I don't know if I can get behind this methodology. For example, most people with Seele have had her and have been farming for her since launch. She should have the best relics, on average, compared to any of the other characters. Jingliu should be the opposite, as the newest DPS. Obviously some people will have prefarmed, will take relics from other characters, will have saved relics from other farming, etc. It's hard to put a lot of stock in a broad average of clears given so many unaccounted for variables. There's also a resin efficiency question- characters whose BIS set comes packaged with another useful set will probably have better gear than a character whose BIS set runs with something people use more rarely. There's a question of alt clears- are they accounting for people who clear more than once and swap things out to intentionally push the limits of what can clear?
Ultimately, I think there's too much focus on comparing power levels of characters to each other instead of comparing them to the content. obviously some people take enjoyment from comparing characters, but how enjoyable is yelling "powercreep!" anytime someone comes out and smashes the endgame content specially built for them? At this point, I don't want Day 1 opinions on a character, I want Year 1 retrospectives. Kokomi from Genshin is a perfect example of how player and creator assessment at launch is inherently flawed. The best way to combat this is either to try and find the most static, controlled methodology possible (difficult to do given so many variables). An average from player usage is the opposite of a controlled variable situation.
at the same time i dont think you realize how strong Seele is with bothSW and Fu Xuan (as well as the quantum healer), which most Seele Players do not have.
One thing that people really aren't emphasizing enough is that the DPS you chose doesn't matter. Your harmony and Nihility characters make up for the majority of your damage and overall dps through utility/buffs/def break etc.
I have a very similar stand. The characters differ in their kits that are balanced in such a way that they are basically doing similar overall damage. The only that that does real difference is - ah - relics. A constant universe-embracing pain... I can't understand how people can have 250 CDmg on Jingliu, I barely get 150 (that is enough to clear MoC anyway).
I've been farming quantum domain since I got QQ, and threw most of my spare pieces onto Jingliu. Some of my less useful crit damage only pieces suddenly became super useful for Jingliu. Sitting at 22/246 on quantum set which is insanely good with her signature lightcone.
@@ItsVab I see. I don't have Jingliu's signature lc, so I am farming the Hunter of the Glacial Forest domain. I have been doing it for several months - not a single 5-star crit damage body :( I am on the verge of spending s self-modelling resin now.
Basically those who complain about jing yuan, they either sheep who follow other and don't test themselves or those who complain he needs high investment which understandable, but my danny also took high investment to clear the moc and I like the fact that everyone either trash talk or overhype every character except for blade, my man is chilling 😂
Jing Yuan was completely fixed by Fu. The only problem with Jing Yuan was that his skill and ulti dmg was very average. Most of his dmg comes from the Suzano, but if he got CC'd, that was it for the dmg phase that turn. Fu prevents any CC's on the team, can sustain on her own - Give her 8-9k hp, enough ERR and speed, and you will end up with immortal tank. Which means that you can create team with FU + 2x support + JY. My JY E0 has 57% CR, 190CD without his LC (Im waiting for the rerun), and he already hits like a truck in a team comp like Fu + Yukong/Pela (both at e6) + Ting (e6) + JY.
I knew it was better but glad to hear it was totally fixed~
the "Meta" analysis for both Hsr and genshin is completely dumb tbh.
one of the most important variable for an ever expanding pool of characters and content is ALWAYs undervalued, which is "Versatility", yes there cna be a very good characetr that is amazing in that one time but as much as they over-perform in that situation sorry but if a unit is not shining as bright as that one but i still very close and can be played everywhere and with everyone, i will value it way more, especially because on average that one versatile unit will be able to adapt to more accounts.

Minor mistake with what you said Jing Yuan isn't at his peak at blast or 3 enemies his peak it at true AOE or 5+ enemies
That's fairly inaccurate, Jing Yuan does his best at 2 elites, that's his ideal situation. In fact, one of the biggest hurdles in building him is getting him strong enough that he can clear trash mobs with his ult and skill in order to let Lightning Lord nuke 1-2 elites.
nope, Lightning Lord, which is a big part of his dmg, is not true AoE. The dmg will be distributed randomly among enemies, so it's better to have fewer enemies when the Lightning Lord hits.
@@YumiSumire Yes but currently 60% of his overall dmg is going to Skill+ULT and this is in his best team comp which Bronya+TY 55% wth TY+Asta. Jing Yuan is true aoe
@@ihale13 Yes but the only reason he was so dominant in 1.3 MOC was that there was more than 5 trash mobs at any given time his best performance will always be with more than 5 enemies on the field. Prydwen and CN tier list agree with this sentiment it's the reason why he has A tier on blast and S tier in AOE with the Prydwen tier list
There's lies, damned lies and statistics. The tier list is a much better guide for characters' relative strength. The evidence for this is when you look at the nitty gritty of the statistics you see 4* lightcones outperforming signature weapons and all kinds of wacky data. The explanation for Jing Yuan performing similarly to Imbibitor Lunae could just be that Jing Yuan mains are more dedicated and feel like he's an underdog so they spend more resin building him. IL is already so strong that there's really little incentive to try and min-max him. Anyway the cycle data is interesting but it should be taken with a huge grain of salt. I also think that there is less power creep in the DPS department than most people seem to think. I think they did overtune borth IL and Jingliu but they are now actively working on rebalancing by giving new BiS relic/planar sets for Jing Yuan, Kafka and Seele (and her quantum support crew) in the next patch. I think they are definitely intending to follow the Genshin path more than the Honkai 3rd path.
