    Not surprised it performed flawlessly. The M&P was designed to be a 40 cal gun. Would love to see it stamped .357 Sig again too. But for now conversion barrels will suffice.😎

      @@JuanGonzalez-cl4md most 10mm is 40 unless you reload or buy topshelf. Gun selection is very limited. If Sig made a P225 1.5stack in 40/357 I'd buy 2.

    I carried a 9mm for 34 years in LE, with a short 6 year “in between” stint with a .45 ACP in the middle of that overall time period. Now retired, I’m a .40 guy. I just love the bigger felt “OMPF” from the 40. It just hits harder than 9mm and allows for more carry ammo than a .45.

    Nice video. I bought this gun last summer when it came out and love it. It is pricey but definitely has a premium look and feel to it. To me the break on the trigger is a little further back than I’m used to, that could be for safety purposes though.
    For anyone wondering though (and as mentioned in the video), this gun handles recoil VERY well IMO. Most loads feel like barely more than a 9. Due to this I lean toward the hotter stuff when I buy ammo for it.

    • @theturkeysopinion
      @theturkeysopinion  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      That's what so many people don't understand about ten. It doesn't always have to be nuclear. It can be nine millimeter or nucular and anything in between. Most gun and ammo companies cannot seem to wrap their head around this either. Even though colt figured it out with the delta elite. The recoil spring handles all loads. At least mine could have more chamber support but does well. Springfield knocked it out of the park with the XDM elite OSPs.... They eat anything and everything With the exception of sometimes not liking ridiculously heavy 230gr hardcast Because they do not feed at that COL.

    After starting shooting in 2018 I've bought Rugers, a P365, a P365XL, then a Shield Plus PC 4" ported barrel, & a 3.1" Shield Plus. I've had both of the P365's repaired by Sig 3 times EACH, & my 4" Shield Plus repaired twice by S&W. I trust the Shield's more as when they give problems they continue to shoot, unlike my P365XL with 2 dead triggers. I wore out my P365 with less than 10,000 rounds where Sig replaced the barrel, slide, & extractor. But to be fair, I have shot the Sigs more, but enough to know I won't be buying another one. I was so impressed with the Shield Plus 4" ported pistol I went out & bought the 3.1" model. Then bought a True Precision 3.6" threaded barrel & a mini-comp. I love the Shields as there us no need to upgrade anything on them, unlike my Sigs with aftermarket grip modules, triggers, & sights (I prefer fiber optic over Sigs day/night sights).

    I've been a 40s&w guy since the 90's and I also love 357sig. If you have me choose between a gun that's chambered 9mm or the same gun chambered in 40s&w, I'll always pick the 40s&w.
    With a 40s&w you have the ability to swap between calibers by just switching barrels.
    BTW 40s&w never went away, it became today's 10mm. Don't get me wrong, I like 10mm but some of the factory loading ammunition nowadays is shameful. They are so weak that they are practically a long case 40s&w, not even close to a true 10mm.

      Oh .....well....ughh......hmmm....
      There must be a way. You have to have an excuse somewhere. Go through the checklist.
      1.) Do you have a car gun ( Extra in case you forget to put one in your holster )
      2.) Do you have a bathroom/shower gun?
      3.) Do you have a kitchen gun?
      4.) Do you have one just for the weekends?
      5.) Don't forget. You should have one with a red dot and one without....

      My Smith and Wesson 10 mm, runs just fine. The 2.0 the problem is they're using a 17 pound spring in the gun, which allows the slide to move too fast because the magazine Springs are also weak. I put a twenty two pound recoil spring on the gun and I used upgraded magazine springs, i haven't had a single failure to feed in over 500 rounds. I use it as a carry gun. Keep in mind.It is the 4.6 inch not the 4 which probably has the same problem. I'm not telling you what to do with your firearm. I'm not a gunsmith.I do not have a license to be a gunsmith have to include that disclosure lol

    • @licensetochill79
      @licensetochill79 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's because the manufacturing, it's cheaper.To make nine millimeter, think about it If the factory could pump out nine millimeter and do not need to change their dyes and their presses, hey make more money because the change over takes time

    • @SCH292
      @SCH292 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      In my view these are what I'm thinking about those calibers...
      When come to "new firearms" for .40 or .357 sig there are likely 0 NEW firearms are coming out. When talking about "ammo" production the ammo factories might crank out say...This ammo factory crank out 100,000 rounds of 9mm 115 grain FMJ every week but when come to the .40 this factory might crank out..maybe 50,000 rounds 160 grain FMJ or so per week.
      Now lets move on to "improving" the ballistic or something. Factories and researchers are likely to focus on 9mm to improve it. Once a while you come across some gimmick 9mm 90 grain soft point or something but when come to .40 or .357 you never see any sort of gimmick load.

    • @theturkeysopinion
      @theturkeysopinion  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @markcapps6716
      .40 s&w and .357 sig are on thin ice IMO. It may take a while but the .357 sig is already becoming a hard to obtain item. Limited factory loadings from larger companies and sometimes questionable loadings from specialty companies. Sig won't even make a .357sig gun anymore and that is 1000% assanine. Glock is the only real option left for major brand offerings (thank Glock for once lol). 40 is following the same trend. At the same time 10mm is boucing back up from an almost total fall to the bottom. Again , thank Glock for keeping it on life support as well as the 1911 world. I think weird enough we can also thank the Call of Duty-ish crowd too for bringing back the Idea of major handgun power (10mm in particular.) That interest drove companies to try to capitalize on it. Glad they have.
      Now, lets see what might bring .40 back to life a bit.
      Texas Church defender used a .357sig and that helped it a bit ( Unforeseen )
      And supposedly stealth arms will be offering the Platypus 2011 in .357sig. We will see if it actually happens.
      Sorry for the book but it was a great question.👍👍👍👊🦃
