Lectron Tesla to J1772 Adapter - Charge Any EV from a Tesla Destination Charger

Tesla has the best EV charging infrastructure. Unfortunately, their SuperCharger network is off-limits to non-Tesla BEVs, it is possible to leverage Level 2 Tesla Destination Chargers via a Tesla to J1772 like this 48A from Lectron.

I think if one buys the 48a adaptor, you can use it on a lower amp car. I believe it will accept up to 48amps and if a car uses 30amps, it will work. Correct?

Yes. This would be fine with 48A or lower.

Hello, the place I live (the landlord) have a NEMA 14-30 dryer outlet, can I use the Tesla Mobile Connector combine with its NEMA Adapter Bundle and Lectron Tesla to J1772 Adapter to charge Mach E?

Thanks for your comment. Level 2 NACS (Tesla) EVSE provide AC to the car. This adapter does not support DC NACS chargers.

Thanks, hows the fit and finish? The Tesla mini is quite expensive. Imho I think it good to have for emergency use.

As far as theft. Does your vehicle not lock the plug in place? On my Hyundai Kona, no one can remove my plug unless I unlock the car or if my car is finished charging.

@@njm203 The Mach-E does not do that for L2. Even for L3, anyone can push the button next to the CCS port and unlock it.

Hi, If I buy this product can I take my mach-e to a super charging tesla station, and charge my car faster?, or only works with the charging tesla stations?

Unfortunately, this is L2 Tesla Destination Chargers (the kind you see at hotels and parking garages) only. AFAIK, there are no Telsa to CCS adapters (what we would need to use the Supercharger network). Crossing my fingers that someone makes one really soon :).
