My local airport when I'm back from Vietnam visiting Mother dearest. The Shorts 360 trip from BHD to NCL to see my Dad was an experience I can tell you. I'm not even sure it was pressured properly. They were made not far away too. Good memories on Gill Air a free bar service serving the youngsters 😊 Keep er lit Pete ❤
What about the poor engineers having to work in that spare a thought for us guys 😂😂love the content would love to see one on the guys and girls who keep them flying
I will forever regret not taking the time to make a trip on a Flybe Dash 8 to somewhere, anywhere! Always enjoyed watching the pilots skilfully land the Dash 8 in challenging conditions, awesome little jets with a lovely livery. RIP Flybe
Great airport for spotting, we usually wait a bit at the top of the IKEA car park to watch planes land. Better still in Victoria Park, planes that come in over the city fly right over, great bit of a view of the belly of planes landing.
@@PetetheIrishPilot It keeps getting better, it’s the commitment from all involved. I wish every transport industry (or any industry for that matter) had that drive and the resources for continuous improvement. It pays off in the long term. Morally and economically. I’d rather be at 30,000 ft with a trained pilot than in an UBER taxi.
If a landing could become unsafe the pilots go around. If a flight could become unsafe the pilots land. If a flight becomes unsafe, years of intelligence, expertise, training, experience, policies, procedures, team working ALL come together to ensure a safe outcome….and landing. It is indeed amazing how few accidents there are. A testament to the industry’s dedication and commitment to safety from the ground up (literally).
@ Everytime I tell my father that I’m flying into the “Harbour” he asks me what time so he can put Bangor Lifeboat on standby! And then corrects me 😁 Thanks for your videos Pete. Ian
Loved coming in and hearing the “22 at the City” in a strong local accent. Best airport for turn arounds that I’ve ever flown into.
That KLM landing was stupidly smooth
It was an incredible day 😍 great commentary 😁
Excellent narration and analysis. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! P🍀
All those landings were sweet!🥰
I like the level of detail such as the disaligned paint on the radom. Very well spotted

It's amazing how few air accidents there are (thank God). Every landing looks like it could go either way.
Safest form of travel on or over the planet. P🍀

Last time I bounced that much was at my kids birthday party
It will always be Belfast Harbour Airport or Sydenham to me
Ditto. Thanks for sharing. P🍀
“Belfast Harbour”, not too many folk left still call it that.
Still has BHD for its IATA code though.
Thanks Pete,
Ian
Stands for Belfast Harbour, (Co) Down.
@ I never knew that, thanks.
I always presumed it was Belfast Harbour Docks.
Everyday is a school day👍🏼
Ian
No worries. Always Sydenham or Belfast Harbour to me. P🍀
