Thats why you get what he's got there. A water blocker. Not to mention the bumper stops 98% of water from getting in, only thing you'd have to worry is water from puddles going into the bumper. But again. Water blocker
I don't get it why put the air filter all the way down their and make holes for the air to go in but remember the air filter will suck water too and drill holes in your engine
I used to own an Acura Integra 2000, so I "Hoped" the cold air intake would fit when I bought it. Not only did it fit, it rests up against the A/C hose cover (rubber/foam) so I get no vibration noise! Almost installed easier than my Integra!
Hey! OK the air will flow how about the water when u cleaning your car and also when it rains. It will suck all the water going to your intake or engine. Remedy for this?
This looks and sounds really good in that car. I also have a crv, a 97... Pretty much the same. 2 questions though... Where is the mass air flow sensor? Do you have a check engine light on now from this mod?
1. MAF i believe is on throttle body 2. You will not throw a CEL if everything is tight and proper. 3. ^^^^^short Rams are NOT better, just to clear that up.
Hey man I was wondering whether to get a short ram intake with a shield or a cold air intake for my 98 integra.. I heard that cold air intakes suck up water when it goes through puddles or water or something.. my integra is stock height but it's still pretty low I just want to know if you or anyones had problems with the cold air intake sucking up water??
How do you figure short ram is better? I'm just wondering ? This system has a bypass filter... An SRI is not going to do squat but give you better throttle response and more sound. You are going to LOSE power because you are sucking heat soaked air from your engine bay with less oxygen density. A cold air if done properly is the way to go, short Rams in general don't do much of anything.
Hey! First off, sweet upgrade! Makes it look a lot better! Second, do you happen to know the model number of the intake? I have a 1999 CR-V and that looks exactly like what I want in mine. Also, did you install the bypass filter yourself by cutting out a section of the intake?
Good day there sir, I am so impressed of your intake. May I know the exact brand and model of it sir? also the original price in USD. In new to cars so pardon me for asking if you dont mind. hehe thanks. Respect from Cebu, Philippines bro!
***** transmissions seem to break on them. *it did on dad's crv too* and oddly enough we got another crv for the price of the transmission because it was right hand drive and had outdated papers.
This is how you make the CR-V USELESS for even the softer off roading.... With the air intake down there you cant cross the shallower of the creeks for street flood ever... Why people forget that the 1st Gen CR-V is a Crossover SUV considered a great bug out vehicle... Why making it a useless car for its real purposes?? I personally have a 2000 CR-V 4WD... And if something goes great with that car are off road accessories and mods... NO RACE TRACK mods...
apparently you do not know what a bypass filter is... if the lower filter is submerged, the water only rises up the intake tube to the other filter. please do your research before commenting. It might save you some embarrassment. :)
I am not embarrassed in any way, smartass! I do know what is a bypass filter... But installing that in a car like that is just stupid... So you are gonna rely in a bypass filter that may fail and get water in the engine, more than NO POSSIBILITY of getting water in the engine by just not putting the intake too low? Well, good for you. I preffer having my off road with the intake as away as possible from water than that... Unless you barely get the car into flooded roads or creeks... Well, in this case there is no doubt the CR-V is gonna be used for what it is not for: to be a "sporty" car, and never taken off road... What a waste. I preffer a snorkel... Well, I actually use my CR-V 4WD for outdoor trips... I have my Civic for everything related with sporty mods and CAIs with bypass filters, as I am not getting my Civic into flooded street very often.
We all use our vehicles in different ways man. No need to go full butthurt over it. The Cr-v is also quite capable on the road, and the awd system doesn't really work well for heavy off roading. Honda says in the manual that the car is best suited for mild off roading, like a dirt trail and only because of the increased ground clearance. The awd system is best in snow and rain, not mudding or heavy off roading. If you're using it for a bug out vehicle, you too are using the vehicle for something it wasn't intended for.
+John Fink check for reviews and make sure they are genuine ... the other thing you could do is you go on facebook and search for crv enthusiasts rd1 and ask for permission they will let you in and there you can ask questions but dont put anything up for sale or they will ban you
IT'S BEAUTIFUL MAN IT'S SET UP WAY BETTER THAN THE OLDER HONDAS I SEEN NOW A DAYS, I SALUTE YOU
Won't water be an issue with it mounted there
The bumper protects it
@@ifuckinghatelife2312 so going through bumper level water will kill it then
@@JBWorkshop90 unless you get a water blocker that goes over the cone
What intake manifold are you using on this setup
About to do this next weekend
Any updated videos? And without the heavy metal in the background?
Looks really cool breh, but I don’t know if I’ll be doing this to my 98, it just screams hydro lock!😬

The small tubes that go into the intake, what did you do with the other ones? I see only the valve cover one is in the intake now
Hey did you have to cut the tube in anyway to be able to join the bypass onto it?
Can do record more vid of the upgrades of your car?
Dude so the Acura cai fit right in? No prob? I got a electron blue 2k 5speed model, I wanna give it some spirit lol

Where can i buy this intake if you dont mine me asking thanks
Nice install! What model is that intake for? When I look it up per application, I get nothing helpful.
Nice!!!
Where did you put the iat sensor?
Regal Rivera He didn't put it anywhere.. they amount the the intake manifold lol...
Cuestión the check engine star if you change te original for the intake
What brand n model is it tryna get the same set up as you if you don't mind sir....
I own a honda 2000 crv

no, i have a short ram and it does better actually.

What was the size and dimension of the little tube fitting connected from the engine to the intake tube
Still need/want that model intake for my V. Cold air during the summer and make it a short ram during the winter. Can anybody help?
I'm going to try this for Mt 98 crv
So, this is an Integra intake? Did you have to mod it at all to fit the CRV?
Bypass val?
What model injen intake is that??
How much got it thank you good jod
Is this an LS Integra intake or GSR Integra?..i was told both intakes were different per manifold.
Andrewmk1 G
GSR is different intake
Rey Perez still didn't answer my question but okay!
when u removed the bumper was that the wins held wiper fuild tank and did u remove it?
Garbage catcher. The windshield wiper fluid is on the left side (driver side)
Manuel or automatic?
Automatic transmission. :) Much better acceleration now.
Title of the background music?
I wrote the background music just jammin with my guitar a long time ago, the song just fit nicely with the duration of the video :)

i installed a short ram intake on my honda civic but now my engine bogs out. did I install my intake wrong
probably too long of a pipe. short ram is a bit better IMO because you can't suck water into your engine like the cold air
It is because it is becoming heat soaked and sucking in all that hot air under hood.

You think I could do this on my 06 crv
It’s all good until water gets in your engine 😂
Who has most miles on a crv? (From the comm section) xD

222,000 miles on mine and I drive it full day making deliveries.

wow. so thrilling and informative. why don't you just install seat covers? seriously this isn't a hard or uncommon thing at all.
Useless, it be better to take the filter off the engine bay.
