.
Have you thought about taking the goats over there and letting them graze. I bet they could clean off some of that ptoperty.
Once you get rid of the crap cedar trees. Maybe you could get some native tree seedlings/seeds & plant them around the property. Preferably ones that will help the native animals with food & maybe provide you some nice wood years later.
It would also be nice if you seed bombed the meadows with some native grasses & wildflowers. Just an idea for you.
I think a forestry mulcher would be your best bet to clear some of that land.
after you clean that up, you can fence it and bring the donkeys ad goats over for a summer of grazing and let your homestead grow back up from over grazing
