@@caffeinegg Well, in Winter Night's Lazzo Arlecchino mentioned, that Pantalone and Pulcinella are "... businessmen and dignitaries always with a convenient excuse to remain in the comfort of your homeland". If my knowledge of the English language does not let me down (because it can), she mentions her homeland in the singular in relation to the two of them, so we can assume that they are both from Snezhnaya. At least I got that impression.
12:09 Um, actually - in Chenyu Vale, the unnamed god and her three adepti did not directly fight with Rex Lapis; instead was often caught up in the crossfire of the Archon War and finally as a last resort of survival (assuming only one god could rule a region, and Rex Lapis was too powerful for her to fight against), the god flooded Bishui River in hopes of destroying everything downstream. Of course, this means danger to the people so the adepti opposed their lord; Herblord fighting their mistress, Lingyuan (Bluey) herding the people to shelter and Fujin performing a Rainjade Rite to stabilize the flow of the river. edit: 17:06 not a correction but more of a 'fun' fact to add on; the boy's parents were Tatarasuna craftspeople and were likely dead by the effects of the remnants of Orobashi (from Crystal Marrow), leaving the child alone (whose also affected) causing him to die from the same illness (scara didn't understand this - but he still felt betrayed) I've only reached this part of the vid but either way, this was really informative and entertaining! i may add more if necessary but thank you for the great work on the summary of the artifacts' lore !
That is a point for you. Thank you for clarification. Also, I appreciate the add-on. It makes The Wanderer’s story even more tragic. I’m glad you enjoyed the video
Whoa your explanation makes me remember that half of guili assembly were flooded because of archon war and become dihua marsh. So it was the unnamed god of chenyu vale doing... Also the fact that fujin has visited guili plain and liyue harbour with the help of madame ping makes me understand that why she was so opposed of her master doing. Fujin once said in her world quest that guili plain was a beautiful place 😢
Um, actually - For Deepwood Memories, while it is somewhat true that Dottore had ploy to kidnap kids to gain access to Aranara (it is implied somewhere the reason why Fatui and Akademiya are working together for aranara reason), the POV of the person in Deepwood Memories Goblet is actually an old lady named Siman Farrokhzad, who is an Amurtan sage born in the desert (implied to be a child of an eremite from Khayyam's dialogue about her). The reason why Siman went this far to kidnap aranara is as the goblet said, she wants to remind her friend of the past and return to the moment when she and her two friends (Khayyam, and another guy named Irfan, who is implied to be a musician in one of the aranyaka quest) are at their most innocent, and wants to forever preserve memories in a way that is not chained by body limits or death: via dreams (this is why I suppose Dottore is into this research). This is also supported by the secret notes you can find about Khayyam behind Bimarstan where he is noted to suffer some form of Dementia and Siman wants to look after him, implying that her Aranara hunting quest is because she wants to "cure" his dementia or find ways to preserve memories forever. I need to remember the specifics of the dialogue (I believe it was from some sort of interactables on the wilderness of Sumeru), but I remember somewhere Lunja's and some other group of eremites (the one you encounter during Aranyaka and post-aranyaka) are supposed to report only to Siman, and not to the Fatui or Dottore, implying that Siman herself had been acting on her own for her own goal regardless of the cooperation with Dottore and the Fatui. That being said, putting aside my weird obsession to Sumeru lore, this video is truly excellent and I'm glad to watch it! It didn't really feel like a 30 minute video from how concise and entertaining the whole format is!
That is definitely a point for you. This is a very thorough write-up and I appreciate it a ton. Deepwood Memories was a set that I struggled to fully understand, so this helps fill the gaps I had. Weird obsessions or interests with lore and storytelling are 100 percent accepted here. Thanks for the explanation, it was a good read and I enjoy looking at old information with a new perspective.

It’s not a correction so it doesn’t need an um actually lol but I think the thunder soother has to do with tsurumi island and everything that happened there. I’m not sure how because I didn’t look at the artifacts myself but it has human sacrifice, thunder monster, “the past can never be fully pacified” aka the curse that was placed on the island by the thunder bird. Maybe it’s about whoever killed the thunderbird later? I remember that it went to serai after cursing tsurumi and then it was later killed and became the thunder manifestation that we fight on serai but I didn’t remember how it died and made that transition.
Honestly, that’s not a bad connection to make and it does work in some ways. The only problem is that currently it is believed that Ei killed Kapatcir, at least it’s assumed to be her in Ei’s trailer, not the Thundersoother. After she died, her power got sealed. Hibiki released her power and 2 thundering manifestations appeared. One on Tsurumi Island and another on Seirei island. I like where your head is at and it still has some merit. It's really hard to understand just listening to this video but I highly recommend reading it in the wiki, it's far more messed up than the way he described it in the video, and this is like only the first part of Sumeru's lore, there is far more civilizations that came just after this one which we have a lot of informations about but we don't learn about them in artifact sets
Glad to see you post again! I really enjoyed your first genshin video, and this one is a great summary of all the artifact sets. I haven't read a lot of them so thank you for doing the research. Edit: 34:11 this is too real lmao

21:06 um actually, Shirin didn't poison her family to get revenge, she was manipulated/influenced into doing it by Liloupar and then unalived herself after she realized what she had done.
Haha, proud of this one! I wanted to do something similar to this before, listing out who owned all the artifact sets and what they were about, but eventually procrastination got to me and the last I ever did was FoPL in Sumeru. Glad to see someone as comprehensive as this! Also, I believe Initiate was missed? Ah, doesn't matter. It's a two-piece set that's about a Northern Teyvat adventurer. That's it.
Love your video, genuinely. I adore genshins writing, and you explained everything clearly and with a good amount of detail. Glad that i can finally know more about the lore from artifacts without having to do all the reading myself haha. Hope to see more videos about genshin and the sorts in the future! I know your channel isn't huge now, but im sure it'll blow up someday :) keep making awesome videos man
Gotta give you props for making this video! Great job and may more find your channel so it pops off and dive into genshin lore thru digestible vids like. these
[6:55] My theory regarding Thundersoother, especially the bit about 'the past can never be fully pacified', is that something about its origins were either erased or suppressed within Irminsul. I have nothing to back that up, frankly, so it's more of a crack theory. But after the whole mess with Scara/Wanderer and Sumeru's old archon, (I'll try to be vague here to avoid spoiling it for newer players), I have to believe that shenanigans of that nature have happened before them.
Um, additionally: Thundersoother set could be referring to the routine sacrifices to the holy bird of tsurumi island. The circlet even looks like a bird face 😃 Edit: As for "the past can never be fully pacified," Tsurumi island is full of ghosts
I love genshin lore but am too lazy and busy because of classes to do the research it was so nice to have a summary of the lore like this… I would also like to know about the Elynas story like I did the quest he was a Dragon but I m sure he wasn’t the hydro dragon, so there are also other dragons? It’s so confusing and also the bird in inazuma where did she come from?
Hopefully, I can clear some confusion. There are a lot of dragons in Genshin. The oldest dragons are the Seven Dragon Sovereigns (Apep and Neuvillette). They ruled Teyvat before the Primordial One and the Archons. Vishaps are also a younger stage of dragons. It’s currently unknown where Elynas and the thunderbird came from, but they’re both ancient entities. There are a few theories online, but nothing super concrete. I don’t blame you , Genshin’s lore can be very confusing. If it were easy to understand, lore content creators like me wouldn’t need to exist.
dude you popped off with this video, the way you presented the information and also gave your own thoughts on the actual events rather than just reading it off like a robot made it so much better lmao. Great job with this man
wait hibiki is that old??? ive always been curious bout her since the neko in the shrine always talks about her. i had a feeling she died or sum but goddam---
Thank you, that’s a very nice compliment. I personally don’t feel comfortable enough with it yet like Ashikai or Minsleif, but that’s the goal. I’ll keep learning and studying up, Genshin’s world is pretty fun to explore.
Um actually, very important note with chenyu vale; the God of that region was a goddess. Also on the topic of chenyu vale, surprised you skipped mentioning Chengsheng when talking about the herblord.
6:29 Um actually it's dragonspine not dragonspire lmao I only caught this cause I've also made this mistake countless times (not to mention also calling it dragonspiral cause of pokemon black and white.. why are there so many that sound so similar??)
That is a point for you. I realized I said the wrong name a day after I posted the video. I’m also glad to know I’m not the only one that makes this mistake. Little less embarrassing now
It's also worth mentioning that the bloodstained knight killed the Viridescent Venerer (Sauce: Tighnari's signature 5-star bow) PS: nvm looks like you got that down
Um ackschualee ☝️🤓 We don't know from where Pantalone is, people speculate he's from Liyue cause he looks like Baizhu, we don't know of any harbingers that are from Liyue, which is weird, and he hates Morax cause he was very poor while growing up, but we don't know where he grew up.
Uhm actually, while there are theories around it, we don't actually know if Pantalone is from Liyue. He could very well be from Snezhnaya, as he talks about Liyue as if it's a foreign place to him in both the artifact set, and in Wrio's weapon description. Also! Snezhnaya is second in economics in large thanks to Pantalone even before attaining the Geo gnosis, so I wouldn't say just 'partially'. He's a savvy, manipulative and very cunning businessman.
@@caffeinegg nothing to be embarrassed about! I know many hc him being Liyuen anyways. Video was great overall, will definitely use it for writing purposes later. ;)
Um, actually, it’s Retracing Bolide not Retracting Bolide After watching this I’ve decided to read all the artifact sets and brush up on my lore knowledge, especially dragonspine and the whole of Gurabad…
Um actually the thing that Zhongli throws in his ult isn't a meteor, it's the memory of dust aka Guizhong's knowledge inside of a dumbbell, last of her heritage after her death during the archon war, a puzzle that Zhongli was never able to solve Or at least I'm pretty sure that is the case
You asked to be corrected, so here's the first correction: 0:50 - the name of the set is pronounced "Oh-Bleezhe", not "Oh-Blydge" - French word, French pronunciation.
Good question. I actually used both sources when researching. That's actually where I got that artifact chart in the beginning. Personally, I believe it's better for my long term understanding to go to the source and research it, then use the Genshin lore reddit to supplement my understanding. Some issues I had with the lore reddit was that I wanted to read the in-game texts so I could understand how people came up with their conclusions. The other issue was that there weren't discussions about certain artifacts or it was outdated. I read the artifact descriptions first, then checked the wiki to see how the artifacts connected to other lore items, then I checked the reddit to see if I was missing anything. Genuinely good question and thank you for watching.

That is a point for you. I made the mistake of trusting The Tale of Shiruyeh and Shirin too much.
This deserves more views, good video
I know your channel isn't huge now, but im sure it'll blow up someday :) keep making awesome videos man
Dear God that chart is nuts 😅 thanks for doing this
Gotta give you props for making this video! Great job and may more find your channel so it pops off and dive into genshin lore thru digestible vids like. these
Never know my hp pieces gonna have alot of lore
Thank you so much for making this!! Great job! :D
When you 100% genshin and have nothing to do but wait for the next update
keep it up bro. this was a really good video
excellent video. As a lore lover but not very good reading comprehension I appreciate this a lot.
was gonna do this myself thank god for this timing
Um actually um actually um actually um actuality um actually nice vid 🎉
[6:55] My theory regarding Thundersoother, especially the bit about 'the past can never be fully pacified', is that something about its origins were either erased or suppressed within Irminsul. I have nothing to back that up, frankly, so it's more of a crack theory. But after the whole mess with Scara/Wanderer and Sumeru's old archon, (I'll try to be vague here to avoid spoiling it for newer players), I have to believe that shenanigans of that nature have happened before them.
good video of artifacts lore. Trivia the only artifact appear in genshin manga is the scholar artifact you can see it on collei
On the note of summoning a whale. I WISH THAT WAS WHAT THEY DID IT WOULD HAVE BEEN INCREDIBLE
Really enjoyed watching this, thanks for the video
dude you popped off with this video, the way you presented the information and also gave your own thoughts on the actual events rather than just reading it off like a robot made it so much better lmao. Great job with this man
9:29
Captions:Which is about Rex Lapis's feet
an artifact set dedicated to Zhongli's feet 💀
Oh this is amazing I love the artifact lore
Thundersoother sounds vaguely like it's connected to Tsurumi island and it's people
8:16 them smoke detectors go crazy
Can we all agree that Dottore is the Diddy of the Fatui? What is with this guy and children???
dude i love genshin lore so much u don’t understand, i am reading these comments hunched over like a goblin rn
wait hibiki is that old??? ive always been curious bout her since the neko in the shrine always talks about her. i had a feeling she died or sum but goddam---
I have to say that I'm honestly surprised by your study of lore.
Thank you, that’s a very nice compliment. I personally don’t feel comfortable enough with it yet like Ashikai or Minsleif, but that’s the goal. I’ll keep learning and studying up, Genshin’s world is pretty fun to explore.
You should do weapon descriptions too
Actually i think thundersoother might be connected to thundering fury set lore abt ryu but just from another pov
Um actually, very important note with chenyu vale; the God of that region was a goddess. Also on the topic of chenyu vale, surprised you skipped mentioning Chengsheng when talking about the herblord.
Wow this is great!
pretty sure thunder soother is about rui from inazuma quest and thunder veast is kapatchir the electric bird
Little less embarrassing now
If only these were the sidequests
2:42 i swear the voice just changed
It's also worth mentioning that the bloodstained knight killed the Viridescent Venerer (Sauce: Tighnari's signature 5-star bow)
PS: nvm looks like you got that down
Um ackschualee ☝️🤓
We don't know from where Pantalone is, people speculate he's from Liyue cause he looks like Baizhu, we don't know of any harbingers that are from Liyue, which is weird, and he hates Morax cause he was very poor while growing up, but we don't know where he grew up.
That is a point for you. I appreciate the use of emojis.
Point for you. Funny thing is that I caught this mistake the day after I uploaded. A little embarrassing, but live and learn.
@@caffeinegg nothing to be embarrassed about! I know many hc him being Liyuen anyways. Video was great overall, will definitely use it for writing purposes later. ;)
Um, actually, it’s Retracing Bolide not Retracting Bolide
After watching this I’ve decided to read all the artifact sets and brush up on my lore knowledge, especially dragonspine and the whole of Gurabad…
That is a point for you. That is a really embarrassing mistake for me to make. Thanks for pointing out the correction.
Um actually the thing that Zhongli throws in his ult isn't a meteor, it's the memory of dust aka Guizhong's knowledge inside of a dumbbell, last of her heritage after her death during the archon war, a puzzle that Zhongli was never able to solve
Or at least I'm pretty sure that is the case
That is a point for you. I did not know that and it makes the relationship between Guizhong and Zhongli even more sad. Thanks for sharing.
Not me thinking is that why he just throws that thing around hoping it would just break someday, rather than solving it 😂
no zhongli's meteor wasn't guizhong bell
Bro a certified nerd(respectfully me too)
you ate
Unrelated to the lore, but where I can more of that Narzissenkreus animation?
I really wanna watch it fully
The animation is called End of All. It was a music video collab with Aimer and Genshin Impact. It’s really beautiful.
Isnt the herblord implied to be changsheng?
Yeah it's all but spelled out she is, but that didn't come until chenyu vale came out
@@RenaDeles dam
good video
My question is how long did it take to find out about this
You asked to be corrected, so here's the first correction:
0:50 - the name of the set is pronounced "Oh-Bleezhe", not "Oh-Blydge" - French word, French pronunciation.
6:00 - "Pantalo-NAY", not "Panta-Loan" - Harbinger names are all Italian Commedia archetypes; Italian names, Italian pronunciation.
25:55 - Narzissen-KROYTS. Germanic word. Germanic pronunciation.
All useful corrections. Thank you for helping me out.
So Interesting!
Wasn't Parsifal Lyney and Lynette's magician master?
This is so cool!!
Now do weapons 💀
Back to the lore mines for me
8:08 Was the beast Elynas?
so...did you get a vision after this?
urm, actually ☝️🤓
I love lore
Great 🤩

15:05 🫠😭
Um acthuly….
Wow
Um actually 🤓☝️
i don’t have anything i just wanted to say that💀
Um actually, it’s pronounced Oh-bleej
Um, actually could you speak a little slower please :(
That is a point for you, I appreciate the criticism.
@@caffeinegg Thank you king :3
lost me at the coin game, I hate those sorry
Why did you have to do all this research when you could just collect the lore from reddit? Everything has been done already.
@@caffeinegg nice, thanks for answering 👍 kudos for your dedication.
Erm.. AKSHUWALLY☝🤓 Ei gave him the name Kabukimono, not the Katsuragi's.
1:19 DRAKE?
