I always love watching your videos Nat. My mom and grandma was born and raised in LP and I’m going for the first time in Dec. It will truly be a dream come true for me!
Wow that is wonderful! I am sure you will enjoy it. December will be busy but nice temperature. Thanks a lot for watching my contents. Welcome home soon🙂
Thank you, Nat, for showing us all your favorite places around town. I'm craving some chicken stir fry now, lol. I love how walkable Luang Prabang is. Everything you need is very close by. Also, you are doing an amazing job promoting Laos. In my opinion, your channel is one of the best. It's so full of authenticity. I agree that politics and other negativity need to stay off limits. So please don't feel obligated to explain yourself when you need to keep your space positive. We definitely want you to keep making videos for the long term. ❤🙏😊
Thank you for your kind words. I'm flattered😊. I'm very grateful to have this opportunity to do what I love doing. And having my audiences such yourself supporting me behind is definitely a huge inspiration. Thank you so much😊😊🙏🙏
Thankyou for your tour, very informative, a great range of accomodation and your plate of food looked very appetising . You are a great ambassador for Laos and admire your love of people, culture and religion..
Luang Prabang is a very small town. But it's growing in popularity. As you can see, rich people mainly expats are building their mansions there. Look at the last few videos. But I love the French colonial architecture. It has a European feel.
Hi! Please do more about Luang Prabang. I like more place that’s a must go places. We don’t mind if it’s 2 hours drive. Shopping for traditional sinh and good location to stay. Thank you.
I really love this walking tour you did, Nat! This will come in very handy for people like me who would love to visit Luang Prabang very soon! Well done! Keep it up brother!
Luang Prabanng is a French colonial architecture town. It reminds me of Europe. Laos was once part of France empire. But it won independence in 1953. As you can see, many people are moving to Luang Prabang from around the world. The town will be growing very fast in the next few years.
Hi sir, you provide useful information. I am a Lao from Vientiane. In terms of where to stay in LBP, I had a very bad experience back on Feb. 1st, 2014 coming from Xieng Kwang with my family. I didn't reserve a room in LPB then and when got there every single GH was occupied except some rooms in high-price hotels. We found that there was a sort of festival involving a lot of Chinese tourists, that's why. As we couldn't get rooms we all had to sleep in the cars (luckily we got 2 cars).
Oh no, that's annoying. I guess that in February is Chinese New Year, so it's even more busy than the peak season itself in some year. And the price is higher. And yes, accommodations can be booked up. I hope you'll come back to Luang Prabang with a better experience next time.
Good afternoon Nat, i watched part of your video you did on the train from Bangkok to Vientiane. One question is there anywhere on the trian that one can smoke? Another great video. Ever since I watched one of your Videos I just cant wait to visit your beautiful country. Stuck in Thailand and just waiting to see if the weather will get better in Laung Prabang. Hopefully it is starting to improve. I spoke with a coupke who are just back and they said the weather was ok some rain but it shouldn't cause any problems.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you liked my work. "Where can you smoke on the train" that's a good question. To be honest I don't really know. I suppose that people smoke in the toilet or by the joint where the two carriages connected? And the funny thing is I haven't seen anyone smoking throughout the entire journey. Anyway these days Luang Prabang is having too much rain. Maybe wait till two weeks when the weather improves.
Hi Nat, your videos are grand and smart. I have booked another 4 days in Pattaya and then heading to Paung Prabang no matter what the weather is like. Flying in on Sunday can you please recommend a good hotel please. Love your videos. If you are there still I would love to meet up for a coffee and steal all your valuable information on the place.
Hello, thank you so much for all of your incredible videos. I really appreciate them. I have a question. I will be visiting Luang Prabang from the USA and you mentioned that this gold shop has a better exchange rate than a bank. Do you know about how much better the exchange rate is? For example if I want to exchange $400 USD for KIP, how much would I save about? Thanks!
Hi, the standard exchange rate these days is at 22,000 per $ 1, where at the Gold shop, they give 23,000/1$. Which is not a lot compared to before. They used to give 25,000/1$. The inflation is stable now.
Hey Bro, is there any new Visa relax policy by Laos government to attract tourist. I saw they have issued Visa Free on Arrival for Sri lankan passports.is it true. Any place I can check it to ensure accuracy. We plan to come Laos in Nov end
Anybody knows how to get long stay visa for retirees? I heard every three months you have to cross border to get your visa extended. That's very inconvenient.
As far as I know you have to leave the country every three months. Do consider joining a Facebook Group called"Vientiane Social" there are many expats who live in Laos for a long time. They may be able to give you some information.
As a foreign men with a long term, serious lao girlfriend, I understand that law. Even for us who have serious intentions, it can be a bit annoying to pay around 3k usd to get married + a huge dowry. Thats why still not married after 7 years being together. We live in laos in a bigger city, but whenever we visit her very rural hometown, I just tip the district police 😃💸 unfortunately human trafficking still happens, mostly to thailand. Thai men come over, visit villages and looking for poor village girls. Looks like thai men are full of thai women already. I even know a lao youtuber who would set up village girls with thai men.. its terrible. The problem is also the attitude of many thai man towards lao women, they think their nation is much better
Wow! I didn't know that the cost to get the marriage certificate has gone up that much. With that cost I probably won't be getting married anytime soon😬. It is truly sad with what's happening. I hope more Lao girls are aware of the danger.
@@natnomad agency prices vary between 3k to 5k usd to get officially married with a lao citizen & get a marriage certificate. Lots of bribes involved at every stage (ban, mueang, kweng, mofa). My pleasure. We have Food Panda in Laos. Just to let you know that the delivery can be very slow here.

The water level is very high now. by the time you arrive, it should be lower, hopefully.
