For anyone that runs into the problem of that green clip attached to the one cable behind the resonator box when you go to remove it that isn’t shown in this video or many others. To get it off I used a flat head screw driver to get underneath the little clip and lifted it off, with some effort it came off just be careful not to puncture the cable it’s connected too or unplug it! I searched high and low for an answer on this a scrolled through 30 forms to find an answer for it, so I figured I’d share it here! good luck everyone :)

I didnt even buy it for extra power, even if it could manage that, I mostly bought it to clean up the engine bay and make it sound a bit better. It's amazing how none of your screws are rusted! Dam near all of mine are Rusted on, i bought a cai so I'm gonna pry open the top to get the sensor

Did the check engine light ever go on for this?
Have one of these civics, did the same thing and the improved sound suggested speed until a pal of mine with the identical car smoked me with the original set up. Only a cold air set up routing the intake hose or pipe through the hole on the right apron of the car increases torque a little.
cause you got a short ram intake. Not a cold air intake. Short ram intake purely cosmetic and is actually worst then stock intake. Cold air intake on the other hand is just slightly better then stock in take and looks nice cosmetically but pay a lot more for the small added amount of metal.
I have a 1999 crv. I want to move my oil filter up into the engine bay but I need to do a mod like this to make room for the relocation hardware for the oil filter. Where did you buy your short ram intake from? that engine compartment is dam tight, i hope this works. what are your views? great video by the way!

When you shut it off does it have that long flight air draw at the end that sounds like a jet engine cooling down or something. I always loved how the Honda Accords sound with pod filters.
i have the exact same intake for my 02 civic ex coupe and the thing with this cold air intake is that it's actually suppose to sit under the battery and thats the reason many people don't think it fits properly.

I hope this civic has had a valve adjustment by now.... can hear all the intake valves clacking, can't say much for the burned up exhaust valves. lol

I did a cold air intake on my civic just like yours too and there's is no need to take out the battery that's just more work and you don't have to open up the air box to take out senser you can just t pull it right out.
It's not cold air it's a short ram, and the improvement is only at the top end from my experience.
lol only good thats doing for your car is it's warming up faster in winter cuz of all that hot air it's sucking in
May I ask what the purpose of this intake is? I'm actually thinking of doing this because the bolts are stripped on my case set and can't change my filter.
I bought a small hand saw from Home Depot and sawed in the middle of the screw. I then used a flathead screwdriver to take them out.

I just bought a short ram for my 02 civic, but there is only 1 hole for the rubber tube, there's no second hole for the ma sensor. Do I need to plug this back in or can I run it without the sensor? Anyone have any suggestions?? I'd really appreciate it! 🙏🏻🙏🏻💯

Just wondering why you needed a cold air intake? Wasn't that ice I saw on your windshield? And aren't these intakes more beneficial to turbos?
it still gets you a little bit of additional power. Between the headers and the cold air intake in my 02 civic I scrapped out an extra 3 mpg on the highway. After a while it pays for itself in terms of gas mileage. But yes you're right generally a cold air intake doesn't do much with a natural aspiration motor. It's a nickle and dime amount of power and economy but for something that is as cheap as 150 bucks and takes 10 minutes to mount it ain't a bad option. Performance wise though not much point. You're getting 1 to 5 horsepower at max so you won't see it pull harder or anything real noticeable but your economy will improve. Besides most of what guys do to cars these days is cosmetic anyways and guys love showing of their cold airs.
Also likely where he's at it isn't cold all year long.
