As a Koenigsegg fan I want to see this amazing lap from the Koenigsegg view. The One:1 goes around in 2;32 with traffic and some bad corners (the actual lap record attempt was blocked due to noise regulations). So it probably could have done at least 2;30, and probably 2;26-2;28. Then compare the One:1 to the Jesko. 300 kg more downforce. 300 more horsepower. Faster gearbox. Rear wheel steering. Wider tires. Better suspension. Better braking. I think it could easily go sub 2:20. Let's just hope they will show what the car can do 🙂

There isn't going to be a track version of the Jesko. (At least not one they've announced.) There will be 2 ROAD car versions, a "top speed" version, and a "high downforce"version.
If the Senna had 265/35r19 on 9.5 and 325/30r20 on 12, a 2:20 - 2:22 time would be a good time to predict. A 100L fuel tank for extended track work and distance of travel on the road between fuel fill ups would be nice.

The Koenigsegg One:1 held the lap record for four years. That’s how crazy that car was. This was built for track use, so this thing was easily capable of setting the lap record. Also, the Koenigsegg did its lap with slow traffic and noise restrictions. The Koenigsegg was also more balanced to have a high top speed and be a track car at the same time. The Senna has a little more track bias than the Koenigsegg, and though it has way less horsepower than the Koenigsegg (789 vs 1,360) and is way slower than the Koenigsegg (211mph vs 273mph) it does not need the Koenigsegg’s speed or the horsepower, given that acceleration is on-par with the Koenigsegg and there is nowhere to really get to 200mph.
ANDRE That’s a great example of how serious McLaren is about their roadcars! They don’t want to make a “track-focused” car, they want to make cars that are that are actually good on a track. Props to them for it too!

I've enjoyed driving mine an awful lot, but riding for some laps to take in the better lines and see where to shave off some time has been incredible as well. Fair to say the Duncan is a skilled driver, especially to just throw out a lap this quick while testing - magic!
you could see it hold 1.6g's through the corners and peak at 1.7g's in braking. a lot of fast corners were taken at around 1.3g's so there was definitely a lot of time left on the table still
Great track car but if i had a million to spend i would buy something else. Still not attractive though i do appreciate its capabilities. Chris Harris said not a premium build quality either. I can get s few supercars. I would get the Porsche gt2rs and 600LT and still have money left over for something else
It would have been more informative if you would have given us a run down of its competitors for fastest stock production car at spa, yes I know I could probably find out myself by looking on the tinterweb but I can't be arsed too! You should be doing that work Shmee to make your videos better and more relevant! There is only so many times you can get away with pointing blue carbon out and telling us the Senna specs! I just want to know how fast it is and by how much over it's main rivals! Also is it possible to put slicks on a Senna? It would be good for us to see the comparisons, I think a lot a people really underestimate what tyres can do, just the different brands and spec of tyres can have a 10+ second difference over a lap and that will distort the actual cars performance, obviously it's not worth going that deep on all cars including sports and GT cars but for just these cars that the bespoke car companies are selling as a more track orientated car, The Senna, GT2RS, Pista and perfamonte, bang some slicks on all 4 cars and lets see what they can actually do around a track, pick 4 tracks too, Spa, Monza, Silverstone and the red bull ring would give us four different tracks catering for each car, and maybe a 2 lap run of the Nurbergring with Slicks and a pro LMP1 racing driver!! Depends on your definition of what best means you mean track times. Because when it comes to looks, build quality ,use ability not the best. Very fast track car no doubt. Fastest i don't know. I would like to see the brabham 62. 700hp alittle down but actually a few hundred pounds lighter then senna. The radical turbo with 600hp and very light maybe a few others.

Tim. Does your Senna have the same tyres as the one that done the lap? I only ask as Chris Harris's Top Gear video, he compared the Senna to the 570 gt3 and he said the Senna was understeering when pushed to the limits with the standard tyres also I think he said it could do with a wider tyre on the front(also a track tyre).
Chris must realize road legal cars like the Performante,ACR and Senna aren't comfy and soft...but still road legal.You can't drive your race car in downtown London or Monaco at midnight.

Yeah, everyone gave it excellent ratings and comments after having driven one. And lookwise... we haven't had such an iconic looking car from McLaren since the P1! MP4-12C, 540C, 570S, 650S, 675LT, 720S just don't really jive too well with me, whereas the 600LT looks an instant classic. The top exiting exhaust might be a bit of a gimmick, but I just freckin love that.

McLaren don't have the money to take away this role from Mercedes.
GT R probably does 2:35-2:37 here. To make an under 300 000£ car that can lap 75% as fast as an F1 car might not be possible.

I could just imagine how that would go down with the McLaren staff at a McLaren hosted event. They're already skittish enough about setting 'official' lap times in ANY of their cars, let alone doing a professional comparison between their flagship Senna and a V6 Ford GT ROFL!

Tim. Does your Senna have the same tyres as the one that done the lap? I only ask as Chris Harris's Top Gear video, he compared the Senna to the 570 gt3 and he said the Senna was understeering when pushed to the limits with the standard tyres also I think he said it could do with a wider tyre on the front(also a track tyre).
I will never watch Senna the same way after video of Chris Harris.

Chris must realize road legal cars like the Performante,ACR and Senna aren't comfy and soft...but still road legal.You can't drive your race car in downtown London or Monaco at midnight.

And lookwise... we haven't had such an iconic looking car from McLaren since the P1!
MP4-12C, 540C, 570S, 650S, 675LT, 720S just don't really jive too well with me, whereas the 600LT looks an instant classic.
The top exiting exhaust might be a bit of a gimmick, but I just freckin love that.

Hey Tim, what do you think of the video Chris Harris just released on the Senna?
Very interesting but it failed to mention a few aspects about the fact that it's much harder for a driver/owner like myself to get the maximum from a full spec GT3 car without the level of training and experience he's had racing.
Almost exactly 1 minute slower than Michael Schumacher in his F1 Ferrari. Crazy to think about
