Thanks for the curology coupon 👍🏼 I used to have a subscription way back when and completely forgot how good their products are . 😊 Also great haul ! 📚 Love watching your book hauls and the way you explain the plots of the stories LOVE you are so genuine and passionate when you speak about books. 🤗
I'm glad you're reading Box in the Woods!!! That's one of my favorite of the Truly Devious series ❤ how can you go wrong with a summer camp murder mystery?
Great Haul! My most recent purchases in the past two months have been Vanity Fair, The Dragonbone Chair, Demon Copperhead, Christine, The Cloisters, The Emperor of Ocean Park, The Overstory, The Once and Future Witches, The Book of Lost Things, The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O, Life After Life, Death in Venice, and Founding Mothers. I got a few books on my Kindle recently as well, The Omen, The Spellbook of Katrina Van Tassel, Blackwater, We Are the Dead, Sword of Kaigen, Ninth Rain, and Of Blood and Fire. I'm currently reading The Spellbook of Katrina Van Tassel. I have a used bookshop within walking distance so I go there often, but of course with the used book stores the selection is unpredictable. Sometimes its not ideal, but other times I have found some great books.
YESSSSS! You got the Whisperwicks! I sent an IG to you a couple weeks back, I CANNOT wait to see your review on it! This may actually be not only the best middle grade book I’ve read in a long time, but it may be my favorite book of this year. And it’s a freakin middle grade book! Village of the Damned and Gamed God Plays sounds awesome
I randomly picked up Lady Macbeth and enjoyed it, but can also see how some people disliked it. It was a 3.75 ⭐️ read for me but I looooved the gothic atmosphere which is perfect to read right now.
Yay, to be the first one! I am a huge fan of The Thursday Murder Club, but We Solve Murders was somehow even better. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something in his new book made the story much more relatable. Curious to hear your thoughts :)
Recently started Navola and it’s stunning. I’ve never read a book by this author but I’m seriously wondering why as he paints such a beautiful vivid world
@@ficuscarica3269 there's great review by liv on goodread, she broke down the whole character. But basically lady macbeth was powerful, ambitious, she was manipulating her way to the top. So clearly doesn't need to be more "feminist". Also I watched one review that despite synopsis this book is not about the lady mackbeth but she's just one of wives, and doesn't scream feminism either. But I guess if you didn't read Shakespeare then you might like it
I haven't done a major book haul in a while, as I'm trying to read all the books I already own first. I have gotten preorders of course, but no major book hauls.
If you're craving romantasy and Greek gods I'd like to recommend the Kingmaker Chronicles series by Amanda Bouchet. This series released before romantasy became a thing. The first trilogy center one couple and she is writing, I think 3 more focusing on other characters (one already released) They are alot of fun 😊
One I would recommend and don’t see it being spoken about is Asunder by Kerstin Hall. Great atmosphere, broken but wonderful characters. It was so good!
REAGAN I am begging you on my hands and knees to please read Unraveller by Frances Hardinge. It is dark upper middle grade but it has such beautiful elements of found family, coping with grief and trauma, and explores the question of “when does the search for justice become simply vengeance”. It was one of my favorite reads last year and I still think about it once a week!
I'm at 2000 books on my book giveway at work in 9 months . I thrift them to make sure kids and teens are still reading. My last trip I spent 25 and got 218 books. I'm a host at applebees🎉 I just thrifted some amazing vintage ones for my giveway
I just thrifted a book haul of 293 books for 55 dollars for my book giveway at work. I have given away over 2000 books for kids teens and adults in 9 months. I just dropped 5 videos showing the haul . Let's get this generation reading
I read middle grade books and young adult books. I consider it part of my job as an English teacher to know what books are out there. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with adults reading them.
I'm 47 and I enjoy reading middle grade books. There's a whimsy to them that isn't in adult books that makes them so fun. Also, middle grade horror isn't gory and has a coziness to it that I appreciate while still being spooky. Perfect autumn vibes.
I read middle grade and YA sometimes! Especially YA thrillers/mysteries. They can get away with being campy in a way that adult novels often can’t and I find it easier to suspend my disbelief lol
If A Song to Drown Rivers isn’t on your TBR, it should be! It’s one of my favorite reads of this year
The Voyage of the Damned is FANTASTIC. One of my favorites all year!!!
Thanks for the curology coupon 👍🏼

Also great haul ! 📚

I die for the Navola book....not only interested in the story but that cover is superb🤩
Immortal Dark does sound amazing, Vampires will always get my vote
I'm glad you're reading Box in the Woods!!! That's one of my favorite of the Truly Devious series ❤ how can you go wrong with a summer camp murder mystery?
Regan are you going to do a September reading wrap up? I really want to hear your final thoughts on The Spellshop and The God of the woods.
Same - I loved Spell Shop but was underwhelmed with God of the Woods.
Yes! I plan to do a large wrap up by the end of the month!

You will definitely love Immortal Dark!! It’s sooo good
Voyage of the Damned!!! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this book, it’s in my top 3 of the year so far!
I'm hoping you will do a reading vlog for Immortal Dark. I can't stop thinking about it! and seriously can't wait for book 2

I also loved the Whisperwicks! I randomly found it in Barnes and Noble, and I'm so glad I decided to give it a chance.
I read The Whisperwicks early this month and it was so good - still thinking about it!
I randomly picked up Lady Macbeth and enjoyed it, but can also see how some people disliked it. It was a 3.75 ⭐️ read for me but I looooved the gothic atmosphere which is perfect to read right now.

I adore KMM. Fairyloot is doing all her books ❤❤
If someone claims they wrote feminist version of lady macbeth, they clearly never read shakespear. Pass from me, sadly
Could you say more? I am not that familiar with Shakespeare so I am curious!

@@Iza56 thank you and I will read the review you mentioned !
Currently reading the blighted stars by Megan E. O’keefe and I think you would really love it! Slow burn space opera 👍🏻
Where did you get your sweater??? ❤️❤️❤️
I haven't done a major book haul in a while, as I'm trying to read all the books I already own first. I have gotten preorders of course, but no major book hauls.
That said, I have done some small book hauls, but nothing big (that will come when I finish my TBR lol).
I started reading Amari. Omg so good
The House at Watch Hill is really good !

Navola was a 5 star read for me!!!! Hope you love it and am interested in your thoughts. Medici family plot on steroids.
OMG THIS MAKES ME SO EXCITED

Halfway through this and it's amazing! Everyone should read it
Thanks for the great recs! 🍓🌸💖🐈
Yay! The Games Gods Play! Haven’t read it yet but it’s on my shelf and I love the author.
I love your sweater! May I ask where it's from? :D
Great unboxing video

I want to read an academy for liars so badly!!!
Anyone else heard about there possibly being a sixth and seventh in the Truly Devious world?
Ok house of watch hill...sounds exactly like the plot of fairydale, like i mean exact😂😂😂

❤❤

Good afternoon my dear friend
I’m wondering are adults reading middle grade books? Or are you covering them for parents seeking books for their kids?
I read middle grade books and young adult books. I consider it part of my job as an English teacher to know what books are out there. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with adults reading them.
I read middlegrade still sometimes and love it!! I'm 36🙂..currently reading the gryphon chronicles and it's sooo amazing!

I'm almost 43, and I still sometimes read middle grade and YA books.
