@theturkeysopinion I saw the same stop on your M&P 2.0 .45. My Shield 2.0 has it as well. On second look, it's more of a roll than the pin I thought it was.
I've been waiting on a different model of the METAL. Be it 40 or 45 or 357Sig (one has to hope). I may pick one of these up in 40. My preferred round for handguns. Barrel/Mag swap away from 9mm, 40, or 357Sig. Love it. I also have PTSD from the 10mm...Man...mine suckkkkkkkked. Finally got it going ok with alot of elbow grease and an APEX extractor. But yeah, I couldn't/wouldn't wanna go thru all that again.
Is it just me or does the back of the trigger housing on the Metal appear to be more beveled out than the 1.0 and 2.0 Poly. Somewhat similar to some 1911 frames. Maybe it is just more visible on the Metal. S&W will be talking about your "Good Job - Thumbs up" review at their Christmas party. Now, if we can just get in 10mm.
I can see it happening IF this sells. But they are not even beginning to advertise this gun. 🤷♂️ It's like all or nothing with these companies and how they market. Do you have a car gun ( Extra in case you forget to put one in your holster ) 2.) Do you have a bathroom/shower gun? 3.) Do you have a kitchen gun? 4.) Do you have one just for the weekends? 5.) Don't forget. You should have one with a red dot and one without.... I hope this helps!👍🦃👊😎
My Smith and Wesson 10 mm, runs just fine. The 2.0 the problem is they're using a 17 pound spring in the gun, which allows the slide to move too fast because the magazine Springs are also weak. I put a twenty two pound recoil spring on the gun and I used upgraded magazine springs, i haven't had a single failure to feed in over 500 rounds. I use it as a carry gun. Keep in mind.It is the 4.6 inch not the 4 which probably has the same problem. I'm not telling you what to do with your firearm. I'm not a gunsmith.I do not have a license to be a gunsmith have to include that disclosure lol
@@InvidiousIgnoramus i do get that, but I want my slide to match the caliber. That I am firing and fire.Arm manufacturers mark the slide for the caliber
I really like/prefer the .40, but I am not a fan of the metal framed offerings. Bring back the 3.6" .40 w/ a plate & manual safety and I'm in. If that came with a manual safety option I would consider it.
It's because the manufacturing, it's cheaper. To make nine millimeter, think about it If the factory could pump out nine millimeter and do not need to change their dyes and their presses, hey make more money because the change over takes time
In my view these are what I'm thinking about those calibers... When come to "new firearms" for .40 or .357 sig there are likely 0 NEW firearms are coming out. When talking about "ammo" production the ammo factories might crank out say...This ammo factory crank out 100,000 rounds of 9mm 115 grain FMJ every week but when come to the .40 this factory might crank out..maybe 50,000 rounds 160 grain FMJ or so per week. Now lets move on to "improving" the ballistic or something. Factories and researchers are likely to focus on 9mm to improve it. Once a while you come across some gimmick 9mm 90 grain soft point or something but when come to .40 or .357 you never see any sort of gimmick load.
@markcapps6716 .40 s&w and .357 sig are on thin ice IMO. It may take a while but the .357 sig is already becoming a hard to obtain item. Limited factory loadings from larger companies and sometimes questionable loadings from specialty companies. Sig won't even make a .357sig gun anymore and that is 1000% assanine. Glock is the only real option left for major brand offerings (thank Glock for once lol). 40 is following the same trend. At the same time 10mm is boucing back up from an almost total fall to the bottom. Again , thank Glock for keeping it on life support as well as the 1911 world. I think weird enough we can also thank the Call of Duty-ish crowd too for bringing back the Idea of major handgun power (10mm in particular.) That interest drove companies to try to capitalize on it. Glad they have. Now, lets see what might bring .40 back to life a bit. Texas Church defender used a .357sig and that helped it a bit ( Unforeseen ) And supposedly stealth arms will be offering the Platypus 2011 in .357sig. We will see if it actually happens. And while I did not receive training myself, I was asked to train the Lovely LtJG for her SAQ, as her FitRep was due and firearms were a weak point.
Not after my instruction.
I Love Leather Weapon👍🦃👊
I'm surprised it didn't come out with a comp option as felt recoil being one of the most common complaints about 40.
I have this pistol as well, purchased it and also made a little video about it back at the end of June/beginning of July when it first got released. Due to its size and weight it handles recoil very well. I’d say it kicks barely more than a 9mm. Due to how it handles recoil I try to purchase the hotter rounds when I buy ammo for it.
When I had to buy a new weapon for work I was looking at those but the $900 price tag put me off. I bought a used XDM .40 instead.
Well, I bet you are still in fine shape! These are a little spendy!👍🦃👊
I have an older Pro Series 40SW 4.25" and it shoots everything reliably
I've wanted one of those but never picked one up.👍👍👍🦃👊
Success!
Yes!👍👍🦃👊
I have an M&P 2.0 PC C.O.R.E. in 40S&W. It has a kind of pin for overtravel stop.
Good info! Thanks!👍🦃👊
@theturkeysopinion I saw the same stop on your M&P 2.0 .45.
But yeah, I couldn't/wouldn't wanna go thru all that again.
thanks for video, how does recoil compare to 1.0 and 2.0?
Is it just me or does the back of the trigger housing on the Metal appear to be more beveled out than the 1.0 and 2.0 Poly. Somewhat similar to some 1911 frames. Maybe it is just more visible on the Metal. S&W will be talking about your "Good Job - Thumbs up" review at their Christmas party. Now, if we can just get in 10mm.
I wish Glock would try a metal frame ,… it would be neat to see
I'm hoping they come out with a carry comp (I know you don't like them). But they have the carry comp metal in 9mm. I'm hoping....
I can see it happening IF this sells. But they are not even beginning to advertise this gun. 🤷♂️ It's like all or nothing with these companies and how they market.
FPC and This have .01% of the coverage their 9mm counterparts got. I think that's strategic. Everything happens for a reason.🤔....
Thanks for checking it out TBP!
Oh, and yeah....no comps for me lol. Only Tank Brakes on Revolvers!💪💪💪😄👍👊😎🦃
@@theturkeysopinion LOL tank brakes. That FPC looks to be hot garbage. Wish it wasn't and they had actually taken the time to design it to be shootable. LOL
I want one so bad! I just have 3 2.0s so it's hard to justify another.
Oh .....well....ughh......hmmm....
There must be a way. You have to have an excuse somewhere. Go through the checklist.
1.) Do you have a car gun ( Extra in case you forget to put one in your holster )
2.) Do you have a bathroom/shower gun?
3.) Do you have a kitchen gun?
4.) Do you have one just for the weekends?
5.) Don't forget. You should have one with a red dot and one without....
I hope this helps!👍🦃👊😎
BigO difference to the last carbine test
Opposite ends of the universe!🤣👍👊🦃
Also I also like that MP 7 Pro gun lube.
Goot N Thick! 😎😁👍👊🦃
Looks good , but I'll stay with my s&w 40s&w poly
They should have made 357 sig and 10mm
Sounds like S&W hasn’t worked out the kinks in 10mm yet
Yeah. America is sleeping on 40S&W and .357 Sig. Great rounds.
Unless the metal ones use a different barrel, you can just get a 357 SIG barrel for an M&P.
@@InvidiousIgnoramus i do get that, but I want my slide to match the caliber. That I am firing and fire.Arm manufacturers mark the slide for the caliber
I’d like to see canik do a forged rival S in 10mm
Hmmm🤔👊👍🦃
I really like/prefer the .40, but I am not a fan of the metal framed offerings. Bring back the 3.6" .40 w/ a plate & manual safety and I'm in. If that came with a manual safety option I would consider it.
45 ACP then someone needs to make a 40 super barrel and springs.
Love em both👊👍🦃
Do you think the .40 and the .357 calibers are on the way out???… Im like you everything is 9mm 9mm 9mm…
@markcapps6716
.40 s&w and .357 sig are on thin ice IMO.
Texas Church defender used a .357sig and that helped it a bit ( Unforeseen )
And supposedly stealth arms will be offering the Platypus 2011 in .357sig. We will see if it actually happens.
Sorry for the book but it was a great question.👍👍👍👊🦃
@@theturkeysopinionlol no problem sir I appreciate your response and enjoy your channel.I also have a Delta Elite 10mm and a XDM 10mm of which i carry, and also a Colt combat commander.45.Don’t get me wrong i like the 9mm as well but i do think they’re are more effective edc rounds..
Dear Santa... *Jot, jot, jot* Now I know what I'm getting next! 😅 Thanks!
Will the full size metal 40 slide swap to a compact 9 frame(OR if that matters)? Vice versa?
No not all all
I have never tried. I've never even owned a compact. But I wouldn't think so.
👊👍🦃
I've seen pictures of the full size/compact compatibility between the polymer frames. Just not sure on the metal frames. Since S&W is dragging on releasing optics ready 40 options I was hoping this would do the trick.
Perhaps they'll come out with a 10mm metal version that actually works.
That would be fantastic. Trust me, If they do.... We will have it ASAP. Me and that gun (2.0 10mm)have problems 😄
👊🦃👍
will the barrel from the gen 1 in 357 work in the 2.0?
So what you're saying is...
This M2.0 Metal is a great candidate for hot .40S&W and a KKM .357sig conversion, and a sweet Apex trigger kit. That's what you're saying. 😎
Perhaps the metal framed gun will let them produce a reliable 10mm in this platform.
I sure hope someone is working on that!👍🦃👊
👍🏼🙏🙏👍🏼
Yo CW!👍👍👍👍🦃👊
Nice to see a new 40! Funny how much the negativity flows from the forever nine folks. Nobody is trying to make them shoot 40. My freinds want me to concede that 9MM is "just as powerful". Not
It's crazy how they act.😄
It's like they don't know how to read numbers. Footpound energy calculators are free 🤣
They don't want to see the truth.👍👊🦃
i get tired hearing about 9 mm but i don't mind 40, 10mm, 357 sig & even 45 acp😊 just my opinion.
It's the 2.0 x 2.0 = .40
I love that!👍🦃👊
10 round Clip welcome to California 😢😢
Pro-Mag isn't the best, but it's not like the "GOOD OLD DAYS" of USA Magazines.

Yeah...TBP on my "let's get to shooting"
I wad the orininal "let's get to shooting" sayer....I think it was about 1976 when I applied for trademark🤷♂️
Thanks for calling TBP out! 👍👍👍👊🦃
@@theturkeysopinion haha!
Perhaps should have taken the *_let's get to goin'_* version and ran with that one - and avoid the cease & desist from TTO, Esq.
Got my M&P40 m2.0 - prefer it. Not metal.

Looks like a great pistol. Thanks 🦃. 🫡👍🇺🇲
I'm really happy with it. She's a keeper so far. Thanks for watching!👍🦃👊
Now that is one pretty tool.🫡
